So hyped about any Summerset Isle content.

Spellcrafting would be a dream come true, Ive been waiting to get my hand on it ever since I saw the Quakecon video back in 2014. Jewelry crafting sounds great, especially for stam builds. For magicka dps sets there are basically two sets (Julianos and Mechanical Acuity) that wont work well together.

The whole Summerset Isle/Psijic Order theme screams magicka oriented content so Im very curious about the new dropped adn craftable sets.

Psjijic Order guild skill line (according to the icons) sounds good but I hope its a proper skill line with ultimate, active and passive abilities. Not just some passives that are useless in combat. I was very disappointed by the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood "skill lines".

I think there will be a new trail as well, probably something with a great Sload king or something.

    I'd say something similar.

We already got our dungeon DLC this year so we won't get another one I think. That brings it down to:

Q2: Chapter II "Summerset" with either Spellcrafting or a Psyjik skill line or Jewelry Crafting and most likely a new trial

Q3: This years "Homestead" - about contents... well, I'd say it will be either Spellcrafting or Jewelry Crafting (or it will be Spellcrafting / Psyjik with Artaeum as their base like Eyevea - will have a big gameplay feature but no real content

Q4: Spiral Kein as a small new map with a new trial (this will be this years Clockwork City)

I really hope that Mephala's realm is not as small as clockwork city,

She is a Daedric Prince, her zone should be roughly the size of coldharbour. My OCD will light itself on fire if is a small zone. lol

I just hope they don't screw over solo players with jewelry crafting like they did with trait changing... forcing solo players to run content they don't want to run if they want to change traits.

You know you're playing an MMO right? I suppose you could always solo the easy normal dungeons to get the crystals if you don't want to do the MMO part of the RPG.

Unless you are talking about something else ?

It's not going to be the full realm. You'll just visit a tiny, instanced part of it for a quest.

Nope, blade of woe is the best ability in the game for me. Have no problem with the DB skills being passives only.

So nobody else can have skills? It's not like you would have to use them. We are talking about adding, not removing...

I love the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild DLC. The only thing that disappointed me was the lack of skills/passives that are useful out of the category. That said The Dark Brotherhood passive 'Shadow Rider' is awesome!

So yeah I also hope that if they add skill-lines they will have proper skills and passives.

I wouldn't look for this to be a DLC if it is larger area than Morrowind, it will be the next expansion. Get ready to break out the cash because points won't get this one.

Morrowind came out in June 2017 with private beta starting in April, my guess would be around this time again.

Edit: By the way, looking forward to it if this is the next one :)

they have data that shows artaeum in the aurbis. i think it will be like evergloam. places in the patch u can go to but not the actual zone. like clockwork does.

What is a gameplay mechanics dlc? Homestead was a free game update. It was not even market as a dlc, the same way as One Tamriel. Zos does not even called these dlcs. Last year they even stated that they are free game update, a chapter and two dlcs. So this year they said they will have three dlcs and a chapter. So it is either a one dungeon dlc, a chapter, and two small zone dlcs, or two dungeon dlc, a chapter, and one Zone dlc. This former is possible because they have done it before.

Imperial City was zone/ dungeon dlc, Orsinium dlc is similar to a chapter, Thieves guild and Dark Brotherhood dlcs we're both introduce skill lines and we're small zone dlcs. These were all in a row, so it is possible to have three zone dlc this year.

They changed their plans and have laid out a schedule they want to follow every year, starting last year with the release of the first Chapter. Unless they are going to change their made plan we won't see three new questing zones this year.

Homestead was the gameplay mechanics "DLC" (I call it DLC because every new update is now marketed as DLC even with the mandatory base game update although Homestead wasn't branded as one so granted), Morrowind the Chapter, Horns of the Reach the dungeon DLC and Clockwork city the zone+trial DLC.

We already got 2018's Horns of the Reach with Dragon Bones. Chapter II will be Summerset, Spiral Skein most likely the Clockwork City DLC. So there's only one DLC left that might give us some new gameplay mechanic(s): Jewelry Crafting, Spellcrafting or Psijic).

