    Was able to login running ESO64.exe directly from the steamapps directory, but it doesn't recognize that I am a subscriber.

    Me too (OS X, PC NA, Steam). I fully quit the ESO client, ESO launcher, and Steam, still no dice. :'(@ZOS_JessicaFolsom

    PS: For completeness, I also rebooted my computer; still no dice. :'(
    PPS: I've also tried ZOS' generic instructions for this specific "internal error" at https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/39334/p/1, to no effect.

    Not fixed. Just now restarted Steam twice, then restarted the whole machine...still the same error.

    The issue hasn't resolved itself for all of us as some have already mentioned. I too have also restarted my client, Steam and ultimately rebooted my PC to no avail.

    I don't know if it matters or not but I purchased the game only through Steam after the F2P weekend in November of 2016 so this may or may not be related to that.

    Yeah. It's super irritating they're calling it fixed when plenty of people are still having the error. I was able to get in earlier on 2/14 and haven't been able to since 6:30pm 2/14 EST.

    Not to mention we won't get any responses until the support office is open in the morning.

    Honestly I'm so mad about this I feel like there should be compensation. Gimme a free coffer or something, jeez. :D

    12:12 EST and I cannot get into the NA server. I CAN, however, get into the EU server. After doing that, backed out and tried the NA server again, and nope. Already done all the restart stuff, which worked for my friend.

    Did the Same. NA still down atleast for some of us steam users.

    Make sure the steam client closes completely. Just because you close it in the taskbar/desktop doesnt mean its closed. Sometimes the process( for any program) will keep running.

    Possible solution #1: Open task manager go to processes and verify that no steam processes are running.

    Possible solution #2: Reboot your computer.

    You need the grey logging in box to pop up, the one that pops up before the steam app. Mine didnt close the first time completely( process didnt stop) and it didnt work. I ended the process in task manager, restarted steam so i got the grey logging in box and it let me in after that.

    How unfortunate, I was in character select, went to my sibling's room for a bit, and as usual the connection timed out, but now I have this error again...

    So I'd say no, not really resolved yet...

    Still having the same problem, even after a reboot. Has anyone gotten any confirmation that the developers are even aware the problem was never fixed? The last message I saw from the developers was an hour ago saying that it was fixed even though it was immediately apparent that it was not. It's a little disturbing that they still haven't done anything to acknowledge it was never fixed after all.

    Same issue here. Tried over an hour ago, it errored out the 1st time, but the 2nd attempt worked. I just bought the Morrowind expansion, so I relogged to activate it, and have since been getting this same error repeatedly. :(

    Also a Steam user.

    It is still very much broken. I had to create a Desktop icon, and then launch it, and log in with my ESO account info to get in.


    Yes I restarted my steam client, I even restarted my PC to give it a try. And here were the end results, EVERY TIME.

    Not fixed for me either, even after a reboot. Steam PC NA. Is anyone from within the US having login problems? I'm from Australia so just had a thought that perhaps it may be an issue when trying to login outside of the US.

    I am on East Coast US, PC Steam NA, and having this problem, so I am pretty sure it is the NA Server in general (for Steam users at least)
