I don't think it's a crafting motif but rather an outfit style, so it's not craftable anyway.

No, it's a proper motif. When you use it you get an in-game lore dump explaining how that particular piece works, just like all other motifs (and unlike outfit styles).

A Crown Store exclusive motif sold solely in pieces and solely in gambling crates?

The motif is missing from the section of the patch notes that include the new motifs and where to find them, so it's safe to assume it cannot be obtained in-game.

It is, by far, the absolute worst part of this game. If I ever find myself driven away from the game, it'll almost certainly be because I can't stand their practices any longer.

I'm in the same boat. On one hand, I really enjoy the added systems we get in the updates, as well as the gorgeous zones.

On the other hand, the increasing greed and blatant money grabs from the financing and marketing department will most likely make me drop the game on the floor eventually, once I get something better to fill my time with.

So, since there is crown store art of full motif can we hope that it will be sold similar to Stalhrim and Grim Harlequin? So 2k crowns for full and single pages in garbage boxes are just additional stuff? If they put entire motif style in garbage boxes on top of ripping it into pieces i'm done, not gonna preorder Summerset because that's the level of *** i can't stand even in today's gaming market

Yeeeaaah. I usually buy about 10 boxes per season (give or take a few, depending on if there’s anything I want to trade for gems). If crates are the ONLY way to get this motif, I’ll end up boycotting the next season of crates — even though the apex mounts look awesome this time around. It’s one thing putting an entire motif in crates, but INDIVIDUAL PAGES? Are you kidding me? Utterly shameful.

well they might be purchasable with crown gems…at a lower cost than the 200 for a full book

Unless it will cost 14 gems or less per page, it will still be "the new low".
Assuming its the 15 crown page it will fill that.

The idea of crown crate only motif styles pisses me off. :\ And what annoys me even more is that the style looks pretty awesome. :/

I got the chests. Maybe it's for testing purposes only, but they seem pretty common.
Frankly I don't see the issue of individual pages versus full motifs. It's much more likely that you'll get at least one page instead of the full book, so you won't have the feeling of spending tons of crowns for nothing.

The problem I have is making motifs Crown Crate exclusive in the first place, pages or no pages. Frostcaster, Grim Harlequin and the upcoming Tsaesci are bad enough. But it seems with the outfit system, all restrictions they set themselves are gone now.

The problem with individual pages is the dupes. For a "normal" style u need on average 40~60 drops to get every individual page atleast once. Even if there would be one page in every crowncrate, u assume to be lucky, u need to buy 50 crowncrates to complete the motif. Thats 20k crowns.
If there is more than one motif in them (taeseci has the same "seasonal purchase" tag iirr) and luck is not on your side (reference: the 3 great house motifs took me a total of 286 drops to complete) and there is not one page in every box, sht will hit the fan very fast.

Crownstore only motifs pissed me off already, cause for me the point is collecting and completing. Buying motifs is not fun. Buying useless trash when u want to have motifs just sucks.

If the crates is the only way to get all 14 chapters then that' *** on so many levels. 1 at a time just watering down the loot tables more and more.

Yep, on top of the already previously horrible drop rates for the "Radiant Apex"(just a more highly polished turd, not the mounts but the rarity) mounts.

They seem to really want to tempt somebody to sue them and have the courts declare the RNG of the crown crates to be illegal as people are paying real money for the crowns to then gamble them away.
There was already a recent legal ruling against a mobile casino game for the same issue, that their "tokens weren't real money" but the court found that they were and thus it was gambling. Source: Youtube channel The Know.

Yes, anything but the crown crates. We've got plenty of other worthwhile things dropping in the crates as well as the already, mostly unused by most people, worthless consumables also.

I really hope this is nothing you are going to plan @ZOS_GinaBruno Crown Store exclusive motifs... ok. but having Crown crates exclusive motif PAGES? This is one step to much.

If you are planning to really set this up like this, you either have to drop crown crate prices or sell the crown packages for way less money than you do now.
I am not willing to pay 200 Euro just to (maybe) get a Crafting Motif out of crates.

Doesn't matter as far as how it is being sent out.

Did they not learn their lesson with the glass motifs? Or the worm cult motifs? Or the Buoyant Armiger?
We hate all those RNG grinds!!
Now they want to add that to the already controversial Crown Crates??!!!

I have not seen one positive post about this. This is almost all negative with maybe one or two clueless neutral people we have to correct.

    Oh hell yeah!

That's the only thing keeping me here. I don't have anything yet obviously better.
Although, Skyrim VR just came out for PC and already has modding modded in, so I have that as an option as soon as I can get a VR rig up and running with a VR headset. I also have the other version of Skyrim if VR isn't good for me. Funny how a 7 year old, since release, game can still topple this game off my list.

The ESO management better be careful and pull back on the greed or it will be an easy decision.
I know exactly how much it will cost me to get a PC upgrade and VR headset and a wireless attachment for the VR headset(which I don't really need but added for emphasis) which keeps getting cheaper all together. If that ends up less than I spend on this game over a set period, even more so if I find a comparable or better other game, then I will ditch this game in a heartbeat.

I find putting motif pages exclusively in Crates is atrocious. Dare I be dramatic? Then I'll call it insulting.

You can also be damn sure these things will be account bound. No selling or trading duplicates. Perhaps people can confirm that already?

I do sincerely hope this is only some kind of PTS testing.

    Think of it this way....

You want one of those Apex, or Radiant Apex, mounts, or anything else specific, and the crates only drop 4, maybe 5 at random, items in each crate. They also have the standard more common "consumable junk".

Will your chances be better with 1 item added to the possible 60+ that drops or with 14? Is a 1/60 chance better than 1/74?
    That speaks for itself.
This just makes rare items even more rare while we're given more relative junk. (I don't like most of that Maormer motif so it's junk to me.)

To be completely honest the system probably first does a roll to determine the quality of the item you get. So these added at lower quality wouldn't influence the apex "success" rate at all. Still doesn't make it acceptable, though.
