So there is 70 pages. Can I just ask:
Looking for a heavy armor magplar
    Playstyle: openworld, solo/small group
Playstyle: Ranged damage dealer with decent spell dammage, good sustain and good defence.
    Campain: No-cp

    Thank you very much

Can't have all of that in no cp, especially if you're going for heavy armor. That's the whole point of no cp, and it's what makes it enjoyable imo.

Valkyn, shackle, wizard's is a good set up imo. No idea why you'd want to be ranged and use heavy armor though.

I made myself a magplar build recently and it works wonders in no cp. only losing fights when oponent is way better than me or i *** up tremendously. Its pretty much this: 5-1-1 light. Skoria, sloads, wizard’s riposte. Infused on big and impen small pieces. Arcane rings and neck, with 2x recovery and 1 spell dmg glyphs. Inferno staff front bar(2x bleed poison), sword and board(spell and wep dmg on sword and magicka on shield) back bar. I use both degeneration, vamp mist and psijic’s meditate. I have like 2k spell damage unbuffed and 1.5 recovery which feels more like 2k with rune focus, and can always LoS for few ticks of meditate. Tripots are amazing on argonian too. Dont use any wep abilities though, so missing on the 8% ST damage from staff. Tried replacing the templar ‘bubble’ with the staff knock, but it gives too much healing so i dont find it to be worth. Using trifood too, so in no cp still rocking 15k stam which allows me to block so many bursts. Spell damage mundus though, as i use that character in pve too so cha constantly swapping

P.S. for ults: soul assault front bar and vamp ult back bar

P.S. 2 i know its not heavy but i am pleasantly surprised how it doesnt feel squishy at all. Standing in rune focus blocking with the psijic passive can still negate almost any burst. And even when ganked the 29k hp(with our own scrolls and emp, like 25k by default in pvp) can allow me to survive burst openers from gankblades, recover and send them to the graveyard. Can always put 3x protective on rings and neck if you feel too squishy. I dont think i need to though

    For No-CP , I'd say something like:

Pirate Skeleton | Valkyn | Slimecraw
    Shackle
    Bright Throat

    Destro | SNB

    Double Bloody Mara
Couple Prismatic enchants on armour, maybe a stam enchant on your shield.
Jewellery enchants dependant on what you then need (Probably 2/3* recovery or cost reduction)

Vampire (Mists, if your team often disengages or moves) - Obviously not as important if you just stack on the second floor of towers and strafe left and right or whatever.

Use elemental weapon instead of sweeps or just spam reflective light and potl's for your team.

Admittedly, in heavy, you probably don't need Pirate Skelly, especially if you do go Vamp. But that's your call at that point, Valkyn is probably good for what you want - Or even Slimecraw for that flat 8%.

https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildData?id=97684 - What it ends up looking like, lots of prismatics on it and looking at it, you can probably run better food to go with it.

Thanks for the replies. I wanted heavy because I felt I was being melted too fast in light. Also was thinking ranged because jabs is so *** up right now. Jabs probably my favorite skill :)

Fixed an issue where spamming cast time or channeled abilities, such as Puncturing Strikes or Dark Flare, would cause a delay to occur between each cast of those abilities.

yeah, if someone can report back on sweeps/jabs that would be great...

I'd really like to go put together a "classic" brawler templar setup with Bright Throat, but the last few times I slotted Sweeps, it didn't stay long.

Can someone do a weird little check for me please?

On a target dummy, do 10 sweeps back to back and just make a note of the time?

On console I could only ever do 10 over 13s (No weaving, literally just sweeping) - Not sure if that included any out-of-combat time from leaving the dummy.

Wondering if it's quicker in general now / On PC / still the same.

    Agree!

Been a long time since templar was competitive and it still have downsides, but I will consider those drawbacks for the class.

    Jabs seem back to normal!

As for the heavy armor question. I tested 5h2l Shackle/bright-throat with x2 pirate skeleton in Sotha. Regen is sitting roughly around 2k but my crit and spell damage are pathetically low. Im not able to put out much damage on people, and I still die, just not as fast.
Is Shacklebreaker just a bad choice to go 5 light with? Would I be better off running a set like x5 light overwhelming paired with bright-throat?
Basically I'm looking to put a hurt on people but still have some survivability as a solo/small scale pvp'er.

Shackles fine in light, just run 2 protective jewelry, or 3. I'd personally drop pirate skeleton for blood spawn or skoria tho. Blood spawn is a great mix of sustain, mitigation, and offense/ defense through ultimate generation. Skoria is just awesome.

Learn to feel out the fight bc and block incoming combos and counter combos being set up, that's the biggest reason most struggle with light armor.

I run shackle, wizards and pirate in 5 light. it is tanky af and enough damage to kill others. I have 36k magicka, unbuffed 2.1k sp and 1.7k recovery. Sometimes i use overwhelming instead of wizards but i dont think it has an "overwhelming" difference in damage especially if you consider how much mitigation you lost by not using wizards.
With heavy armor though, i prefer overwhelming surge over any defensive set and i use solar barrage with it. Both 2 stacked have a nice pressure on enemy.

Edit: Oh btw, this is for CP enabled campaigns, sry I missed the part where u said "Sotha" But still, sets which offer those percentage besed mitigation are good in no CP, maybe even better.

I second this. That's been my build since Murkmire dropped (BTB/Shackle/Spawn) and it 's, IMHO the perfect balance even without protective (I run swift, it's better at keeping me alive).

That being said, mine is a BG focused build and you might find your mileage varies in open world/zerg situations. I might actually go against Brutus and say Skelly is your best bet vs Zerg if you have a way to avoid/escape. But one thing is for sure, go 5 light unless you want to hit like a wet noodle. Heavy is for CP campaigns.

They're should be 0 fail to fires and 0 lock outs. My night blade has never had surprise attack fail to fire. My warden's bird has never flown away. My dk hasnt ever had to wait to spit hot fire on a dre beat.

I ran a DF build the last couple days ( PC-EU, Axiom light, slime and deep throat ). Didn't really notice the bug, but it is suffering from the same old problems. Basically you can't land it on anyone paying attention and damage reduction by armour is too much even on targets who do not.
