Not if you are on Xbox. We have to wait til December 4th. That's one entire month for us. Nothing from ZoS but an ugly mount/pet and a not very heart-felt apology.

And to add insult to injury, the Xbox One servers will come down tomorrow also LOL

"supposed to" being key. They are just reverting to before the performance updates. That MAY fix it for console , but wont do anything for pc.

Seems to me that they are also adding a 2 minute timeout to the load screen when it is blocked by a texture that has not loaded. Two minutes seems like a long long time. Long enough that people will still consider it to be "infinite" and force the game to exit. If this is what has been happening on PC for the last forever, then the "infinite" load screens should cap at 2 minutes.

The "fix" for console will be reverting the changes that made the previously occasional infinite load screens constantly occurring load screens. The 2 minute timeout will apply to those occasional infinite load screens.

Even sneezing in this game causes loading screen. I got 3 in under an hour today, 2 in cyro and after each one(alt+f4) i had to go through 5 loading screens to get back where I was. Now, imagine if I have to wait 2 min for each one....no bloody thank you

Had something new, for me anyway. I can hear that I have arrived where I was going, but the load screen stays up without the spinning icon. Do my ears managed to fast travel but not my eyes, I guess.

Example. Portal to Coldharbour from Stirk. I hear Caldwell say “hello what’s this” and the sounds of Coldharbour, but I still see the load screen.

Pretty much how it works, can hear the battle music and the NPCs talking sometimes but the load screen remains...

My story (one of many), was soloing PvP which I guess is my own fault since the game is broke...anywho, got killed, tried to respawn...can't, close then open application, respawn in a keep that AD just took, they killed me, tried to respawn (couldn't), close/open application, respawn in a keep DC just took, get insta killed again, tried to respawn (couldn't), close/open application...finally spawn at the south gate, travelled to Chalman (no loading screen yay), go outside, get into a fight and get an infinite loading screen right in the middle of battle...close/open application, respawn dead...rinse and repeat...beat head against a wall

You are erroneously playing-down everyone's frustration who is voicing their concerns in the forum. Those that PVP, PVP exclusively 100% of the time (unless they need to get something that can only be obtained in PVE, and then only to get that and get right back to PVP). It isn't like a single zone isn't accessible to us -- All of Cyrodiil is unplayable. And, there is no replacement area.

This load screen problem is beyond normal. To avoid frustration, you must avoid the immense downtime -- more time logging than playing. Either by not playing at all, or avoid things that cause load screens.

While it does affect PVE areas, they are able to stay in a single zone longer and avoid load screens. But, out of frustration after 2-3 long load screens, a player may say, I give up -- not log in again. This may give a PVE player 30-60 minutes of playtime

PVP'ers must reload after practically every fight. At 1-5 minutes, compare that to PVE play time. Side-Note: Those of us that have stayed in the game have tried to run with groups to resurrect us and play builds that can sneak away to resurrect players -- to avoid Load Screens at all costs which also means lying dead for several minutes waiting to a pick-up (still lots of down time).

One reason for the thousands asking for compensation, ZOS needs something to regain the trust of the players and something to lure people back with renewed confidence. This is needed for the sake of the game community and for ESO's financial success. The 'compensation' is just one method of demonstrating ZOS's acknowledgement that the severity of the loss of playability and players in-game is so severe to warrant it. Players would be more confident playing because of the precedence as you suggest that if something else goes wrong, ZOS may be on the hook for a financial loss and player compensation. ZOS should be at a risk if they release major bugs to live servers.

You (the post I quote below) shouldn't down-play a majority of the players' frustrations -- by discouraging such request for compensation or a player's feeling they have a right to compensation.

I purchase a six month subscriptions -- I don't have the ability to cancel it. If I had a month-to-month subscription, I certainly would have cancelled the renewal on a monthly basis because I am receiving much less benefit from it at the moment (and I don't have the ability to cancel like others). I should have the choice to NOT PLAY A GAME THAT REQUIRES ENDLESS REBOOTS -- IF IT WERE UP TO YOU, I SHOULD JUST ACCEPT IT AND NOT COMPLAIN. I DISAGREE.

    ADarklore wrote: »
For those who want an example of this happening before... try Orsinium. I believe it was almost two months before some players could log in and finish their crafting writs there, each time they tried they crashed, some players had to send ZOS tickets because their characters were stuck there.

Further, those complaining about wanting compensation, the 'game' is not inaccessible or broken, a specific section of the game- much like Orsinium was- is problematic. If 90% of the game is working fine, then they're not going to compensate anyone simply because the one section you are choosing only to play doesn't work... go play in another area until it's fixed. If they started compensating now, they'd set a precedent, and any problem from then on would have players using this precedent to demand compensation... the easiest way is to not compensate anyone.

Also, for those who don't get it, ESO+ isn't enough to support the game... if it were, it would have stayed subscription based. Fact is, ESO+ is just icing on the cake, the real cake, the real aspect that supports the game are Crown Store purchases. So saying you're going to cancel ESO+ doesn't cause ZOS to blink twice, it didn't support the game before, isn't supporting it now, so they're not going to listen to your tantrums.

To make it worse, well on the console anyway, if you're forced to exit the game and restart it, you have to jump through hoops just to get back into the game. Press A to start, then Press A again, then finally you're at the character selections screen.

Wish it just loaded into the character selection screen when you booted up the game.

Ah well at least there is a "fix" coming tomorrow, oh wait! Xbox users have to wait a whole nother week, even though Xbox One servers are coming down tomorrow.

Random "screeeeech"-sound crashes seems to be gone. But ending up in infinite load screen when being killed and trying to respawn. Respawning in a distant keep, far away from conflict seems to grant some tiny chance of success. Random load screens after capturing keeps, especially if near transitus shrine, back flag or when fixing walls.

Can't crit rush or shield charge without a like 25% chance of ending up in load screen, especially charging NPC's at resource flags seems like a reliable way to end up in never ending load screen.

past week or so getting a long login that fails two to three times on time outs. If I switch characters to one that is in the same zone then it will mostly login fine. If the characters were in different zones then get a timed out failed login.

also noted that a third character switch results in a failed timed out login.

Reasons for the switching, mount training or crafting dailies.

Edit: I did find that the cause was master Merchant addon, this only started after the prior update. Only resolution I found was to stop using the addon.

Because the issue on PC is what console had before CWC. Since CWC a bug was released on console that has made the game unplayable. I play on xbox and pc and theres nothing different to before on pc, still same random yet not very often load screens. But console is a whole different story
