    First, thank you for providing an update to Steam customers. I appreciate regular updates even if you have little new information to share.

    Second, I would like to add my voice to the growing chorus of Steam players who would like to migrate their accounts from Steam to ZOS. If these login issues cannot be permanently fixed, I hope ZOS will offer this option to their customers.

    I don't care much about the compensation crown crate we'll receive, I'm more concerned about the five we won't get for not being able to complete the daily rewards if things keep going on like this :(
    Also, I had issues with my internet connection since last week, I finally got it fixed today and I came with the serious intention to play until my eyes would bleed, and then...failed login. I'm so disappointed.

    I just want to point out that it's not just for Steam. I can't log in with my character and I do not use Steam. I can see the character loading screen, but when I select which one to play I get kicked out to login screen again.

    ESO+ is part of the "Games as a service" trend. A trend that needs to die. Subscribe only when you need Crowns for DLC.
    Say no to "radiant" junk quests replacing proper side content and the dumbing down of our favorite franchises.

    So it looks like I'll miss out on doing my daily crafting writs for the first time in months, maybe a year. Plus my jewelry trait research should be completed, but I can't start research on the next trait. A crate will not fix that. Unless it's a crate full of surveys, master writs and research scrolls. I've submitted a ticket to unlink from Steam. Let's see how that goes.

    Similar situation for me, just convinced a friend to play the game and she has hardly been able to log in the past two days; don't think she's going to stay if this keeps up...

    You should have had her buy from the main . If anyone ever asks me about this game, I will surely direct them to the main site, and NOT go through Steam. I'll never buy another game with Steam. ZOS should have had somewhere in their contract with Steam, 'Connection/Login Reliability'. To me, this just seems like a faulty contract. ZOS can do better I think without Steam. Unlinking your Steam account just seems like a temporary bandaid for a much bigger problem here. Just saying.

    Yes, go and try... I tried. But there is no way to "contact our support team" as stated by the ZOS mod.
    Going for a ticket you have to chose platform. Here you go "steam". Then account and chose "Cant unlink my account" (only option near the problem) and then chose if your "linking" was withing 7 days. No matter what you chose, it stops there. Thats it. No further progress.
    So?

    Tried other plaftorm, other category, all options... Only place you can actually write something is in "feedback", which clearly is wrong. But I abused it anyway, coz at some point enough is enough... ZOS is pointing out a solution which doesnt even work....

    OK, I can confirm that if you go to the eso store and buy the base game for £7.50 you can be up and running with all intact.

    The executable is at:

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client\eso64.exe"

    just click on that and the game will launch (make a shortcut on your desktop)

    You will get a dialog box telling you to check your email for an access code - enter that and all is good.

    I just couldn't take the nonsense anymore and £7.50 seemed a price worth paying to be rid of it.

    Do you need to reinstall the game for that? Also, will it leave your characters, Summerset etc. in tact? :)

    ZoS only unlinks your account if you connected it up less then 7 days ago. Everyone else gets the message it can't be unlinked.

    Going into the support site via the link you posted you can chose under "account" "i can't unlink my account" from the dropdown menu. If you then select "no" to the question "Is this request within 7 days of linking?" you simply can't go any further; there are no more options to select.

    Only accounts that were linked in the last 7 days can get unlinked. The only other people who have been successful are the ones who rebought the game from ZoS which is quite frankly NOT an option I'm willing to take. I will NOT reward a company for their failure by rebuying their product.

    If there is any other way to get to their support and get your account unlinked we'd love to hear it. but so far to my knowledge there hasn't been a single post from a user who managed to unlink their account.

    hey @ZOS_GinaBruno any chance of getting my charges reversed for my new ZOS copy of the game since Steam refused my refund requests and the ZOS version is the only functional version I have as a way to "convert" from the Steam version even though I am starting over.......A single lame crate does not cut it for an account I WILL NEVER EVER USE AGAIN(already uninstalled the Steam version because of these issues that will most likely never be fixed permanently).

    I just dropped $100 for a second copy with ESO+ of the game I already purchased because the first one DOES NOT WORK......I have to start over because of this, It would at least be nice if I didn't have to pay again for the privilege.

    you dont need to reinstall anything - you just use the same eso64.exe in the steam folder. Absolutely everything is retained.

    I selected Steam - login issues (I can't login). Ticket was done today and hopefully will be solved in next few days....
