Maintenance for the week of November 25:
• [COMPLETE] Xbox: NA and EU megaservers for maintenance – November 27, 6:00AM EST (11:00 UTC) - 9:00AM EST (14:00 UTC)
• [COMPLETE] PlayStation®: NA and EU megaservers for maintenance – November 27, 6:00AM EST (11:00 UTC) - 9:00AM EST (14:00 UTC)

You think that Bethesda paid the people in the audience to cheer?

Not Bethesda, but ZOS. They’ve spent all of their money apparently. And now they can’t pay enough developers to fix ESO.

Gina said they’re hiring. I know sometimes I get down on ZOS; but that was the best news I’d heard about ESO in a while because I truly enjoy the game. My frustrations with ESO stem from the fact that I like it so. I’m soooo glad them fools ain’t in trouble and can keep the servers on. Hiring is a good sign! :)

What? They can't even keep the servers on while they're supposed to be on  LFG queue issues, Steam login problems, patches breaking the game, PvP lag... let's hope they are spending that hiring money on fixing these fundamental technical issues. And let's not forget that the recent server meltdowns and issues are still going on after the happy announcement of them having expanded the servers... Let's have a big sarcastic woohoo for this upgrade!!!

    *squints*

Says the paid spokesperson on the forum

Obviously she was there in her free time, like the rest of Bethesda/ZeniMax employees in front rows. And despite fake news on reddit insinuating otherwise, she was not taking notes of who was applauding and who was not; she was just taking notes of new features in Fallout 76.

Anyway, as this irate person pointed out, when the bar is low enough, getting an inch off the ground looks like a giant leap for mankind. Imagine ZOS made EU server less obviously broken; players would applaud and sincerely.

Honestly this whole "they were paid!!!" is silly

People get excited in such events. How people acted there is 100% normal, even if people are critical of FO76 and whatnot

I have a feeling I know where this thread is going to go...

    *grabs popcorn*

Man, Patch 8.2 and WoW Classic can't come soon enough...so that our community here in ESO can be a bit more civil...

I really really hate to ask this. I fully understand where you are coming from. This must not be easy at all to read and hear about. When you say a lot, how many is a lot? From what I saw, it was the same people cheering over and over again and the rest of the crowd were just RESPECTFULLY silent.

Thank you. This much was super obvious to me, but unfortunately some thick-headed individuals seem to think otherwise.

So. People with a different opinion, you result to name calling. What about respecting other people's opinion? Socrates. Once you need to start slandering and name calling, you already lost the argument.

Why would they pay people to cheer when the vast majority of us are more than willing to do it anyway, for free?

The vast majority were silent in the auditorium. Respectfully silent. While we may complain on the internet, at least in person we are respectful.

I'm very proud of the work i've done (and hopefully be able to continue to do for a long time).

I feel sorry for people that can't be happy for work they've done without having to announce it to the whole world as loudly as they possibly can.

My condolences to people that can't be happy for themselves but need outside validation for it to be a worthy feeling.

It's silly to fight over how people express themselves. Let people be themselves.

What's wrong with people nowadays? Game company announcing big updates.

So please, enlighten me what the big update for ESO was? As for the rest of Bethesda games, more lies? Again, million of players? I really want to see the proof of this.
This morning I went to FB and saw the latest Bethesda news there. The comments were plagued with all sorts of abominations. So much hate and frustrations, made me question humanity. Luckily they are the 'brave' keyboard warriors frustrated with their own sorry lives and dumping their trash to forums, social networks etc. Minority, but extreme.

So. People can't have legit feelings? People with legit feelings that keep getting ignored? No apology? Hmmm. Funny you accept being disrespected. That is OK, it's perfectly fine. It's also perfectly fine that other people don't like being disrespect. Thing is, when you don't ACKNOWLEDGE it or worse make LITE of it, people get upset.

I'm sorry you had to actually come in here and defend yourselves from stupid conspiracy theories.

Stupid conspiracies? Well the proof is in the pudding. Why not give EVIDENCE that it's not real? Bethesda did all this to themselves. Zenimax Online did this to themselves as well. What disrespect towards people who CAN'T play the game?

"WOOP WOOP. People in Europe can't play. WOOP WOOP" Yeah that is respecting your player base.

I would have said no, except there was not a single boo during the Fallout 76 part. Even if they weren't paid? It was certainly a 'yes-man' audience.

I believe it was not a "yes man" audience at all. As I said already, while we may seem vile on the internet, we are respectful in person. Of course when I was at home watching this, I was yelling at the TV. My wife said I don't need to yell. I said, I need to make sure Todd hears me.

Of course that is at home. If I was there live, I would have been polite as well. After all, no reaction is the worst thing that can happen. At least when people BOO, you are getting a reaction out of them, good or bad. Means they CARE. When people are just silent or politely clap, yeah, that is reason for worry.

It was the same people WOOPING and Holloring. so I say 95% if not more were silent. Respectful, but silent. Once they came home, I am sure these are the same people who are online.

Say what you will about the Bethesda/Zenimax/ESO/TES/Fallout community, we are harsh on the internet, we are respectful in person.

Oh Zenimax has the money. The thing is Zenimax/Bethesda Softworks DON'T give the actual great awesome workers, the coders, the people who actually make the game, the TIME to do it properly.

Where did I say people were paid? Also I quoted the person who said it was a conspiracy theory. I see I did not explain myself about the Zenimax Online and Bethesda did this to themselves. By that I should have added if they properly talked to their customers, fans, community this in most cases wouldn't even have come up.

But I don't need to provide proof since the person said it was a conspiracy and I asked basically called them out how is it a conspiracy? I never said they were wrong or correct. :)
