( EDIT:Condensed version of the poll: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/375206/will-you-pvp-in-a-server-filled-with-small-scale-pvpers-only)

Join an empty campaign (in its current state) along with several other players for:
  • Small scale: Groups of 6 or 7 at max with focus on fighting. Running solo or duo would be best.
Not standing out in the opening and dueling. Not zerging.
Not running with min-max Templar healer/DD + Tank/DD DK. Just random builds complementing each other.
  • Balanced: No ult gen tank build spamming resto/S&B ult.
  • Serious: No time for hate tells or complaining/dictating in zone chat.
  • Accepting: Player says a goofy idea in Zone Chat that he is going to do (I think we should all attack Sej), staying silent and let him do it himself. Asking for an opinion is different.
  • Willing to run with new PvPers if you feel like teaching them.
  • Don't care about AP made at the end of the day. Fine with whatever AP you earned without zerging/farming.
  • Play as multiple small groups coordinating against similar enemy groups
(5x 4-player group vs. 3x 6-player group vs. 4x 4-player groups along side solo players independently fighting to control the map.
Known issues: Lack of incentives other than AP and the "thrill" of winning the fight).
  • Purely solo IC war zone in Sewers and City.
  • Be arrogant and elitist player and never speak a word to those beneath you but love to slaughter anything on your path SOLO without a healer or friend by your side?
  • Be a humble stamplar who just got your first impen gear and would like some AP but after reading countless forum post decided to never zerg, work your way to arrogance, dying few hundred times and run in small groups without a healer, no matter what?
  • L2PvP without complaining about certain builds, skills etc.
  • Not welcoming any player who constantly keeps spamming lfg or follows you to zerg.
A campaign where you can lure them to enemy players and can safely watch them devoured by enemies, AFTER you ask them not to follow you as a big clunky group.

Now, how many of you will be interested in joining such a server where 86 players home out of which 11 are active players (Keep flippers) across 3 alliance and multiple characters from same user account can be found in leader board of <100 players faction wise (Emperor has earned 48K AP and wears Sanctuary or Hircine's Veer gear. Really !?)

I am thinking to make a multi-alliance guild OR casual organisation where players focus Fighting in open world. Non CP is my choice, thus looking at Almalexia. The server seems almost dead to me. My question is will the guild be a success over time ? Will I get decent number of players (50) to play with who will be interested in playing so? I would like to know.

This is to happen in PC EU Almalexia, where if we could get a number of players we can dictate how we play. This post is to find out player interest in such a thing. I would love to organise this but before I go ahead I am asking players.

After all this chatter, Will you fight in a server where groups of 8+ will be shunned and driven away, but multiple independent groups of players, solo and duo players who have no intention of abusing min-max fight for the fun of PvP?

BACKSTORY ( Following rant can be ignored and skipped to the poll)
I am from PC EU. All my characters are EP and play in Sotha Sil. I spend/spent most of my time as solo. Rarely get into a duo. I do zerg surf sometimes. I run with a PvP guild's zerg. I don't take part in an AP tick which I do think I deserve (12+ players taking a resource after a keep is captured).

I have met pretty amazing opponents across various campaigns and pretty salty ones too. I absolutely began hating the thing Sotha Sil prime time has become. One to three places where the total server population is, not fighting, just casting skills until dead or need to regen. All just for AP. Few leaders (less than 10) leading the entire who just spam lfg until the leader rage quits for having grouped up with such an ungrateful team (50% of the times) and have no idea Alliance war group finder tool exist (I queue everyday, every minute. Never worked as intended once).

Most of the builds I have seen are creative and impressive. Ice staff sorc in Bahara's curse and Nerieth'thn, who always kills me 1v1 but could never line up both the set procs. Stamblade who hit me with 6K light attack crit and was a Flawless Conqueror, Light armor magblade who was tanking 7 players without Troll King or Earthgore while another magblade AoE bombed everyone attacking the tank. Several such interesting fights happen in Cyrodiil. However, prime time is getting boring.

I spend majority of my time in ESO running 4 player dungeons or PvPing or On IC topside, where you rarely get to fight a player or kill a farmer. Me and one AD stamblade (we both kind of hate each other even tho we just had one conversation) frequent there, fighting since day one of my IC experience. Randoms are rare and never show up the next day.

While Sotha Sil Cyro was lagging and zerging out bad, I cringed watching a group of 4 AD operating 14 siege to take over emperor keeps while 3 EP standby for them to finish Emperor flip and DC group is no where to be seen, in Almalexia. In another day inside Almalexia, there was 1 EP PvE-ing, me waiting for Sotha Sil queue (51+), looking for enemies and a random EP who ported here by mistake instead of porting to Kyne (we had a nice and long laugh before here left). I left queue, called few friends and searched the entire map for other players. Disappointed af.

Not gonna whine or rant for Zenimax to give us some incentive. Found a server big and lonely enough. I would love to get players who are like minded (I mean the points I mentioned above) together and start some fun PvP. A server where you realise thinking and collaborating individually to your liking and not ask to join a group to do anything.

Anyone interested?

I like to fight as big groups. I get the best thrills from fights where Keeps are defended/sieged by raids of players.

    I was thinking of:

3 groups of 4-players Vs. 1 group of 4-players + 2 groups of duo Vs. 2 groups of 5-players sieging a keep on multiple sides etc.

In such cases, you can fight your enemies reasonably. Defence sieges are powerful if you employ properly. See someone isolated ? You can try to lure and kill them and come back into the keep if you plan and communicate properly You can sneak out and take back resources. Going yolo solo ? Sure. You may take down more than half the enemies. You get to listen to team mates and play more actively if you are new player. Your PvP experience matters here. This is what I am trying on.

Something like that in Imperial City would honestly be fantastic.

One of my biggest problems with Cyrodil is really just the downtime. I'm in PVP to fight players, not spend 10 minutes at a time looking for a fight, only to get zerged down and have to start all over again.

Battlegrounds do a lot to scratch that itch, but if there was a server like you described with an active IC, I'd run that in a heartbeat.

If I do organise this, there will be strict rules on anyone who comes for small scale play. One of the rules will be no Xv1s, unless the solo player engages you. Can't say much for 1v1.

Good to hear someone else liking IC. However, if organising IC, I think solo only will be nice.

The population should be high enough and the playtime should be long enough in such a way that:
    • Purely solo. No grouping or staying together. This means a lot of players in IC.
    • You will have no time to engage a boss
    • Always see a player in your screen
    • No Xv1-ing. If you see some jump in to even the odds
    • Long duration, so that in the end the best player leaves with high tel var. More time spent fighting, more tel var you accumulate. Starting from 1 tel var and after some 100 kills, you get 2K tel var -?? (The thrill of fight matters more)
    • Could serve as a ground for highly experienced PvPers to compete.
    • Placing players carrying a bunch of tel var (20K tv) hidden somewhere. Who ever can find and kill the player gets it and the player who got the killing blow will end up having their name announced in enemy zone chat.
    • Purely solo. Requires lots of players.

We make and agree collectively on our rules. Trying to achieve that.
