If anyone is planning on doing the IC storyline, I suggest either doing it right now or grouping up for it after Elsweyr.
I did it in one evening and had no PvP issues (was also on a magblade to be fair :sunglasses:), but that's because IC is pretty abandoned and most people flipping districts or farming tel var won't bother to chase people who are just doing quests.

In Elsweyr however, IC will get its own campaign so it will be easier to enter, and thus will be more attractive and more populated. So the days of sneaking around without meeting a soul because nobody could be bothered to ride to IC through a dead campaign are over  (Which is good for PvP obviously but less good for PvE folks who just want to experience the story without any PvP)

No only been in to complete master writs, but a guild I'm in has all stations now. I don't do PvP. I bought the pet so I'm not bothered about the storyline.

it took months and a LOT of help. I only managed on a single character and I don't think I'll ever finish it on anyone else. unfortunately :(

I did it when DLC launched and there were zergs everywhere and people grouping for quests which is the way ZOS designed them. It was the only zone with V16 gear (now CP160) in the whole game and NPCs hit like a truck. Crazy and fun

Isn't that in a PvP area? No.

I'm lousy at PvP, see no reason to die often for a story line.

I've only gone to most of the new areas to fish, IC included.

I've only done the normal story line on 1 of 12 'toons about 20% of the way anyway/

I just gallivant and collect node locations for the most part.
I can't be arsed with most of the 'story' though I've done many random quests.

The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

IC is going to be it's own campaign soon, so it will likely get populated. Anyone who hasn't done this storyline I highly suggest it: The environment looks and feels great and the storyline is genuinely entertaining.

Did it in the heyday of IC when it was packed with players. Good times.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

honestly? i barely got the story, because with constant ganking and crap, half the time I didn't get to listen to the npc's or anything, becasue I was too busy trying to have eyes on a back of my head, watching out for enemy players. had to do it that way, after dying repeatedly during first stage of the quest. the only part i got to properly enjoy was the very last one and that is becasue its instanced, so i didn't have to worry about pvp, or making people wait while defending my back from pvp.

and it was pretty cool, but I didn't get nearly as much detail to it as i wished, becasue I had to skip through a LOT.

I really really wish they made this story separate from pvp areas. its even worse then trying to do the story quests inside group dungeons.

Took me awhile since I could not find any simple information on how to enter the city/start the quest, in the first place.

After that did the story, took a load of invisibility potions with me collected all the Skyshards in the sewers than the city itself. Dodged a lot of Zerg groups, thanks to the potions and being stage 4 vampire.

Once I did everything I considered important started taking the districts one by one on my tank, took awhile to kill the guards but kept going till I got noticed, even then I kept one step ahead of those reclaiming the districts, kept it up till they gave up :) probably a low population time but still enjoyed myself.

    Rarely gone back though.
