Pyandonean (Maormer) Motif!

Until that I was okey with Crates, cause you know don't like it don't buy it. I'm against buying Crates cause it is dangerous (only bought 2 cause got close with free ones and gems to buy something I like), but my spouse likes them, but with that I will ask her not to support it.

If it will be shown as a not collected one in the Outfit Station as the crown only whole books, then for me this will be a huge let down, and I would not recommend ESO to any new gamers I will meet, cause who nows what comes next.

Please ZOS abort this make it a 2-5k Crown book or/and better a super rare drop from something. Also an alert that it can backfire moreways then just some disappointed forum post.

To be completely honest the system probably first does a roll to determine the quality of the item you get. So these added at lower quality wouldn't influence the apex "success" rate at all. Still doesn't make it acceptable, though.

I hope that's how the crates behave, but I doubt it. I haven't got much faith in their RNG code in other sections of the game already.

Either way, motif pages are all on the same tier so the only way they would be possibly not horrible is if they were on the consumable tier, of which I already hate the other items and would make these motifs drop more often(but only if no duplicates also).
Still sucks like a plugged vacuum, horribly.

See, if players in this game had capacity for critical thought and a spine to follow through on it, this problem would self-resolve. They would release this, and for the next 6 months or however long it takes see store sales suddenly drop to exactly $0.00, after which they would say "Yep, guess we flew too close to the sun." and change their practices to be a little less skeevy. What IS going to happen, however, is that the vocal minority (us) will whine and moan for a while, and then when the patch hits many players (including quite a few of us) will head over the the crown store and pay. And pay, and pay, and pay. And all this will show up on their profit reports, and their marketing department will call it, verifiably and quite correctly, a huge success. And then it'll be the new normal. And this is entirely, 100% players' fault. If you want it to stop, you just have to stop playing the crate game. Enjoy the actual game, not the virtual casino.

You couldn't see the Morrowind PTS Content either without logging in. I do not think this is the reason, but I do think, they should not sell single motif pages in crown crates. @ZOS_GinaBruno can any official please respond to this?

Morrowind was a separated forum with an actual closed beta for a while as far as I remember. This is the regular public PTS forum.

But yeah, dealing with it this way would be bad and ineffective. Just don't have the items drop in advance.

To be honest, I don't "hate" those crates in general. I buy roundabout 10 of any season by myself if they have nice clothing or mounts in it. But getting single pages of a motif is something which is making me angry. Especially I am a person who likes to have a complete collection of recipes and motifs. But not willing to pay half of my monthly wage for it. and then maybe I do not even get what I wanted... I don't have any words for the expression I have on this. It's making me sad and angry.

Anyone who got a page, can you actually get gems from it? If so, that would allow us to determine the most likely tier/cost associated with them.

If I remember correctly, the page that I got on PTS was glowing blue, so I would think that the singular pages are on blue rarity so the gem price would be the same as the other blues.

I think its the worst thing they ever could have done. putting single pages in a crown crate from a craftable motif. Even worse is, that the Tsaesci Style has the same tooltip. "seasonal purchase" means obviously season crates. and not festival motif.

This is what greed does. Never content to just make acceptable money, it's always "what else can we milk from this" mentality.

I grew up on comic books and saw the same in that industry. They constantly rolled out variant covers, special covers, off shoot series, new #1 relaunched, etc. etc. to try and milk the whales for more and more. As they did, more and more people just dropped comics all together instead of try and keep up with all the BS, which means they had to milk those whales even more and the circle kept going until there wasn't enough people buying books period to keep the industry up and it almost completely collapsed.

The advantage ZoS has is that people just view this as "this game" or "this company" and they only have to milk the whales for a few years, then they can all move on to the next game and everyone becomes able to get burned again easier.

Personally, I buy the large pack of crates each season and I already feel like that is too much. This may be enough to push me to the point of why bother and drop them all together. I didn't work my butt off to collect every motif in the game to have them make me gamble for one of them or end up with one or two pages and an incomplete book. Rather not have it at all. Really puts a bad taste in my mouth and makes me dislike the entire game more than just the crates.

They come from a blue quality card so they should be fairly cheap to get with gems. Not that it makes them adding these to crates any better.

You are confusing books with pages. What people and me got from the crown crates are just a random page of the whole motif style (which is represented by a golden motif book).

I agree, I posted something similar several months ago and suggested that we the players not play into their hand and stop buying. If their method is to lock everything behind the Crown $tore let it rot there, I got mixed results, but the general conscious was, don't like it don't buy, which is what I do, exactly zero crates purchased, I even refuse to buy crowns, I spend the ones I get via ESO+ and that's it. To hell with their exclusive everything in the Crown $tore and $150 houses, and $30 outfit tokens, and $5-1000 crates.

.... which has a chance to drop when you refine 10 crown gems, which you get from crates, which you get from crowns, which you get with money. lolol

i have never actually bought crown crates, only opened the free ones so far. (i have never received a mount btw). I am not too disappointed with this change, as long as it is the only one that drops from the crates. In essence reward people that open crates to get something unique. Same way you can get a motif from every other avenue of play in the game. Yes it sucks that you have to fight the rng, but over the course of a few seasons of crates it would be possible to collect them. However having a new crate motif every season would be a little nonsensical.
