We had a cinematic on a new IP with zero gameplay, frantic cheering.
We had a bunch of games that are all ready out featured, frantic cheering.
We had the insidious and predatory push on Dog Muck mobile games, frantic cheering.
We had Matt taking a deep breath, frantic cheering.
    Nothing on ES6, people cheered.
    Nothing on Starfield, people cheered.

Need I go on? If people want to cheer fine, but don't insult my intelligence by thinking I'm buying that its genuine.

Doom looked good, but people's standards and expectations have seriously lowered the past few years if people thought this was a good presentation of quality games.

Oh look at that, the ever classic, "If I personally don't like it that means nobody likes it" argument. We really need a downvote option for nonsense drivel like this.

Welcome, Moon-and-Star, to this place where destiny is made.

I play healers or DPS often for vet dungeons and trials (NA, CP810+). I play mostly elves or Argonians.
I primarily play Damage-Based stuff in PvP, but occasionally I'll play something tanky or got the heals.
I also love gaining more knowledge both metaphysical and mundane regarding TES lore.

I also occasionally role-play, but I prefer playing the game.

As someone who has been to BE3, nah, they don't pay people. People are hyped and just the energy will get people to be overly excited.

I would have said no, except there was not a single boo during the Fallout 76 part. Even if they weren't paid? It was certainly a 'yes-man' audience.

I saw Gina Bruno in the first line cheering on the presentations. I guess Bethesda is trying to cover up for the mess they did with Fallout 76 making a loud cheering like nothing happened.

It will be ok if they cheered at Elsweyr and Doom trailer. But to cheer TES:Blades? Ugh (shrugging)

That Tavern trailer looks pretty neat though. That drunken Mudcrab was a great joke.

Nice trailer (for Legends), shame about the update prices. Have you seen what they're asking for the Moons of Elsweyr preorder? My wallet is glad I'm drifting away from that game because it's becoming hopelessly over complicated.

I think "woo guy" is meme status now. I seen a Maximilian Dood reaction video that touched on it. :o
Starts at 6:50 if my time stamp does not work. Is funny to watch but Max can be pretty mean.

I watched the livestream from start to end and it felt...forced. The audience was either over the top screaming, or a smattering of awkward applause.

There was one point where the camera cut to a lady in the audience who wasn't clapping. She then looked directly at the camera & started giving a slow golf clap. It was cringe-worthy.

Whenever they said the word "free", it should have had a disclaimer pop up saying it's paid for by microtransactions.

ESO also felt like an afterthought.

And the f-bombs felt like a poor attempt to feel "cool" or "edgy" or something.

I don't know...Everything felt artificial for want of a better word.

You can see from the videos, the ones who led all the cheers were the staff in the front rows.

This was a Bethesda event.I would expect employees to be excited for their own company.

This is like criticizing ice cream lovers in the audience when a Baskin Robbins event happens, revealing their different flavors.

Don't look too hard into this...a conspiracy will find you at every turn.

The presentation went pretty good, imo. I'm pretty much dedicated to ESO, but the previews of the other games were interesting.

It is perfectly acceptable to cheer on a colleague you know has been working their butt off on something as well. It doesn't necessarily have to be about the game itself.

Maybe worse than a graffiti post that's lock-bait, this thread is one of the saddest indications of ignorance. More than that, it displays a dangerous propensity of using mob mentality to condemning people with zero evidence.

There are countless explanations of why there was cheering:
    - "She's presenting in a second language for her. I should be supportive and cheer."
    - "I'm so nervous I'm glad to see the friends in the company cheering me on."
    - "I'm glad everyone is excited. It's good that we have great company spirit and solidarity."
    - "If I don't cheer like the person next to me I'll feel weird."
    - It's a cultural thing to be polite and supportive of presenters. That's why people clap even when the circus acrobat flubs a jump.

You want to cast accusations at ZOS paying their employees to feign excitement? How about getting some evidence first.
No evidence? How about a formal apology and close this thread.
