I agree about what @Vaoh wrote earlier. And it’s nothing against the class representatives and their choice of administrating the discords. But I do believe that ZOS should lay down a schematic with named channels that’s similar for all discords to ease up on the discussion and make it more stringent and easy to observe and oversee.

Can we get pinned threads to discuss each class individually? Or at least a pinned thread with links to class topics? I have some feedback in mind but would rather post it where it is most appropriate.

As we explained earlier in this thread, we are determining topics and formatting for forum feedback threads to have pinned this week. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and we’ve been busy managing the discords and forum messages and other forum threads.

Although I will add that discord’s formatting is way more conducive to these types of discussions, and nothing is stopping you from writing a forum post yourself and @ing a couple of us. We’ve been highly active on the forums since last week in addition to the discords.

The clutter is in general, off-topic, and meme channels. We keep the topic channels focused, and we record key pain points and suggestions for them in summary channels which only we can write in — which are then transferred over to topic channels in the class rep discord for further evaluation.

I guess I’m just used to administering large discords for this game’s community. I have no problem tracking all of the conversations and recording valuable information from them. Sorry if you find it overwhelming. Remember that we did announce we’re working on forum posts as well. They just take more work to set up because the forums have a much more limited interface and are outside of our direct control.

ZOS: Appoints community members who actually know and actively play the game, most since launch to read feedback and submit the constructive and not just the QQ.

Forums: Instantly QQ that ZOS doesn't care and is offloading to elitists that will bias the game.

like i said before their doing what blizzard did going off blind bs instead of taking the reigns and yanking them in the direction they need the pony to go. did they offload it on something thatll most likely bias the games builds and stuff oh heck yes they surely did because how are 13 guys gonna take and learn over a million different playstyles?? its impossible. so people do have the right to get pissed off but if you come from wow like i did you are gonna sit watch and see all the changes as soon as they drop get reverted shortly after once they realize hey we screwed up lets actually fix the game the way should have in the first place. their just screwing up for the i think billionth time so why were suprised that this is a thing is kindve baffling at this point. but just sticking my two cents in to whoever the hell is controling dks make them great on both fronts not just one(i kinda want a stam dk thats worth using in pve)

It wasn’t a cheat... it was an addon that interpreted the data being sent. ZOS has changed the data being sent twice now for balance reasons. The Addon has never gathered information it wasn’t supposed to have.

Telling people that it was cheating is a terrible thing to do because it spreads disinformation and incorrectly undermines the devs. Now you can certainly say that you disagreed with that fact that it was allowed to do what it did... and that you wish that they had modified the game sooner to not intentionally provide that information to addons.... but it was never considered cheating in any capacity, it was just a balance choice made by ZOS that they changed later on.

you need to look up what cheating means. a cheat is anything that gives you an unfair advantage which miats did for a very long time. thankfully they nuked it and made pvp actually somewhat playable with that.

Names can't be given on these boards. But, they did have "guests" that are of a dubious nature. One of which, once crashed to desktop revealing cheat engine running. Another has used every single exploit for years...

The point is... they brought "guests" on to eso live that are exploiters and they didn't know it.

I've been playing this game for over a year now...and as much as I am still inexperienced in many areas one thing I know.. there are no two gamers playing the same class the same way. So, 12 is not enough. Also, I learnt not to take this build or that build as a gospel...

There are probably some players who do not have the time to do this kind of thing while working full-time etc. I myself have to do it in the evenings for example.

I can tell you that the 12 people on that list are all experienced in different areas of the game and we cover all aspects that the game has to offer. More than 12 people would not lead to improvements because it would make coordination a lot more difficult.

From what I've seen most "veterans" who run these yotube/twitch/whatever channels forgot long time ago what it is like to be new to a game.

So, how do they represent players who are new and inexperienced or simply casual? My guts tell me they will represent themselves and people who frequent this forum.

I guess we'll wait and see.

Have you looked at one of my builds for example? They're targeted to enable an easy entrance to trial content... @Alcast also has detailed guides to let newcomers understand the builds...

I really believe this to be a good idea.

Just to complete the picture though, maybe you should allow one or more of the Class Representatives to also cover the community thoughts on future classes.

In a continually evolving game such as ESO I feel it will be natural to introduce new classes and therefore it is obvious (to me) this team should also concern themselves with this.

you should reconsider the decision that everybody represents everything. after more than one week the PvE mag sorc dd discord channels (pet and non-pet) didn't get any attention by class reps… this means not a single topic related comment, input or call back about community suggestions. tbh i didn't expect anything and i am still disappointed. even the meme channel sees more class rep activity.


the community made many good points about how sorcs could be again more fun to play and provided suggestions about dungeons and trials, especially pets are a hot topic. maybe it is true that class reps silently take notes and add them to their list, maybe. but in my opinion at the latest when people for example suggest pets getting the warden treatment and you only activate them once in 30, maybe 60, seconds the class reps should intervene and remind the community about class identity. without moderation we will have 1 class with 5 different names soon.

Me and @Hexys have compiled lots of feedback from both the forum threads and discords already. I read all of it and can summarise the major pain points very specifically, especially concerning pets, their interaction in pvp, trials and dungeons, the lack of a class spammable ability, sorcs' awful sustain compared to other classes, shield stacking in pvp, etc.

I spent at least three hours this weekend (in my free time) to summarise the sorc feedback and transfer it over to the form that I implemented. I am currently doing the same for other classes. If that's not enough for you, then I don't know what else you expect us to do
