THAT doesn't bother me as much. At least we know what the expansion chapter costs up front and can make an informed decision on whether or not we think it's worth it. But if it's only going to drop as often as Perfect Roe or the Aetherial Cipher stuff... well we all know these items were put in ONLY so they could say they were available in game so you would not be forced to purchase them from the cash shop. But we also know the problem there is that they made the drops so rare that they may as well be non-existent... and so players are STILL pushed to the cash shop for them. This is deceptive and unethical. I will be very disappointed if I discover that this show of "listening to the will of the people" is just yet another entry in their history of pulling the wool over the peoples' eyes.

Surprise me ZOS. Impress me even. Publish the drop rates of these pages that can be gotten as drops via fishing in Summerset.

Thank you, that is truly appreciated. I know it will be hard grind but plus point for the clever implement. For me its not only that there will be an ingame option, but also that there won't be a force timer (3 month and RNG horror) which would discourage me totally.
Also if this will be implemented well, it will encourage me to buy (sorry not crown crate) crown store things, because I will be more satisfied with the game experience.

What kinds of drop rates? Because if they drop as rarely as, say, Aetheric Ciphers, then this would merely be a token gesture that changes nothing.

If the drop rate is reasonable (i.e., someone who does Master Angler from start to finish can be expected to complete it), then this would be an awesome change.

EXACTLY THIS. If it's up there with the Ciphers or even Perfect Roe then this is nothing more than an effort to shut up the critics. Unless they are willing to publish drop rates I'm still VERY skeptical.

The Roe drop-rate is manageable though, since it seems to be hovering around 1% (incidentally, rule of thumb for gold mats used to be 1 temper per 100 raw mats as well). Given CWC fishing achievement took me 1600 casts (admittedly I feel I was unlucky), this motif should be achievable within that timeframe (depending if there are issues with duplicates, if they're BOP (sell/trade dupes?), etc).

Ciphers though... I swear they dont' exist.

I got an Aetherial Dust, ONCE! I happened to get it off a Nirnroot in the Hollow City in Coldharbour, but I have never seen hide nor hair of an Aetheric Cipher.
I thought these things were supposed to be craftable consumables, so you need a lot of them.

They need to fix that also. I am never going to spend my real life money on a consumable unless that consumable is cheap as hell.
Example: I may spend $1 for 48hrs of double xp, that's 200% for 1/15th of the monthly sub for 1/15th of that sub time. Anything more is ridiculous when we're paying for time, as far as I'm concerned.

Thank you for listening to our feedback on this. Pretty cool idea adding Sea Elf motif to fishing - it fits. Also gives me a reason to fish more and even if I put it off, I have a couple friends that fish a lot and this will give them ways to make money with it outside of just getting Roe. Also keeps it rare enough that people will still be happy to get some in crates.

Seriously, I know you get feedback from all angles on all subjects, but some issues should get tackled like this, so thank you.

The style itself is irrelevant. It's a cool style, sure, but that's not the point. The point is that it was going to be available exclusively through crown crates.

But now it's also available through fishing, so problem solved I guess.

Whilst I agree with people ZOS can go and screw us on the drop rate if they really want I think the point that it's attainable via the game and not just a limited time crate series is important.

Yes it's still easier to buy them via the crates (as is the case with a lot of rare motifs) however it means a year from now, two years from now when the Psijic crates are long gone we still have access to that motif via gameplay and purchase from other players.

Thank you very much That's what real choice looks like! I absolutely do not mind when items that are available in game are also available in crown store.

I agree.... but I DO object when items are "available" in the game but are deliberately set to be SO scarce that it's pointless to even try to get them so that players are forced into the cash shop if they really want them. This has really got to stop. It's unethical.

Perfect roe is an decent drop rate for motifs, for perfect roe itselv drop rate is a bit low since its an consumable.
And for some reason the sell dirt cheap motifs like celestial in crown store to.

i'm not sure if this has been addressed, but if someone is dumb enough to purchase a gambling create, and let's say get 10 helmets, will they be able to see or trade them?

Most likely not, as otherwise you could basically buy in-game gold with real money, even at a rather horrible conversion rate.
