    agree, and every time they nerf the shield the damage is also nerfed since the damage persists only as long as the shield, and their explanation makes no sense

    Just take the damage off and restore the shield strength to atleast 7k. Introduce 2 damage dealing ice monster sets q3 and call it a day.

    Well, reducing the CD back to 6 sec for Iceheart is a big rebuff at least.

    Initial change was:
    Reduced the damage shield this set provides to 6050 from 8600.
    - Reduced the damage per tick to 500 from 770.
    - Increased the cooldown to 12 seconds from 6.
    Effectively nerfing the set to about 33% of its original efficiency.

    With the changes we're at:
    5000 damage shield (58% of live shield)
    500 damage tick (65% of live damage)
    6 sec cd (same as live)

    If we weight both the shield and damage equally the set has been nerfed to around 61.5% of its efficiency. You could definitely make the argument that the lower shield lowers damage uptime. But this is definitely a lot better than the last iteration.

    Which is silly. Super unneeded nerf and then give the phony appearance that they tested more and listened to community. Plus it's the only ice monster set in the game.

    Well, that is the last feeback I am giving on this game. Obviously we are not listened to. PTS I will continue to use for my own build sets and parses, but I have no interest in being a free playtester, after all, if feedback similar to what we have given can be ignored, what it the point?

    As far as the game goes, I am now actively looking for something else, preferably with a dev team that actualy listens to the players. I will still keep playing in the interim, and my eso + account has a while to run. Once(if) I find something, I will do my best to try and get as many of my ingame friends to follow as that is now what I primarily play this game for.

    If they think the secondary function is to avoid damage so that the shield stays up and continues to deal damage then that damage should double every second the shield is active. Then it might actually be worth shield stacking to keep it going and it functions more as a damage set than a defensive set.

    On live the damage is already so low I never bother to think “I should go stand next to the mobs so iceheart hits them”, with the damage nerf it’s not going to change. Well I just won’t be wearing it anymore anyway.

    5k Shield is like 1 hit, you won’t even see the damage, it might tick once or twice lol.
    It needs to have 1 blast of damage, that has a %chance to proc Chill.

    I don't really have an incentive to buy this DLC. They even said in the Live event that the story line is "marginally" advanced by this dungeon. Given what they did to Iceheart, and the fact that do not listen (or care) about player feedback on PTS, I really don't feel any compulsion to buy this DLC. I might wait for the story DLC in a few months, but we'll see.

    Isn't the PRIMARY function of any damage shield to stay up so it stops you from oh I dunno - TAKING DAMAGE ?
    So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

    Okay so.. One of the comments gave me an idea. Take the total damage that Iceheart does on live over 6 seconds, then halve it. The first half damages in AOE when the shield is initially activated, and the second half of damage goes off when the shield lasts it's full 6 second duration and expires.

    I'm thinking of only getting this DLC from people who are sitting on a pile of Crowns they don't know what to do with.
    Certainly not with new RL money. Especially when just like the previous dungeon DLCs I won't be able to properly even see the story in a 4-man dungeon that people won't even want to do.

    I think they are running certain experiment à la Pavlov... if we complaint about a nerf, then the next step is to do exactly the opposite (a stronger nerf), discouraging further unwanted feedback.

    By the way, has anyone tested MC with cast time ultis? I've got a feeling this set was designed with magicka cast time ultis in mind, especially for mageblades and mageblade healers.
