It our feedback regarding crates was truly heard, we'd see less crate exclusive stuff rather than more. We get pushed towards the crates (and the crown store in general) with every update. This has, quite frankly, to stop.

Personally with my budget I simply cannot afford these things, I started saving two months back for the next chapter, it’s just to expensive to even consider the crates. I’m quite glad now tha I culled my charecters down to two, keeps a lid on these kind of dirty marketing tactics, put it in the store and I will happily save up for a while until I can buy it but these rng gamble boxes are way beyond my budget and the same I fear is increasingly true for others. Here in the uk it’s becoming clear that wages are so low that most of the current young generation will never afford their own homes, where in these cash strapped times do you expect customers to get the money? Sure some fat cats have all the money in the world to gamble away on stuff they will never own anyway but most of us don’t. Do you not monitor the hostility in zone chat to players using the mounts you can’t get with gems? Surely you monitor these things?

And to those few, those lucky few with the endless resources to shovel into this hole remember your paying for use not ownership, regardless of how you cut it you will never own these things...

If it is like prior crown store exclusives, it requires crown style gems... which you don't get with the pages, just potential for getting from the crates.

Soooooooo... are you expecting people to buy tons of crates to get the pages and then buy the style gems on top of it?

I can't shake my head at this enough without getting whiplash.

Seventy percent of sales through apps are from less than one percent of customers, as long as the greedy minority are willing to feed the machine and ruin thing for the rest of us nothing will change

This is the worst thing I've heard since gambling boxes were first introduced. The focus on gambling boxes is frustrating, disheartening, and lowers my faith in ZOS' ability to provide quality products like a normal, ethical company.

First: Thank you for answering.
Second: I understand the way you wanna make crown crates blue items more worthy. But people want silly masks and costumes instead of buff-food which is useless in game.
Third: Adding the whole motif as a chance to drop like the blue items would have been fine. But not single pages.
Fourth: How much will the full book, so not the single page cost in crown gems?
Fifth: Is the Tseasci Stylebook obtained in the same way?

Zos you should try and to LISTEN to us. We don’t want this there is no “Excitement” in crown crate randomness. Its a gross feeling just spending the money on them, i get its not p2p so you can do whatever to it but i think the whoke book should be in there only. NOT the singular pages, which youll get 12 of the same one and not able to convert it to enough gems to get a diff page...

That's nothing new and nothing introduced out of generosity. It's established standard for the lower tiers of rewards since the crown crates were introduced.

I'm not overly excited about these being blue tier. I was kind of hoping they'd actually be replacing the random, garbage, consumables, we were getting from the two bottom tiers. Which would make those cards at least somewhat interesting, instead of just looking at them as 1 or 2 gems.

I think the feedback zos should get from this and numerous other threads is to remove the motif pages from the crates and either add them to the game or the crown store, purchasable with crowns not gems.

Anybody else hear about that woman from Minnesota who killed her husband for money to go to a casino in Iowa and gamble most of it away and then went down to Florida and killed a woman there to steal her identity and use her money and car and was just caught yesterday or the day before in Texas as she was headed to Mexico?

Personally with my budget I simply cannot afford these things, I started saving two months back for the next chapter, it’s just to expensive to even consider the crates. I’m quite glad now tha I culled my charecters down to two, keeps a lid on these kind of dirty marketing tactics

BUT You want to have your opinion accepted as well, so you should accept others to. doesn't mean you have to agree with others opinions. Yes gambling addiction is an issue. And again on my personal opinion, you attacked someone personally and I still think this isn't ok either.

What was I supposed to do? Am I supposed to listen to him and stop voicing my opinion or call him out as "the pot calling the kettle black" as I expect anybody who is not a doormat to do when it is necessary to do so? I chose the latter.

Let me repeat once again, what has been said by numerous players over the last 4 years:
The random loot distribution in eso is really bad.

Me tryharding to grind out the house motifs. Naturally, Hlaalu Axes was the last motif i got.
Achievments stop at 1000, so i did pickpocket more than 6965 times and follow up stabbed ~3500 NPCs for that.

I got similar or worse numbers for trying to get other items.

Its fetching offensive, for u to believe i'm stupid enough to pay real money for a box of your RNG.

If u want the "Crown Crate Experience" to be more rewarding and exciting, reduce their price by x10 for starters. Most of the Crown Store items r overpriced as is. In the crates, factoring in the dropchances, u get the same items but u pay 10 times more than if you would purchase them directly and most of it r items noone _wants_ to purchase directly.

Also as i said in my other post: Buying an item in any kind of shop (guildstore, NPC, cash shop) does not come with a sense of acomplishment nor feels rewarding.

U dont allow kids in here (pegi) and also, 6 yearolds usually dont own credit cards. Ppl who own credit cards, tend to know that blind package deals r daylight scam.
Would u call again on a pizza service, that brings u a mystery box, that contains a bag of dogpoop 9 out of 10 times and maybe u get a random food? Oh! theres a 0,1% chance u get lobster!

Getting things despite clusterfck rng chances in game is okay. Master Angler reads "i spit rng in the face 208 times". it comes with some accomplishment, even tho u know that rng decides how hard the individual has to "work" for it.

Please stop pretending its there to add exictement and fun, when its just trying to scam batsht stupid ppl for money.

Agreed. Whilst a healthy debate on the subject is nice the main thing we should be continuing to show is our dislike for these changes.

However I think the official statement is clear that once again when it comes to the Crown Store feedback really doesn't matter.

ZoS I think you simply lost the vision for the game's future. How should this all end up if the most shiny rewards in the game are only obtainable due to outright purchase or shady crown crate gambling? As others have pointed out, there are no mounts or interesting furniture as reward for hard earned achievements or lengthy quest chains. When I log in game, nearly everyone is sitting on his purchased mount.

Those who are responsible for this development, and likely never ever played a table top game with their friends, should know that the main reason I play this game is because I like to jump into a fictional world having a very specific picture of my character in my mind, and in where accomplishments count. An essential part to role play is to show these accomplishments to other players, but not only that: In the end it is how well everything looks and fits to the role of the character I have in mind.

The issue with the crown shop together with the crates is, besides of the gambling aspect of the crates, that there are now simply too many shiny items flooding the game every few months for too less new in-game rewards. This effectively is turning the actual game into an entertainment setting for an online shop.

Work for game development is distracted for the next season of crown crates while people are complaining about the size of the next chapter. We have raised our concerns before introduction of the crates that this will go out of hands. Yet our feedback was ignored. Now look what this ignorance have brought you: You have never ending discussions in your forum and elsewhere of people complaining about it. You might have earned money with it, but did you earned new customers? Is this what your marketing section wants? To have your game's reputation as being an expensive online role play shop with purchasable chapters and gambling crown crates on top of ESO+?

It really starts to go out of hands.

Just stop it.
