I was actually discussing this with my girlfriend last night over dinner (nerd couples, heh).

We were both saying we can't really figure out where to place Matt because whilst he's very much on the business side, every time we've spoken with him at events he's always been very passionate about the games community as well as being very in touch with what's happening with the game (including issues). He's even spoken about his own experiences whilst playing the game.

Whilst I am sure he has signed off one some of the aspects we despise within ESO, I can't say I picture him in the "evil corporate man" place.

I'm not judging anyone personally, pointing fingers, or making any accusations here, but there are of course certain personality types which are very good at seeming charming, engaged and even concerned, even though they really couldn't care less.

People who seem concerned about problems, but then go home and sleep like babies, with those problems left permanently unsolved (or even having secretly caused them, themselves!).

So, it can be hard to tell.

I mean, a business is not going to allow someone who openly tells people he doesn't care about them, to interact with the public, are they?

Again, not saying anything, either way, about Matt - this is more a general observation of how the world often works and what kind of people tend to be allowed to rise to the top...

Seriously though, the chapter's selling point, the much awaited necromancer class, that they've been advertising and talking about everywhere is rife with bugs (not to mention it has gameplay-breaking issues in the new trial) that were mentioned from the PTS, but it still got released in that state... that it's becoming like most things in this game: great only IF we could actually play it.

Of course a chapter that was riddle with bugs and the bugs had been reported a month prior on the PTS still got released! You know why? ZOS had to get paid.

it would be a different argument on this thread if this would be the first issue since the game has come out but, now it's going on what 5 years and we still have some of the same bugs...

Let's take a step back and appreciate all that zos has fixed. They cant fix this stuff in a day or week it takes years to get a game going. You should be happy they let play this beta right now.

They're not our friends - they're people offering us a service for money.

They're a business and we're their customers.

End of story.

That's a big AGREE & AWESOME!!! People just want a reliable product.

I've generally felt that ZOS was trying their best in the past, even when they've screwed things up. But since Elsweyr, I'm starting to feel the same way you do, OP. It feels now like they're barely trying at all, and only care about their wallets currently, not about making the game playable. I used to think that was a cynical view to take, but ZOS's actions and responses to the playerbase since Elsweyr make it really hard to deny.

They prob working on next dlc for us. They will come around and things will be back to normal soon. Until then just take a walk around the game and look at the views.

That was a inside joke between 2 good friends. The player was stuck and was told you dont have to be here as in let me help you teleport back to a safe area.

^ That's not the only time Rich has dismissed customer complaints regarding performance. He has a weirdly defensive and snide attitude when it comes to people wanting the game's performance to be better, which is why I have no hope that this game will get any better as long as he's in charge.

Well, at least I dropped my sub so I no longer feel like I'm not wasting money on a broken game.
