    Hi everyone,

We just wanted to confirm that we are aware of several issues on the live servers and that we are currently debugging them. We know that the most impactful is the input lag problem where your keyboard/mouse/controller doesn't register input in high-intensity situations. We are doing everything we can to figure out what is causing this and how to fix it as soon as possible.

When we have an update on these issues, we will let you know.

It doesn't just happen in "high-intensity" situations, it happens all the time, even just soloing a resource against NPC's.

I've opened 2 bug threads alluding to this: there is something wrong with resource guards in Cyro. I always get the perma-shield glitch after fighting NPCs in Cyro, and the input lag slowly degrades after that until I reset.

The keypresses definitely goes through because your character is twitching around trying to attack or cast skills. So I'd say the bigger issue is the server not working, and not that some peoples controllers stop registering input in some situations.

Wonder if this is the new cop out :D "we fixed keypresses not registering in some situations all is fine now" and then never speak of the lag again.

I think they are divesting in server capacity for PvP. They did the math, and the revenue stream is from new PvE players looking for overland, easy content. So they are divesting in server capacity for PvP and focusing on what makes them money.

From what I understand about the megaserver, this does not sound as plausible as you might think.

Please explain what you mean. Even with a megaserver resources are allocated according to a list of priorities, right?

800 pings in bg, not that the ping is accurate anyway. It works ok when they clean the servers, it's not that they don't have the resources it is just not being used for PvP

Haven't played in a couple weeks nor refreshed eso+ since ZoS can't get a handle on this. We're half through the patch cycle and it's still broken, any decent company would have just rolled back their "performance improvement" and figured out the issues before re-releasing, but here we are with this ***. I wonder if this will be fixed before greymoor or will just remain a permanent feature like the stuck in combat bug they never addressed after introducing it to cyrodiil.

PvE performance has been great since I started and during leveling. But when I go to Cyrodiil the game becomes unplyable. Why is it so different? PvE works great. PvP doesn't work at all for the most part. Why is it so different?

From what I hear, high level PVE, where it requires larger groups than 4 and has a lot more going on; doesn't work so hot either. The game is an MMO with the capabilities of a dungeon crawler at best.

PvP has to be getting low priority for resources, but than again in a endgame raid it is pretty bad too, not even close to the level of PvP but still it makes it very unpleasant. I think it's just, problem with server that is so extreme it feels like the game engine is broken and sadly it looks like they cannot fix it or will not due to resources. It's not a small company I don't get it but keep in mind it's about profitability so if it doesn't make sense to put money in they just won't, which is fine but making it sound like a fix is coming and cranking up selling content is just not cool.

Try go fight a dragon in Southern Elsweyr during prime time and tell me performance is great. You don't even have to go high level endgame to see how it affects all gameplay.

I feel like I'm in a super abusive relationship.

I like the game because it's an MMO with ES theme, and actual gameplay is fairly unique and engaging for an MMO - when it works. But then, I'm also always frustrated and upset when I try to do literally anything in the game. I end up quitting each day while feeling much less entertained and more angry, and go play a DIFFERENT game to chill me out from my ESO experience.

I dunno, I think it's time I end my relationship with ESO, as much as it will pain me to leave all the hundreds-and-hundreds of hours I've dumped into it. When I left for a couple years after the super-awful ESO launch, it was easier because I didn't have the investment - but now...this is difficult. :(

Yeah it really sucks, this game is so fun and has so many cool things I want to try or do, but there is literally no point when it just doesn't let you actually play it because of the lag it just ruins the experience of whatever you are doing. I cannot imagine what kind of decision making went in to letting it get this bad, this cannot be blamed on world events the performance was in steep decline due to BUNK patches that never should have gone live.

This game is a trap, it's not fair to let people get in to something and than have it be unplayable the second you get to endgame. It's deceptive to sell content for something that is not properly supported, it's not even like incomplete or going to improve it appears to be in the process of being destroyed *please prove me wrong ZOS*

Today I rezzed at a forward camp WITH the elder scroll. Then I ran around trying to find and kill the guy who had the scroll. Then people started yelling at me asking what the hell I was doing and why I was not running the scroll to our zone. I did have the scroll, sort of, but I could not see it. When I got back to the keep to seat the scroll, I had to log off to drop it.

This can't possibly be the norm. And again, this is during off peak usage times, with no faction being full population. I'd report what my ping was at the time, but it's painfully obvious the meter provided in game is not accurate. Another very common thing is that damage from siege isn't registered until you die. This can't possibly be the norm.

An NPC guard at a resource rekt me. The only other time I have been scared of an NPC is back in the day in craglorn when it was a “group” zone. That guard beat me down. I don’t know what happened. L2P I’m sure lol.

Yes, it's very noticable and annoying since update 25 recently. Specially in cyrodill. People seem to think it's lag. Makes a good fight nearly impossible.

@ZOS_GinaBruno: is ZOS aware of this?

Yes, posted in a different thread the other day, but we are aware and have been investigating the root cause. No fix at this time, but it's a priority to fix as quickly as we can.

Hi all, following this past Monday's PC incremental patch, we wanted to give you an update. While we are seeing some improvements with abilities and combat actions not activating as expected, we recognize that this is not yet fully resolved and are continuing to investigate. We want to thank those of you who have provided video footage of what you're experiencing on PC since Monday's patch. For those of you on Xbox One and PS4, you will be getting the fixes we published to PC in the next console incremental; we'll let you know when that is scheduled as soon as we can.

"Play a different game until patch" OK :)

Not sure if it has been noted here or not, but according to Kai, there are some fixes coming in the next incremental, but they won't likely fix everything.

    Hello everybody,

Once again for confirmation: We are aware of the current problems on the Liverservers, especially the delays in entering commands, and are working on corrections for this.
On Monday there will be a patch with stability improvements. However, it will not fix all problems.

It's discouraging, to say the least, that I'm commenting on this over a month later. I noticed and have been experiencing all these issues mentioned in this post but wasn't sure what was going on. I had just morphed a necro skill and thought trying to activate my own synergy was bugged, but after reading this I realize it's been everything else too and explains so much.

This is frustrating beyond belief, the amount of bugs and performance issues currently (going on for over a month at least) is unacceptable and frankly very unprofessional of ZoS. I have a brand new rig and solid internet and currently, the game is so unplayable, my PC won't even let me log in. This is a pure dumpster fire and the community deserves so much better.

I want to quit calling the issues lag as its clearly more than that. Position and health desync is more than just late. Getting stuck in a slow state is a bug and not lag. Lag kind of infers network or hardware latency and I think that is only a small part of it.
