Well I just tried logging back into the NA server after getting some rest from last nights debacle and sure enough, can't get back in again. I can't even login to the PTS today.

Has anyone tried setting up a VPN with a European IP address to see if this helps them get in?

@ZOS_GinaBruno is there any way Steam users can be given a one time amnesty and have there account information changed to a standard ESO account so that we don't have to deal with this should it occur again in the future?

Agreed, like when steam gets DDOS'd... need to unlink steam or have a second account. it's 2018 after all....

Okay for everyone using Steam to try and log in, close out the "steam version" of ESO, and create a desktop icon. Use that to launch ESO with steam closed, and use your ESO account log in info. This will get you in without fail. At least it worked for me and I tested it five times in a row.

Only if you bought the game then linked it through steam...if you just bought steam version it won't work

Still no access.

There should be option to use the second account login information created when you initially signed up. Autologin through Steam is great (when it works), but you should still be able to access the account via the credentials you made.

After all, the purchase has obviously already been confirmed, and it's not like it doesn't use ESO's servers to ultimately do the authentication anyway, just through Steam's middle-man client.

The account's already been made, the credentials already created. There is no justifiable reason you shouldn't be able to access via any functional client, regardless of where the initial download came from.

Tried everything to log in on NA. I was able to last night, Got up and tried, Internal error. Sometimes I can't stand steam.

I am still having this problem using steam. I have repaired game files, tried all steps on the help.elderscrollsonline.com.
I cannot login using the launcher.

If i launch the .exe file I can login, but the game does not recognize my ESO Plus membership when I login this way

It would seem the devs don't care to inform the masses, either. The banner is incorrect. Please update those of us WHO HAVE BEEN LOYAL TO THIS GAME AND SPEND THEIR MONEY ON THE GAME. lol

Another Steam NA server user here who can't log on. Have tried all the troubleshooting steps. I can't log into the help site either, it just says 'login failed'.

Yesterday, I was playing normally when the issue happened around my 8pm (I'm on -5 UTC), at a moment when I went away and get back finding me discconected. I tried to access later by the EU server and did get to char creation screen. Yet, still no access to US server.
This morning, trying to access, now even the EU server doesn't allow me to enter, which is fun, because you are saying that the issue was "fixed".
And yes, I did restart the game, the loader, the computer, repair the game, yada yada, etc etc.

Allow people to unlink the accounts from Steam, that should HARD fix the issue.

In the meantime, how are you going to compensate for these so far two days without access to all us ESO+ players?

Can confirm the same error happening for Steam PC NA server. Seems to be fine logging in on the EU server.

Trying to log in directly through the launcher (not the steam one) disables ESO+

I've basically been having this issue since Update 17, though I was able to log in through the launcher directly instead of through steam at the cost of losing ESO+ (the days I have stored outside of steam aren't activating either).

This also has an effect on things like research, causing a ripple effect that effects a lot of other parts of the game.

Error is not resolved, I can not log into NA Server still.

I was able to get on last night, about an hour after they posted it as "resolved", and I believed it was now truly resolved. This morning I am getting the same error messages yet the forum page still says it is resolved.

ZOS can you confirm for us that you guys are still looking into this, or are we just pissing in the wind here.

MAYBE this time the fact that you can log in to EU but not NA will be a helpful detail in figuring out why NA users can't log in...
