Internal Error

It's about 6PM EST and I'm getting nothing but "Internal Errors" when I try to play. Anyone else having these issues? Have to say, I hate patch/update weeks.

I played the game for about 90 minutes this morning and did not have these issues. I was logging alts and doing crafting writs so lots of chances for the game to freak out.

So, have you tried to log in with No Addons? Or Updated your Addons?

I just finished updating all my addons and removed out-of-date addons. I got in once, logged out to update addons, and now I can't get back in without an "internal error" occurring.

Yup, I played the game all afternoon, but right now I have the exact same issue when trying to LOGIN at start screen

Same. Can't login to any megaservers (inc. PTS)

Me too. Hope it will be fixed soon. Once I received a message about something wrong with Steam. But only once, then just Internal Error.

looks like some problems with Steam %/
try run ..Steam\steamapps\common\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client\eso64.exe
also need run steam.exe too

That doesn't work. Steam accounts won't let you get into the game that way.

Hi all, we're investigating and could use a bit more info.

Are you trying to log into PC-NA or PC-EU? And are you loading up the game via Steam or directly via the game launcher?

Hi,
I had the same issue about 10 minutes ago.
Unable to login with the Internal Error message.
I play and launch on Steam PC EU server.
Steam account is linked to ESO.

But just now I was able to get into the game.
**EDIT**
I tried to quit the game, and I got in again, into the character.
However I must say that the login is taking much much longer than usual. Character load seems to be normal. But the game login is definably slower.

I try to log on to PC-EU via game launcher, but have my eso account linked to my steam account. (so game does not ask for username/password)

PC-NA via Steam. Since my account is linked to Steam it will not let me log in via the eso64.

I am loading up the ESO Client through Steam, as it gives an error when trying to open it by itself.

But yeah, Steam (PC) NA

try login via launcher (yep steam version) on any megaservers (inc. PTS) - failed
try directly run eso64.exe - success login in NA (don't try login on rest servers)

PC - NA - and i tried it both ways, but the steam launcher is giving that error and the bethesda launcher doesn't let my steam account login (tells you to log in via steam launcher)

Steam PC/NA.

I did find a temporary workaround by launching ESO64.exe directly from the game files. Gotta put in username/password, and possibly an access code. This will only work if your ESO account wasn't created through Steam (if you're like me and had an account prior to Steam launch and linked it to Steam).

Steam account with Steam launcher, in NA server. but login in EU server is working OK.

Was just able to logon to PC EU via Steam. Unfortunately, since I don't have characters there I can't play, but at least no error this time. PC NA still the same issue.

Buddy confirmed occurring for him: PC NA, steam launcher. Win 7 HP. No previous system updates applied since last successful login. XFINITY ISP Pacific
