    Hi everyone,

I want to personally apologize for the line from today's patch notes. What was meant to be a joke was ultimately distasteful, insensitive, and offensive toward an issue that should be taken seriously. As mentioned in a different thread, we do have a fix going into Update 21 that will help with some FPS issues in Cyrodiil, and we're continuing to look into how to improve overall performance. This is important to us.

    Please accept my apologies.

    Sure!

People are mad with LAG (servers), not with you. About your comente, just a litle and light good joke, nothing more. Dont worrie about it!

Correct, which is why she should be more professional. Part of her job is to better facilitate communication and understanding between ZOS and the ESO community and though some people are tolerant of it, it's clear that to others this will be a wedge.

Considering that you haven't removed the joke which you call distasteful, insensitive and offensive, I think it's safe to say this apology isn't sincere.

So not only does a community manager feel it's okay to joke about a legitimate issue that causes customers extreme frustration, her superiors are also okay with it or it would have been edited by now. This is insight into how ZOS managers and execs feel about gaming enthusiasts and, especially, AvA players affected by the crippling lag issues of ESO.

As myself I didn't find it offensive. But then I was born and raised in the Marine Corps and surrounded all my life by people with a rough sense of humor. As a manager who deals with hundreds of employees and literally thousands of customers a day while having to be "the face" of my company at the time the joke shows me that either @ZOS_GinaBruno is either very out of touch with her customers and very bad at her job(something I do NOT believe for a minute. She's actually very good and I sympathize with her in her job and have done so in past posts) or that some of the issues, performance specifically lag, just isn't a huge issue in the office where it might have crossed her mind as a sore spot for certain...sensitive customers. If it's not a talking point or priority in the office than it is what it is.

I don't find that joke hilarious at all considering I have my friends list decimated for that very reason, plus nerfs.

Being said that, I don't think she had bad intentions or she meant to p!ss people off, while I don't appreciate the joke Gina is truly the last person I would blame for anything happening to this game and she seems always helpful around here for what she can.

What I find hilarious here is the people so astonished and offended many didn't appreciate the joke, no you geniuses, a lot of people left for good if you aren't aware, many others are on the edge and there are enough reasons to not appreciate jokes from anyone at ZOS while the bugs section is exploding and every day performance problems are reported everywhere.

I read now Gina has replied, thank you @ZOS_GinaBruno , I personally appreciate it greatly.

I thought you didn't meant bad with that, though I appreciate you got back to us and made all clear.

It's been great from you to do so and very classy.

Oh yes. There would have been much fun if she had joked the same way about the group finder queue issues during the recent event. I'm sure that would have gone over well.

"if you having queue problems I feel bad for you son..." For some reason, I think that would have been less funny to most ESO players.

The main reason she can get away with this is that while all players experience lag occasionally, it is only an ongoing and severe/game breaking issue in AvA which is played only by a minority of players -- especially as their main focus of the game.

@ZOS_GinaBruno It doesnt have to be like this. It wouldn't have been insensitive if you guys communicated more on the issue. When its nearly impossible to find a comment or update from zos on this major game breaking issue it sucks to see a comment like that..

Its the same reason people get frustrated when they see a Z on a performance thread only to find its a mod removing posts.. Its not the mods fault but its just people have hope that things will get better.. Its so bad in cyrodil. Its so bad on console. And we never get any information on it. No regular updates. Something that all of us would expect when the cyrodil performance has been on a downward spiral since one tamirel. Never getting better.

Its frustrating to see the pvp population decline, streamers leaving for other games, and our friends quitting the game.. But its always nice to see a comment from a zos team member like this. Its hard to believe that things will ever change but its always nice to see its being worked on.. The problem is that if we haven't heard anything about it 6,7,8, months it gets frustrating. And its sad that you cant even make a joke without it getting like this. But this is because of how the pvp community feels, ignored and neglected with no hope in sight for this game.
