[Data Mining] ESO Update 17 Part 3 - Psijic Order Skill Line, Artaeum, Jewellery Crafting, and More

Hello everyone,

We at UESP have been busy datamining and compiling info for some very anticipated systems/places/people that we will be seeing in the Summerset Chapter and any subsequent DLC's. Our last post was received well by the community, so we're happy to present the biggest (and juciest) part of our datamining series, Part 3 - Artaeum, Spiral Skein, Psijic Order, Jewellery Crafting and More!

This article contains more information about Summerset Isle itself, including confirmed locations (and a map of every town/city appearing in the chapter), Jewellery crafting, Mephala's Realm, Artaeum Zone, Darien returning, Psijic Order skill line/class and potentially joinable guild which you will likely be seeing in the upcoming Summerset Chapter and subsequent DLCs. This post is part three (and possibly final) of the update 17 series (we will likely do more for other updates), and we've made sure to pack it full of datamining and lorebits on the topics mentioned.

Awesome work, as always.

But as others have said, if there's a reputation system for the Psijic skill line, it's most likely not tied to a new class. I wonder how you gain reputation with them, though, and why they decided to add a new active skill line like this.

apologies if the post was misleading in that regard, we meant to imply that there is separate evidence for both a psijic class and the psijic skill line, we don't think that the existence of a guild reputation icon is proof of the psijic class. (in fact a psijic skill line is much more likely, but we included the psijic class stuff just in case)

I'd be thrilled by a psijic skill line and jewelry crafting.

I hope the psijic line is a skill and not a class, although if it's a class, I suppose I can delete one of my two templars to make a new character.

The background story for one of my Altmers is that he's from Artaeum, so it would be neat to have that actually in my game. (I'm not a role player, but I do like to make background stories for my peeps.)

Chapter II will be so epic! I still hope we'll see Spellcrafting as the major feature, maybe related to the introduction of the Psijic Order (as a guild)?

There are animations for Gryphons! Also an Ettin. I wonder what an Elder scrolls Gryphon and Ettin will look like. There also a beast called Indrik which is an enemy and will also be a mount. Oh I hope this will be in the chapter. This sounds so exciting.

So between all of these three blogs, you're telling me:

-We'll finally get to see Sload in-game again since Redguard
-We're finally going to the rest of the Summerset Isles
-We're going to Mephalas realm in full, and some of other Daedric realms
-We're going to Artaeum
-We get a new Psijiic Order skill line/faction and potentially class
-We finally (maybe) be getting Spellcrafting
-We're finally getting Jewelycrafting
-Darien's coming back

If a Psijic class becomes a reality, I see myself recreating one of my characters, for RP purpose. I hope that, if true, this class isn't a master-of-none like the Warden.

Omg Darien? I’m possibly more hyped about him than about jewellery crafting. Oh boy, Summerset does look nice.

I wondered how they were gonna call this a chapter if they don’t introduce something as big as a new class with it, would be cool to have a Psijic class (also necromancer, with sloads and all), but I’d really need a free char slot this time

This is the first post about jewelry crafting in chapter 2, it has been lots of talk about spell crafting however.
jewelry crafting, for making but not improving jewelry, same way enchanting works would not affect balance very much outside of lifting the floor.
Yes you can run two crafted sets but don't know any combinations here who would be OP.
Now you could run one trial set like moondancer with julianos jewelry all golden out without having to do vMoL.

In case it's a real question... You run into Darien in the DC quests when you have to deal with the undead werewolf.

The art assets aren't telling us where they will be used in the game, and the name of the locations also don't really say anything about if it's a trial or a bigger cave for the main questline...

Dark times for golden Summerset. Is asking for a bonus quest for non-Altmer involving the concept of personal hygiene untoward?

Also, please offer an alternative questline for Altmer chars in which npcs act with much pomp and circumstance. It is the homeland of the high elves. ZOS, you need to go that extra mile. This is your chance for glory.
