Oh come on, they were the zos staff, of course they will cheer and i think there is nothing wrong with that. I found it actually funny how passionate some dev was.
Indeed but if you paid attention to this thread and these forums in general you would come away believing there is something wrong with celebrating your industry. The constant pure negativity is becoming a very disturbing yet consistent trend in the online ecosphere.

It's partially a cultural thing.
In Europe, it's considered somewhat crass to cheer yourself and by extension, a company you work for.
A polite clap would probably be considered more appropriate.

If it was the same crowd for the rest of E3 I’d say Keanu Reeves is enough to keep any of us hyped for a week, if not years.

May be you forget how the street are after a Football, Rugby, evening ?
They dont clap, they just sing, jump on cars (alarms starts), they yell, they sometimes put fire, .... yes more appropriate you say ?

ESO has a rather decent sized group of people that love the game and the community, and a few of them happened to be at the event. It was kind of expected for there to be some volume from the ESO crowd. I support the excited ESO fans and I think the people being extra crappy about it are super lame.

Seriously!! with all the negativity around us, seeing someone, and more, an adult, beeing so enthusiastic is for me the proof that we can still be silly, funny, and love what we are doing or watching or simply living.
Please @ZOS_Finn, never ever change. And never apologize for beeing human and still having the child in you
I know, but still i disagree, as i saw numerous VIP and companies (french, English, Italian ...) self applaud themselves. It is the human part. Never saw a child applaud himself ? So what, beeing an adult means that you have to loose the child in you ?@LauranaeIt's partially a cultural thing.

He's specifically talking about cheering for yourself as a person and/or company.
As in "Hey look how great i am!".
That has nothing to do with the lemming like sports idiocy you see in Europe ...
