oh so we just shut up?

Not at all. Ever. You are paying for a service and have every right to voice disagreement with it when it has failed to meet your standards and expectations. Just know who to be pissed at.

    This - NEVER shut up.

The key is to know WHO to be pissed at.

The other ting is that many of the people here really need to work on their presentation. You can be pissed and voice disagreements, but when you come across as an entitled child you will never get the response or resolution that you are looking for.

I have run car dealerships for a LONG time now, so customer service is VERY important. I can assure you that as a customer, HOW you come at someone with a complaint will dictate the level of response and resolution that you get.

Calling people lazy, greedy, incompetent, stupid ( which happens here l TON ) will get you ignored even if they are actually working on your problem. As customer service goes it's just not worth responding to that kind of garbage.

My advice would be 100% to voice your complaints / concerns, but do it in a way that isn't sarcastic, passive aggressive, or down right abusive. You may just get a better response.

I run my own (tiny) business and sometimes people are rude, but I still deal with them
    giphy.gif

Yeah, I obviously didn't mean it like that...
    :)

i don't know man...while my current perception is that zos seems to be much more connected to the fan base through reddit than this forum - i do understand the importance of players raising their concerns and a bit of hell when it comes to the game's performance...otherwise there is a very real chance that no performance issues would ever get addressed (which is sort of sad in of itself)...

personally though - i'd just feel kind of dumb complaining/voicing concerns regarding some leisure activity that basically involves me pissing my time away and a fairly unproductive manner...

i almost feel like i deserve what i get from zos for wasting so much of my time in tamriel...

i pvp a lot, and, we've had bugs and bad performance for years now, thankfully i've finally gotten to the point where i no longer keep trying to make it "work", if performance is poor (or, gets too aggravating) - i simply log off now...it's not like i don't have a ton of other *** to do, or, ways to relax...

What are you doing all day in the office ZOS? Paying customers expect you work on bugs, fixes, increase performance.
At this point it starts to feel like the money we all spend on eso is taken straight into this mobile game nobody cares about and whatever else you have going on. It's real and it's a fair comment. Rich was doing a forum AMA style thing and one person kept trolling and being toxic, Rich stated they didn't need to be in that thread.
Honestly I wish ZOS staff were given the freedom to smack down some of the trolls and toxic posters more often.

It's often the same names as well, people who seem to have nothing better to do but go on the forums and try to stir up more resentment for ZOS or attack everything they do. The game is in a shockingly bad place right now, and ZOS deserves a lot of criticism for how they've handled things, but too many people go about that in the wrong way.

If you're on a forum just to make angry or toxic posts because you're so unhappy about a game, it's time to walk away from that game. It's better for you mental health, trust me I've literally been there with this game.

And we should. It would be way too easy if theycould just "fix" their servers by simply having the number of folks using them decrease. They don't want to drop a penny for hardware or bug fixing ? At least I'll make them pay for the bandwidth.

Meh I came back to ESO (playing since launch pretty much) after a 6 month break, because a friend won a giveaway of an Elsweyr key and decided to give it to me so I can check out, in quotes, "all the new content and necromancer".
Didnt even last 2 full weeks before I got bored out of my mind.
Dragons? Meh, interresting for maybe a day or two at best.
The zone? Visually appealing, but im not a *** casual RPtard sorry.
PvE was the same ***, sunspire is a mediocre trial at best, sadly I got to clear it on veteran and it was a *** joke, its an insult to other actual trials, to call this a trial as well.
Also did other PvE content and was surpised that they managed to degrade the quality and introduce more fresh bugs into old content without even changing anything.
PvP also as expected the same laggy shitfiesta called cyrodiil, tried to queue bgs with few friends because faction locks dont allow me play with my friends, ended up sitting in queue for half an hour to faceroll randoms with a 4-man premade in a 5 minute deathmatch game.
Also not a fan of volendrung, because its only proper application is for PvDooring, it doesnt do *** all damage to other players.
Necromancer? Oh boy, more like Mediocremancer at best, at first glance interresting ablities which get boring after a few days of play, I tried to not powerlevel my necromancer so that I can experience the class, but there wasnt anything to experience.
Other classes are also the same ***, no real changes that are worthwile mentioning besides wings change, gameplay hasnt changed in the slightest, no CP progression or rework of CP.
Im just glad that I didnt have to spend a single penny on this so called "expansion".
Its a pity the game is killing itself due to corporate greed and pushing cosmetics rather than fixing long existing issues and bugs.
Idk maybe next year, ESO isnt worth my time atm.