    1. dungeon
    2. Summerset main island Alinor
    3. jewlerycrafting basegame update
    4. Artaeum Psiijic skill line minizone in the aurbis

@TheNuminous1 tbh I think we will get a spiral skein zone this year as well, we have way more datamines for spiral skein zone than we have jewellerycrafting

summerset > artaeum > spiral skein is my theory

Don't really think we'll get 3 zones this year. Their plan is one Chapter, one dungeon DLC, one gameplay mechanics DLC and a new zone DLC.

So there's only one DLC left that might give us some new gameplay mechanic(s): Jewelry Crafting, Spellcrafting or Psijic).

again why are people thinking spiral skein will be a zone dlc. we havent seen any indication of that. no new daedric zones have been added since launch. so no president of it. and they have datamined that artaeum will be in the aurbis. which makes it more likly it will be its own zone.

Mephala's Realm was announced three years ago as an "upcoming" zone. Okay, Murkmire as well but the data mined story for Summerset points towards Spiral Skein afaik.

Q4 will be Artaeum most likely, not Spiral Skein. Artaeum will be the Clockwork City to Summerset Chapter.

Why though? I mean what's there to be the Clockwork DLC?

Actually they did change their plan from last year, they said for this year they will have three dlc and a chapter. Last year we had free game update, a chapter and two dlcs(One small zone dlc and a dungeon dlc). We have been getting dungeon dlcs in the third quarter for three years.
    2015 Imperial City
    2016 Shadows of the Hist
    2017 Horns of the Reach

Dragon Bones dlc is the first time we have gotten dlc that has dungeons in quarter 1. I went back and read Matt Frior's letter back in December and he said to expect more dungeon content in the future including two in 2018. So the traditional set of dlc is different. So the best guess is:
    Q1 Dragon Bones
    Q2 Summerset chapter
Q3 Another dlc that has dungeons in it
    Q4 Story Zone dlc
The reason I am not going to denied the three Zone dlcs is because we have gotten a zone dlc that had two group dungeons in it (Imperial City), Zone dlc with big trial(Thieves Guild), Zone dlc with a mini trial ( clockwork city), and a zone dlc that had no end game pve( Dark Brotherhood). So there is a chance to have a zone dlc with group dungeons in it or just another dungeon base dlc since they have said we're getting two dungeon content this year.

    From the welcome 2017 article
    A new content Cadence

Because we will be regularly introducing Chapters to ESO, we are going to make a small revision to our content delivery cadence, starting this year. We will continue to ship quarterly updates to the game – each with a base patch that has all the balance, quality of life, and bug fixes that you have come to expect. Additionally, we'll have a DLC in the first quarter of each year, a Chapter in the second quarter, a dungeon-based DLC in the third quarter, and a DLC in the 4th quarter.

Nope, blade of woe is the best ability in the game for me. Have no problem with the DB skills being passives only.

With something like the psijiic order I only hope it's not limited to usefulness in casual content.Being useful there is perfectly fine, but as was with the db skill line there was nothing you could use.Would have been interesting if you ask me

damn, if we really get jewelry crafting for all existing crafted sets, then finally 5 5 2 with crafted sets, that is going to bring some pretty big changes to BIS builds I think!

not thinking that's going to change my nb build much.just going to make it easier to put gold jewels in the slot.

Well to be honest I use the Theives guild and Dark Brotherhood passive skill line more than most skill lines. So no the skill lines are not useless. Active skills does not really make them useful, it just means a big chance that the skills will not be used on my bar since there not enough space as it is.

That's what I said (or meant)?

Their new plan started last year with Morrowind. With Dragon Bones it seems like they already delivered the dungeons DLC.

That statement is misleading. Is he talking about two dungeon DLCs 2018 or is he talking about two new dungeons in 2018 (which we already got with Dragon Bones)? Both is possible!

And tbh I hope your "optimism" becomes reality, I'd love to have 3 proper DLCs with dungeons / zones this year!

Just to mess with all these lovely Altmer ideas
Maybe jewellery crafting/upgrading comes with Chapter 2 and we get Murkmire as a base game update???

Man, a surprise Murkmire would be flat out amazing. A massive new zone in Black Marsh as a complete surprise? ....Will never happen. But that would be so awesome.
