You get one free slot for EVERY CHARACTER. Why would you want to buy more?

Because some of us want different outfit configurations for RP reasons or even just for the hell of it?

What's it to you? Why are you concerned with what I want? How is it your problem, in fact, why do you feel the need to come in here and try to shut people up?

I only wear costumes so most of this won't effect me, but I also try to get all the motifs on my characters. I couldn't' find any for sale in the crown store today, so I'm thinking you can't buy them any more? If so, that pretty much sucks. I hope they are all available in game.

1500 crowns for ONE extra outfit slot on ONE character is disgusting. If it was account wide then I might consider it; if it's only for a single character then forget it (and to show my displeasure at this I will also be limiting my crown store purchases as much as possible.)

OR at least make it like backpack upgrades, which can be purchased either with gold or with crowns.

This is quite dumb. I do not think there is anything more I can say regarding this.

I'm at a loss for words.

Edit: Can we get an actual dev in here instead of a mod telling us to behave?

So I made my first outfit and declined to use the free token because it's redguard right, will save that for something more exotic. Yay, 400 gold! Spent. So then I decided to DYE this costume and had to shill out another 3000 gold to dye it one time. Now if I want more than 1 person to wear this outfit it's 3000 for each person to dye it again. And if I'm not happy with a single part of the dye, that's another 3000 gold to fix that one issue.

Why does dyeing cost anything? When I dye the armour I find or make it has no cost.

I was gonna just outfit system to "change to a different style" and dye my Necropotence lightning, flame, and healing staffs so they looked different. The cost was from 3K to over 10K each depending on what i select. So they are still the original style and color. IMHO the maximum for a complete outfit (Armour, weapon) should be 1K - 3K.

Dying costs now (and its expensive) because they now sell tokens in the crown store so that you can dye with them and not spend gold. This is another example of how fun, and the design of the game take a back seat to the crown store and where profit is prefaced over fun.

This is why I do not like micro transactions. The game design revolves around getting people to spend money first and have fun second. Games should be designed with fun first and when they have done their job properly, profit will happen naturally. Forcing or duping players into spending money ON TOP of a monthly sub is unethical and a poor business practice.

    Totallly agree,

I've 13 *** character almost all of them max level (one is level 26 so I could get some reward from the new system... I hate I had to do that btw) but still, I was looking forward to buy one slot so that I could get 2 outfit per character and maybe have fun with it. I'm glad I read that, I'll make sure to let other people know though !!!

That's a huge cheap tricks loll now I know why they said during ESO Live, you know most people have 2 main... I mean... I know like a thousand dude who have like 6 toons they play loll

...and this, right here, is why people generally distrust ZOS. Which is a shame - there's a fantastic game right here underneath it all, and this functionality is great, pricing aside. But, as usual, the Crown Store team has undermined community trust in the game and the company as a whole.

Guys. Having your community distrust your motives and resent you is NOT how you build a lasting game or brand loyalty. It's also not how you make money long-term. Seriously, a loyal community is much more profitable in the long-term, even if it means sacrificing some short-term money-making opportunities, so even from a purely monetary perspective, this sort of thing is a bad idea.

1500 to create your own "costume" essentially, but unlike an actual costume, you can only use it on one character.

One free slot per character is fantastic. I'm happy to have that and will use them and enjoy them. I have absolutely no intention of ever paying 1500 for an extra slot for one toon. On the list of things in my life that just aren't happening, that's right up there.

However, I'm cheap and hate spending money so I would have been priced out of this even at a lower point. Judging from many other responses here, ZOS aimed way too high with this one and probably could have done better overall with either account wide unlocks or a lower price point. I'll just pretend like the additional slots simply don't exist because for me, that's basically true.

yes and if you make an outfit the cost goes higher.

I like the apostle (clockwork motif) look. IT cost me I think 22500 gold to create and outfit and dye it.

1500 crowns per character is so dang greedy. ZOS, you really make it difficult to want to support you. Who is in charge of setting the crown store prices? That person should be fired. You are going to end up losing money with such a steep price. Charging more money doesn't automatically equal more revenue. Economics 101.

Should be more along the lines of 350 per character, or 2000 for account wide upgrade (even applying to new characters you create later). I'm not even into RP, but I would have bought an additional outfit slot for all toons just for the fun of it. Now I have no desire to purchase ANYTHING from the crown store because of this greed. Congratulations on losing money, ZOS.

They can easily parry any argument with "it's not a mandatory feauture to play the game, you can ignore it, if you don't have enough cash to pay". Really, devs, a lot of people are not amused by this price. Give us some comments on the subject of this hot discussion.

No, only all dyeing of Outfits armor/weapons. Dyeing actual armor pieces and costumes is still free (the latter requiring a sub, of course, but there's no gold cost for it while subbed).

Funny people complaining about this while nobody is complaining anymore about the 1000 Crown per 10 increase to mount Speed, Stamina or Inventory... which is also per character. I'd say those things are much more important in the game than creating your own outfit, but at least ZOS gave every character ONE Outfit they can customize.

    Right!

But I disagree about getting 8 slots for "FREE". I pay monthly with ESO plus, there is nothing free about that. I also purchased the DL content to get the horse and pet....so I am double paying for the content. There is nothing free about it.

But yes, subscribers should get much more than one slot unlocked. I was balking at 1500 for a new character slot, when I found out it was PER character, I just had a laugh. ZoS can get bent with that kind of pricing. Greedy goblins.