There is a slight reversal in that statement. It is not that the customers are toxic and trolls for repeatedly complaining, it is how the toxic trolling players use repeat complaints to make the forums an unfriendly place to be.

The customer base is largely reasonable, I will give you that. Maybe not forgiving. Those people are probably the ones that ZOS listens to more easily than the toxic others in here.

As to what ZOS "deserves", I will say that ZOS definitely does not deserve some of the comments that I have seen in here. My hope is that they have been moderated off the forum.

This is the last grain of salt i pour on the server problems. This is my last post about it because i got tired of complaining. I am tired of my complaints blatantly ignored. Even during the "we will answer all your questions" hour and a half they gave us in surprise, i asked them about bandwidth upgrade because it is obviously not able to hold the amount of players. What i got is "we notified our dungeon team about it" since i was also explaining how it affects dungeons. I mean, the dungeon team tried. And in the new patch notes they said they fixed it. But u know. Since the bandwidth cant survive it, you guessed it, still bugged. I am done complaining. It wont get us anywhere. The board decided not to do anything about it. And thats why they keep quiet. Because admitting it will make them lose more cash than just ignoring.
I apologise if i am wrong in my statements, @ZOS_MattFiror you can correct me if i made any mistakes in my statements. I will just keep trying to enjoy the game we all love so much. And when it doesn't work? I will go play something else. When they fix things i might sub back.

If I'm patient enough the eta for my next successful log in might be just around the corner in late 2021 already! In my last message with support I clearly asked what's their plan to fix my account, no answer and ticket closed by the customer. It's amazing how easily they let many loyal customers just leave without much any effort to keep them playing and paying, however on this forum side they sure are very fast and motivated to remove comments and close threads.

Why are you being so negative. They work hard and it's only been 5 years. I normally say Rome was not built in a year but people got angry. So now I say wow was not built fully in 5 years. Do you think they had good servers. Impossible it was like 2004 technology was not that good. We are still playing catch up with technology.

Exactly. Besides, just take a look at what's going on the bug reports forum. Roughly 400 bug threads opened in the month of June alone and they only have had time to respond to maybe 10 of them. Nobody can really expect them to deal with that many issues and fix this guys account at the same time too - especially because he probably just needs to reboot his router, which I'm sure he's been told a hundred times already.

Just chill and give it a few years, everything is on the right track and it will all be smooth sailing soon enough.

Let's take a step back and appreciate all that zos has fixed. They cant fix this stuff in a day or week it takes years to get a game going. You should be happy they let play this beta right now.

My EU account has been completely stuck for over 3 months now, I wonder how long it takes to accidently work again, a year or maybe 2 whole years?

Sorry I didn't quite understand this part, my in game can watch others play? I cannot log in with my EU account at all since Wrathstone arrived, but my NA account still works, I played for about 5 weeks there and gave up. I've watched some ESO streams on Mixer.

See then it's good play on the NA side. I think your post said you got stuck in a spot. So I was saying be happy you get to watch others play. It could be worse and not be able to log in.

Even if its 5 mins of game time you gotta think that's 5 mins more than someone who could not log in. Gotta see the glass half full buddy.

Sure if pretending overpositive in sarcastic way, I could even be so happy about my situation that I'd keep on paying for ESO+ membership, it's just that great now! And yes my EU account got stuck immediately after Wrathstone download, support is aware and investigating, all tickets closed.

But you can stil watch videos from EU server on Youtube, take consolation in that. Furthermore, you may increase playback speed, in which case the game would run faster than if you actually played it.

Much wisdom here indeed, but does all this get me my third Grand Overlord character?

You make it sound like living vicariously is a bad thing. Isn't it enough to see other players on yt get grand overlord? That alone is well worth the cost of the monthly sub.
