Right now the Guild i am leading and the cool People are the only Things that let me stay with ESO. I love this universe and the Gameplay but when i can go into no Raid without seeing Bugs that kill People then it is hard to stay. Perhaps it would be the best way to stop playing for some time and come back when there are fixes for this but then i would leave my Guild and so i am going to stay.

Everyone who feels strongly about this game being continuously left in an abysmal state, go to every web retailer that sells this game, any outlet you can, and leave an honest review.

Let people know that ZOS will restrict features instead of fixing them (login queue, disallowing group finder queuing, faction lock, addon data request pings). There are minimal in-game cosmetic rewards. The storage allotment is intentionally too small for anyone to be a crafter without paying the sub. The PTS bug feedback is ignored and lunches live with all the bugs already pointed out. ZOS will tell us they’ve fixed a bug when nothing has been changed. The lag is only getting worse.

This. Nothing happens because the salt stays in the forums, where it's controlled. Players who are considering buying the game should be made aware of what they are paying for. I've already begun. Now that I don't actually play (ok, I logged in for mount training and writs, but that's all I can really do), this is basically going to be my new hobby.

oh so we just shut up?

Not at all. Ever. You are paying for a service and have every right to voice disagreement with it when it has failed to meet your standards and expectations. Just know who to be pissed at.

    This - NEVER shut up.

The key is to know WHO to be pissed at.

The other ting is that many of the people here really need to work on their presentation. You can be pissed and voice disagreements, but when you come across as an entitled child you will never get the response or resolution that you are looking for.

I have run car dealerships for a LONG time now, so customer service is VERY important. I can assure you that as a customer, HOW you come at someone with a complaint will dictate the level of response and resolution that you get.

Calling people lazy, greedy, incompetent, stupid ( which happens here l TON ) will get you ignored even if they are actually working on your problem. As customer service goes it's just not worth responding to that kind of garbage.

My advice would be 100% to voice your complaints / concerns, but do it in a way that isn't sarcastic, passive aggressive, or down right abusive. You may just get a better response.

I run my own (tiny) business and sometimes people are rude, but I still deal with them
    giphy.gif

Yeah, I obviously didn't mean it like that...
    :)

i don't know man...while my current perception is that zos seems to be much more connected to the fan base through reddit than this forum - i do understand the importance of players raising their concerns and a bit of hell when it comes to the game's performance...otherwise there is a very real chance that no performance issues would ever get addressed (which is sort of sad in of itself)...

personally though - i'd just feel kind of dumb complaining/voicing concerns regarding some leisure activity that basically involves me pissing my time away and a fairly unproductive manner...

i almost feel like i deserve what i get from zos for wasting so much of my time in tamriel...

i pvp a lot, and, we've had bugs and bad performance for years now, thankfully i've finally gotten to the point where i no longer keep trying to make it "work", if performance is poor (or, gets too aggravating) - i simply log off now...it's not like i don't have a ton of other *** to do, or, ways to relax...

You should never feel like that.

Pretty much all leisure activities (other than, possibly, crafts) are pointless pastimes, designed to be relaxing and enjoyable, rather than particularly constructive.

You're paying for a product and you deserve to get what you pay for.

...and by that, I don't just mean what you legally and specifically pay for (like the base game, a mount, or two and a craft bag), I mean that if you pay to play a game (even in a roundabout kind of way), the least you should expect is for it to function properly.

You are a legitimate customer, so act like one.

Even a small fraction of 13M customers makes a reasonable size class action. Too many white nights to answer subpoenas for zos though...

I don't really follow the last part of that, but at this point the worst option is the do nothing one (which is the one they're trying to push us to). So anyone who thinks this is unacceptable should take whatever actions they see fit regardless.

Actually, I agree with the above statement, even if it was submitted sarcastically. I think it is the best MMO on the market, right now.

What is sad is that ZOS has always had a rather laid back stance for fixing bugs, and communicating their intentions regarding fixing bugs. I don't even bother getting worked up about either, anymore. Nothing I can do about it, so long as there isn't a better "Best MMO" out there.

One does not retain "Best MMO" in a field of competitors with an attitude like that. Well, unless all the competitors are worse.

It was the best for a very short amount of time but only because of the content drought of FF and WoW. After the content patches of those two games, ESO became easily the worst AAA-MMO again.

The question posed in the thread title was an appropriate one on launch day. 5 years later you really shouldn't need to be asking it.
Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".

Those of you who have worked as developers probably understand this is typical corporate culture. You can't blame developers. Most developers I have met over the years take pride in their work. The problem in a corporate environment is that the people who manage the developers, and people who manage the managers, make decisions that are driven by profit and loss considerations. In other words, the first things that get implemented are the things that are most likely to make money. Things that don't directly generate revenue, like fixing bugs, are put on the shelf until a time where they are conceived to be a profit liability.

Now you would think GOOD managers understand you can only drive a car so far on a set of tires before you need to upgrade. They are proactive to keep the vehicle running smoothly to get them where they want to go. BAD manages will drive al the tread off until they blow a tire and have a breakdown. Yeah, if they want to keep using the vehicle, they then will get new tires. But in the meantime they endangered themselves and others riding in the vehicle. Too much of this, and people will find another way to travel.

Unfortunately, this company appears to run on the BAD side. The problems are likely to get fixed, but no time soon, and a lot of people will eventually find something else to do.

I know my guild trial groups have been cancelling runs because they are just too buggy. The bugs after the Elsweyr seem to be everywhere, my latency has almost doubled with frequent spikes into the red, which never used to happen...and I am losing the desire to log on as much as I used to.

While I'm sure ZOS is proud of their "millions of new players", they keep piling people into a car badly in need of maintenance. Caveat emptor.

They should let folks actually MOD their game. It’s the ONLY way bugs EVER get fixed in Bethesda games. I don’t mean addons either.

Bethesda lives in a dream world thinking their games are wildly popular because THEY made something good. They put out buggy messes and modders fix them.

I ain’t even going into 76...NPCs? Not even going there. After I watched that tho I stopped watching. Keep the mount. Keep the crappy crates. I’d LIKE to forget I saw that crap.

It makes me REALLY leery of spending any more money with these people. I ain’t buying the next chapter, I ain’t BUYING any of their other games for a long while coming. I’m TIRED of being disappointed...

I think it has to do with the overwhelming demand by a certain segment of players, for the company to bring out content faster and faster, because they claim to get bored otherwise.

And now people are surprised, seriously? So pick: either patience with new content, or deal with bugs.

No, I am not picking sides, I just understand that this is what happened with other games like this that I played and it's almost identical every time.
