No because it’s in PvP land. I shall never step foot in Cyrodiil.

if it means Prison and White Tower and Storyline means "read/listen all dialogs to understand what's going on" then no.

Though WGT can be soloed this days i think, even without "screw oneshot mechanics" sets like Phoenix.

With Phoenix, i think, it is possible to solo probably any DLC dungeon (normal ofcuz). Assuming you are magicka char, preferably pet sorc.

Tried it once, got ganked 24/7, never tried again.

I play a PvE Character with a Roleplaying build, Werewolf, human form is only build to get Ultimate fast, and my sets are also Werewolf related, Salvation for faster Transformation and then a set with an effect I like (right now the Clockwork crow set).

So my character is in no way powerful, and in PvP, I get owned by these guys who all play the exact same build, have the exact same set and use the exact same rotation.

So yeah, i guess im never going to do this questline, unless they make a PvE Area for it.

I did it a bit after the launch. I loved IC at launch, I spent a lot of time in there.

The main quest was not what I did first, but it was still very populated when I completed it. It was awesome, these quests are very good.

there is some seriously heroic stuff going on there, in one of the more player "unfriendly" areas...

I've died so many times doing quests, especially that quest where you have to defend the different walls, it's a long fight and it's hard to do "stealthly"...even if I die I'll hang around and hope whoever killed me finishes the fight so I can still get credit...

it's been a while since I've attempted it, but, still haven't soloed the defeat molag bal's temple forces quest...I always run out of resources, then the titan kills me...need one other - friend or foe...

once IC turns into it's own map, I'll park all my different alliance toons that can't enter on the main 30 day cp map...

Exactly, that's where I'm stuck, too. Unfortunately we're on different servers and platforms...

The 'defend the walls' quest was the one where I received unexpected help from an enemy player. When they noticed that I didn't even try to fight back, they saluted my char who then despawned his pets, then we finished the quest together. That was very kind of the other person.

I honestly don't remember. I did some quests a couple of years back but don't know if I did them all. Imperial City is not my place to be. It has been at least two years that if been there.

Not only on my main character, but also on few alts :) It gives only 1 skill point, but the quests are okay, and the last quest is very touching. It really gives the feeling that you have participated in something great but nobody in game story will ever know about it, except you and few NPCs there.
    OVPXzDh.jpg

Funny, my main character did it only few month ago, while my first alt did it like years ago :D I really hate upcoming changes to IC in Elsweyr, questing will be harder there so even less people than now will be able to experience the main quest. It's could be such an awesome PvE zone if developers didn't try to mix PvP and questing :'(

Almost finished it back in 2016, except for one quest which was bugged then, so I finished the questline Summer 2018 instead. It was ok, and you can do a daily for each district which rewards you a Tel Var container worth 250 of them (or was it 150? Been a while since I went there). But you get Tel Var quicker just by slaughtering some mobs, so there's that.

Yes, I did it. Did the last missions late at night. The arena part was done earlier, during day light time, with randoms from same alliance.

I struggled a few times but once I understood the respawing/mech and manage to have a better sustain, it all became easier to soloed it.

I also had no idea there was a storyline. I always assumed it was a PvPvE cluster**** that added yet another special new currency for me to ignore. Especially since this currency can be stolen when you're ganked. The entire premise of that design, combined with ESO's infamous latency issues for PVP, meant my response to the DLC has been the same ever since it went live:

If there's a good storyline I could be tempted though. Anyone got any tips for surviving in this part of PVPland?

Why because you might die? :#

Look PvP folks, it's not the dying we mind, it's the inability to respawn where we died xD
Trying to quest and having to run back to where you were every time someone decides you look tasty is annoying af.

Imperial city harbors some sincere love from me as a gamer. The atmosphere, the feeling of always being on your toes, the challenge of the bosses (at least in the no CP campaign), the loot (at least at release), and the group-play. You just don’t get any of that in any other games.

Storywise the contrast between the pointless back and forth between the 3 alliances in Cyrodiil and the people of the IC struggling for suurvival while the rest of Tamriel rather bash their heads over control of the keeps around the city is amazing.

And gameplay wise the mix of public dungeon type mobs, patrolling raid bosses and lurking gankers is quite exciting.

Got a magblade? If so, take it in and learn to remain cloaked indefinitely, but pay attention to the major bosses; they'll have a blue circle around them representing their detection radius. If you enter that, they'll prevent you from going back into stealth for a few seconds. Oh, and they're not leashed, which means they won't stop chasing you after a certain point.

Otherwise, carry no tel var with you when you enter, unless you're wanting to farm tel var, in which case I recommend taking 1000 (1000 will give you the 3x tel var multiplier when you kill enemies; 10k will give you the 4x multiplier. To get a sense of how much they're worth, remember that you can buy a Hakeijo run for 5k tel var, which are worth about 10k gold... I torture myself and think of my deaths in terms of potential gold lost from selling a Hakeijo. Each 5k tel var lost is equivalent to 10k gold.

Having finished my tangent, in summary: Magblade is best down there, at least IMO; avoid bosses; carry no tel var. You can cheat the system if you don't feel like slogging back to your home base and queue for a different campaign. Entering it will put you back at the Cyro entry gates.

awwww, thanks @redlink1979 ...i've done the IC stuff on 4 characters now (i really like the story line - it's both tragic and inspirational)...it's been at least a year or so since i've tried soloing that particular fight - hopefully i've gotten a little better at the game since then, so, i'd like to give it another solo try...
