On a sidenote, if it wasn't for Doom, ESO trailer and Deathloop, it would be a giant flop for that presentation. People went there hoping to see at least new teaser for TES6 or Starfield and got some *** mobile game and Blades on Switch, that can run full fledged Skyrim already. Imagine the disapointment. Even the new Wolfenstein was kinda "meh".

If I'd been there I would've been cheering for Fallout 76 just to make dudebros angry, even if I didn't like the concept of it as much as I do.

I was watching with several people in Discord voice and we all liked that one guy who was super hyped during the Zenimax presentation. Enthusiasm is fun to see.

Honestly, it’s most likely that the attendees were mostly studio members, studio member friends and families etc... and people had prob had a few drinks since it was evening time.

Or maybe not, but honestly, that amount of support for fallout 76 is ludicrous, turn on that game now, tell me it’s in a good state, there have been weapon duplication glitches, people run around with every OP weapon in the game because the found dev rooms, and because they could be duplicated no-one can prove what weapons are legit or not. I mean seriously, the game is finished, it’s a meme, “it just works”!?

I just can’t fathom how someone can support the disgraceful affair that game is, so much so, I would scream shill too.

I've never played '76 or read much about it because it just doesn't interest me (not a fan of post-apocalyptic wastelands or PvP) but I've heard a lot of people arguing about it and now you've said that I think the answer might be that some people like being able to be stupidly OP in games.

Whenever people have been talking about how bad it is there always seems to be one person (or more than one) saying people just hate it because they don't understand it and don't know how to play it effectively, and now I suspect that's what they mean - finding the dev rooms or other ways to work around the mechanics and make stupidly OP characters.

And yet, ESO is my favorite Elder Scrolls game.

I've played dozens of MMOs and hardly any of them have not been laggy and bug-infested with developers who ignore the players' favorite issues.

I think its great to be honest as the devs get to hear and see peoples enthusiasm and love for their games, where as me I would probably just shed a tear as I sat there quietly but my inner nerd going hyper critical lol

No matter how p2w something is considered

No matter what bugs are going on.

    No matter the server stability.

No matter the lack of content.

There will be people trying to play it. They will stick at it and “hype” it up. People were still hyping anthem even after they couldn’t even get the playerbase to make a single group lol.

Yes I do believe fallout 76 has some hardcore fans out there that make this stuff sound 100000% better then it really is to people lmfao

I doubt their audience was paid, It look worse then booing if anyone admitted they were paid or if this got proven true. I think just genuinely there are people out there who play these games and get all hyped about them.

To each their own, I guess.

When they were discussing eso and fallout76, I was screaming in the inside, because I was at work when bethlive was on.

But they didnt even say anything new about ESO, they shopwed another cinematic (which looked cool, I loved it) and then revealed the name of 2 already announced DLCs...

Thats it, we didnt even get any real information about the DLCs, other than "Yeah, come to our next con we might tell you more"

what do you expect? did you want them to lay out exactly what happens? chill, we'll be getting more information about Scalebreaker at Doomcon(Quakecon) in a little over a month because that is the next step in the Season of the Dragon and is a Q3 release.

I mean... seriously, I cant imagine that there are really people who still cheer for Fallout 76 or Elder Scrolls Blades...

And that new Mobile game? I honestly thought I accidently took skooma when I saw that one xD

Ultra Fans would still cheer for both. I mean I would never think that they pay people for cheering, but who knows.

I have played both games, but Fallout 76 struggled at the beginning with a lot of bugs for multiplayer. As I was not be able to play with my friends together because of issues, that game became a "book in the shelf" that I don't read anymore ("dustkeeper"). Rarely I login to just shoot a bit with the gattling laser and that's it. Some ultra fans still like that game a lot and claim level after level and enjoy it, so it seems to be not totally worse.

Elder Scrolls Blades is a nice in-between-game if you're sitting in the bus or train on your way to work. I can play some quests, open some chests and build new houses. At the beginning this game was a bit harder, because repair-costs were high and silver-chests (which you get a lot) took 3 hours to open (now only 1 hour). But as they fixed it and implemented some new quests, it got a bit more interesting. From my point of view it's still not a game to play as a "full game" (hour after hour), because it can be boring fast with the same quests over and over. But so far I didn't need to pay any money as I earned enough gems in that game to buy the things i needed/wanted myself. So therefore: As a free game it's nice for in-between-sessions.

For me Elder Scrolls Online is still the most fascinating and I am happy to be part of it and of the community. I would cheer for this game!

Doubtful. It's a self-selected crowd of fanboys (not necessarily negative), of course they are going to cheer. Especially streamers and such in the first row who depend on Bethesda's success. Nobody needs to get paid explicitly just because interests converge.

But the Bethesda-hate-train is still going strong, so such conspiracy theories are to be expected.
