Some of you need to calm the hell down. Gina is amazing, and this was funny af. Every time I see it somewhere I start cracking up all over again. Don't you dare turn this into an issue. Unless you want super boring patch notes from now on because half the people here wanted to riot over a dam joke. It isn't even an offensive joke, it said lag *gasp* call the police quick, press charges, riot in the streets, we cannot stand for this language!!!

Gina's remark was most unfortunate. Being an Online game, lag is unacceptable. Now, it is fair to say that half of the problems might be on the user's end, their computer, their connection, the distance they are from the server, etc. It is also fair to say that online gaming is unpredictable and virtually all the companies have issues in trying to provide a flawless experience, they aren't gods after all. However to joke about it is most disappointing. Signals to me they aren't bothered about fixing the problems, whatever it is the customers will keep paying so why worry.

Let me tell you how lag destroy the experience. Not even so the lag but the disconnects. In RP if you disconnect, it's horrible, until you return and get caught up on everything that's been done, it breaks the immersion and is even worse if you are supposed to be on a ceremony of sorts.

ON PVE, goodbye achievements in VMA, that's especially horrible when you are on last boss close to Flawless. Goodbye scores and group performance in trials as people are offline sometimes in middle of battle or lags compromise the rotation, etc.

ON PVP, goodbye battlegrounds plus enjoy that deserter cooldown because you were disconnected. Cyrodiil is especially horrible, you can't keep up with your zerg or you can't play well to survive against a zerg. Lost keeps, lost AP, lost the action, takes forever to relog and you end up on the initial gate, which is most infuriating when you are on a scroll run/pursuit.

ON general aspects, you are doing a bid on your trading guild for that item you coveted, then disconnected and lost the bid. You are dealing in zone chat trying to buy or sell stuff, recruit people for guilds, getting valuable information and bang disconnected.

Several situations like that, absolutely part and parcel of an online game. Thing is that many things were traced as ZOS' fault, they even admitted it sometime. Thing is that such situations happens way too often. Thing is that fixes aren't working, because after many patch notes saying they increased performance in Cyrodiill...c'mon guys. And to joke about it?

To Oblivion with the balance issues, with crown store money grab, with the changes that make no sense, with the PVE that gets nerfed, with the PVP that gets screwed. The one and only thing an online game has to succeed is on keeping people online LOFL Small annoyances can be dealt with at the time being but they accumulate and explode over time.

Oh this one agrees. We are in a spiral presently where anger produces silence which produces more anger. One or both need to break out of that pattern.

Whether it was a joke or not, it speaks to how seriously ZOS takes their engagement with the community.

From my chair, it looks like ZOS is making a lot of money from cosmetics and are so giddy about their success that they can laugh at all the angry customers with issues they don't have to care about.

@AcadianPaladin, having interacted with her personally, it does sound like her, but not something I'd have expected to read in patch notes. She has a really sharp sense of humor, but it doesn't often make it into her posts.

ok: Make more ingame reports about this with details, what provider you have got and which data - rate(i guess 5k at some even)..
No lags.Even if the server is smoking by overload. Only not computable things may be lagging. Skills to late, mobs not there/immortal etc etc.
´am fine with akami since they had stopped to be smuggling in the web client. This was the point why a lot where ranting. Bitraider(an others games"must have" tool wasnt better. I had force - un installed it with iobit uninstaller. The game runs without it.

Sure it was good for a chuckle but you know what? It ain’t funny anymore. I mean we’ve been banging our heads against the wall for years now, with absolutely nothing from ZOS. As far as we know they can fix it and just won’t invest the time and money. Yeah yeah it’s not Gina’s doing, but the time for jokes about lag is looooong past. So, haha, but also I’m only laughing a little because I don’t pay for this game anymore so ultimately I have no investment in its future.
