The executable is at:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client\eso64.exe"
just click on that and the game will launch (make a shortcut on your desktop)
You will get a dialog box telling you to check your email for an access code - enter that and all is good.
I just couldn't take the nonsense anymore and £7.50 seemed a price worth paying to be rid of it.
Do you need to reinstall the game for that? Also, will it leave your characters, Summerset etc. in tact?

I just dropped $100 for a second copy with ESO+ of the game I already purchased because the first one DOES NOT WORK......I have to start over because of this, It would at least be nice if I didn't have to pay again for the privilege.

Do we retain the DLCs and expansion bought through steam (say, summerset through steam) if we do this?

Before you spend your money now, consider just going to bed and trying tomorrow. Probably will work (for a couple of hours maybe...) and if not, still can throw your money out.

yes, all of it
and you can continue to launch via steam when its working if you want to - eg patching / PTS etc

You're a life saver! I can also confirm that this works... Okay, now I've paid twice for the game but now I can play without frustration.

you dont need to reinstall anything - you just use the same eso64.exe in the steam folder. Absolutely everything is retained.
sry for part double post

You're obviously not familiar with the bug forums... Should go take a look into that (might take some hours) before making such statements.

Agree 100%. I am sad that so many players did that.

and this:Still down? WOW! Of all the MMO's I have played this one has the most and longest down time for problems. Seriously, someone needs to make some decisions on how to fix this problem for good.

The daily rewards are good. Very nice.
But it seems a bit silly to have a daily reward sistem on a game that does not allow it's players to log in daily.
Just tried to log in again, nothing. How many hours are we on now? 12+? You know after the first or second time of this, I could see programmers working to find the problem and it taking a bit of time, but this has been atleast a handful times in the past month. We just had this happen yesterday. Your programmers should be very familiar with this problem already and know how to fix it more quickly, atleast temporarily until the main cause is found. This is ridiculous. Premium players are losing out on time/money spent on the game especially, along with everyone on Steam that has dropped 80+ dollars on the game. This is not a cheap game to play. I don't understand why your programmers aren't being more efficient. You have the money to hire good ones, surely.
