Do you want higher uptime on major prophecy? (vamp's bane)
Or do you want to snare more people? (reflective)

Do you typically duel/1v1? (vamp's bane)
Or do you typically fight outnumbered? (reflective)

Lol, true. At leasts that warden shield merely absorbs it and doesn't reflect.

I've played with both, both are good. Since I usually play outnumbered, I am liking reflective better lately. I also ended up having to re-cast camp bane more often as the original targets died.

    It's a personal preference choice.

yea I usually play with reflective to be fair as I like to hit multiple targets and vamp bane is casted around every 6 seconds or so any ways

Or do you use fire staff or lighting staff? You know for aoe vs single target dmg boost..

I personally use reflective light. Longer duration of bane is wasted imo since i usually cast it every 5 secs or so and i spam it with light attacks when im at range.

No-CP or a heavy damage build - Reflective.

If you're putting out big damage or you're in no-CP, people drop like flies before it's ticked off. You don't really need the extended duration at this point, not to mention, the snare and 3-way spammable comes in handy for outnumbered situations which are common in bgs.

If you're tankier/more relaxed playstyle with weaker damage, go for Bane so you don't have to worry about it and can hopefully put out a little more sustained pressure on individual targets.

Lightning staff is why I use reflective but TBH I haven't made sure it helps. Weird that an AOE in RL gets reflected.

:o I just have realised CCs no longer stun if the enemy have total dark bubble on them. It acts like they have cc immunity eventhough the bubble is still active(no cc immunity). Is this a bug or new feature? Can anyone reproduce and confirm please?

Looks like they never intended eclipse to be cc'd while active. It definitely needs an extra effect and unstable core revised

But it wasn't like this for a long time already. It isnt even a cc. This new mechanic really sucks, because it effectively gives longer cc immunity if the target doesn't break free and plays defensive (total dark duration + cc immunity timer when it ends) :/

Reflective Light counts as both aoe and single target. Weird yes. The initial hit counts as aoe and is buffed by lighting staff meanwhile the dot component count as single target and buffed by flame staff.

I go back and forth on the ability. I kind of like it as a breather where the target still damages themselves and UC adds some damage even if broken, but another CC actually can allow me to land things that are otherwise difficult, like meteor, or crescent sweep. Eclipse does the opposite as they might stop and roll dodge to LOS or break free, in which case, they have the block button already pressed.

I don't know if it's just lag on console, but the only reason UC or TD can be effective on console is that when it's applied, you don't actually see it for a couple seconds - By which point you've weaved a couple things.

When it's not laggy it's clearly a waste of a slot and is dealt with very easily, at least in no-CP.

Unlikely I'd be using it anyway but I definitely won't be using it if it's granting cc immunity on cast.

The latest changes have made me question TD again. The fact that it doesn't actually CC AND you can't follow up with a CC like toppling PLUS doesn't do as much damage as the snipes, etc. that it works on, the number of circumstances when it is legit useful has dropped off.

If it isn't going to be a real CC, it should reflect the other players' damage and debuffs. Making a nightblade incap themselves would be useful.

Yeah, wahts more is if I use reach, I get a stun and a DOT. Even on lightning staff. Adds another ability to proc VS if I want to run it.

I am tempted to put javelin on my bar over eclipse now. But even weird enough, maybe I want an AOE cc from either a set or timestop.

I think I might want to go timestop...

Quick poll regarding sustain vs raw stats:

    -BTB/Shackle with Dubios Camoran Throne

    or

    -BTB/Amberplasm with Double Bloody Mara

I'm looking to get best bang for my buck, and have enough stamina to block and CC break (my current build I have to sacrifice too much damage for that). I'm trying to avoid using a recovery mundus. Any opinions?

Edit: Bonus option, BTB/Shackle with Jewels of Misrule. Cause my stats are phat.

If your stamina is above 14k, id go with the Mara option. More health/mag would be better. If you have dual staffs+ele drain, then restoring rune/stam cost/sustain poison can be used before using Camoran drink.

Shackle and Dubious? With Prismatic body pieces that's like 20k stam. Why do you need that much stamina?

you could stack full mag with 1 health at that point. More damage for essentially the same health/stam stats is I think the intent.

Since switching to spell crit pots (used to use tripot) I have a big problem with stam sustain that's why i am considering Amberplasm or some kind of alternative. And sacrificing damage isn't an option.

If that’s what you’re trying to solve, then maybe shackle/bright throat and witchmothers to keep max magicka from your drink but use the stam recovery morph of rune focus? You could also run Blood Spawn

It's beautiful, everything I expected and more. Runs magelight on both bars AND soul assault and it still takes him like 3 full minutes to seal the deal on a NB ganker with 14k HP.
