Oceanic Lag now 300-400 ms even with a vpn - was 250-300??

In all fairness having white numbers in latency makes the game at least playable/enjoyable. You know, bar swopping & abilities firing off when you press the button just the once. Quality of life stuff,lol.

I use Mudfish and I get pretty good pings with occasional spikes, on parity with what I got prior to the Akamai fiasco of last September (still current.)

I did use BattlePing previously but Mudfish seems to be better value for money as I have cut down my ESO playtime considerably since dropping subscription due to the ping issue.

I use a Mudfish server on the West Coast USA, so hopefully close to where the route disappears into Akamai West Coast scrubbers.

YMMV.

I am using battleping now, and it keeps me between 260 and 300 most of the time.

This topic alone and the lack of responde from ZoS should be reason enough for the whole community to riot and demand a fix. Unfortunately people here only care when the problems affect them. For instance many did not care about EU server bad performance until the problem started affecting more that just pvp and the group finder. Funny.

I feel the way AUS/NZ community are treated by ZoS disgusting. It only means they don't give a fvck about the people who pay for their game. That's a good sign to stop giving them money.

As bad as it is for PC/NA -Oceanics, consoles performance is way worse and then we have Eu. With all of that discontent, apparently zos is killing it. We really are wasting our breathe. We can keep trying but it is forlorn

Hmmm.. for me ESO seems like last game which can consistently keep Bethesda alive.. ok, maybe Doom too. Wolfenstein is good, but I heard sales were not so good. Others? They are all either niche or a mess.
So if ZOS is killing ESO, this is a harakiri. ES6 is a myth.

I hope so, I’ve been noticing that I can play quite comfortably during aus daytime but at night have to pick a different game. My guess is on overloaded servers so I dont see why it wouldnt benefit everyone, including ZoS to add another server. More customers means more monies

I'm rarely playing now due to the lag. Most weeknights I don't even log on. Weekends I tend to wait until all the Americans are asleep and then log on. I can get around 283ms which is the best I'll ever get on off peak times, but will always sit around 300-400 during peak times.

Oceanic always gets the short-end of the stick. While I sympathise with what EU are going through, it's become the norm for us in Oceanic, only we will forever be ignored because no one gives a flying **** for us.

There is an intellect radius of about 40 mins in any direction. After that, the RM Williams sticker will just grow on your back window.

Why would response time be any better than where you are now?

I had a glorious 2 months of 220-250. Since the latest patch I am lucky to get 350, normally hangs around the 380. But I did manage to get my vma clear done while it was good. That 150 less ms made so much difference.

I'll keep spending my money and playing gw2 until they do.... Its hard learning to play a mmo with below 200 ping... So so hard

EU servers are in Germany, as far as I know.

If you set your VPN to a Frankfurt server if there is one you can use, you will likely get the best ping possible.

Although for me, using a VPN does not change the ping to the EU server. It's always about 350-400ms, with and without.

WA here, only got NBN (40mbpsDL) yesty and the ping is lowered by... ehhh.... 10ish. I think I had slightly better ping when I was in QLD and had telstra cable (30mbps), might have to try vpn

Hey bro WA boy here as well but not with NBN. Can you tell me if pvp is possible with NBN?.

Right now its insanely laggy and alot of the time i have to guess where peoples true location might be for melee.

Sorry to say mate, ive got fttp get on average 100mb down and 50 mb up. And the ms sits around 400-500.. Its not our net (funny enough) its how zenimax handles the information from cleint to server... Eso is rubbish at it.. People only put up with it because of a 'name' really not alot to stick around for..
Its a dead community at our prime time on all platforms (compared to other mmos).
