You're using the Two Hand executioner instead of the NB one? Is it because it flows better? I have been trying to get a NB to work forever (Not a good NB, like I am not great at Stamplar, but my NB is abysmal lol). I always just figured the Stam morph for the NB's execute ability was better than the Two handed one, but maybe I am wrong??

The 2h execute does flow much better than killer's blade, to me at least. Ever since they last made changes to the animations (Dark Brotherhood DLC perhaps?) Killer's Blade has felt really wonky as far as trying to cancel it goes. And even though it doesn't heal you the 2h execute (whichever morph you prefer) starts scaling at 50% instead of 25% so you get an advantage there as well.

    Edit:
You can see in my video here that killer's blade appears to be working very smoothly. This was recorded right before the Dark Brotherhood DLC launched. I remember changing to 2h/bow after that instead of dw/2h. (First person trigger warning on the video, also sorry for the quality, was still getting the hang of recording video from ESO at the time)

RE: Gate Camping, and factions holding all the map and zerging down any player that even tries to go near a keep or resource to try and take just one thing back on the map back.

I don't know what you can do to prevent this. On one side "All's fair in love and war", and the game already has a 'safe space' built in where you can't be attacked, so you will always have some individuals that think this tactic is ok no matter what. On the other, it clearly discourages people from playing PVP (and especially disappointingly, discourages new players) no matter which faction they are from.

As you are never going to change human nature, perhaps some in game mechanic could be devised to prevent the problem? Maybe have a demarcation zone around each gate and its associated home keep where 30 minutes (or some other arbitrary time period) after the gate is opened, you no longer score AP for killing players? Have this zone reset only after the gate is closed. That way there would be no incentive for players to gate camp or hold the oppositions keeps nearest the gate unless they are still after the scroll. Or maybe people can come up with better suggestions?

@pzschrek @Rickter Sotha is still considered the home campaign for IOTE (AD), though we haven't been running groups much in Sotha lately due to the AD Zergpocolypse and DC's population crash. Guild groups have primarily been campaign hoping between Sotha and Vivec (and sometimes Kyne) since Sotha has frequently been dead lately. We generally have a guild group going for at least a few hours in Sotha on Saturdays, though.

Yeah I feel that the light attack>executioner>bash combo feels much smoother than LA>killers blade>bash. I also tend to execute around the 30-35% range as well.

Their group sizes, or at least group plus straphangers/followers, runs in the 20s on the low end and the 40s on the high end. None of us have any idea where all these pug swarms came from, but they sure weren't there during the Great War to help push DC (to be fair the guilds I mentioned were there, but not the swarms that have since swelled their group ranks).

Drunk & Pantsless only has regular scheduled guild runs on weekends. During the week some of us run with IV. Pants is also a Aussie/Oceanic guild so you're going to see us on at odd hours compared to guilds based in US time zones.

Requiem is officially homing on Sotha Sil this campaign cycle. Raids will begin on Monday after the Shor cycle ends. Looking forward to no-salt, bare metal, clean, fun pvp and also look forward to meeting the community here as I've been out of the loop since around June 2017.

Hope to see you all then!

Sorta late, but to address the executioner vs killers blade, killers blade gives you that 300% extra as long as they are under 25% where as executioner ramps up the farther below 50 they are. So for example, at 24.9% hp killers blade will give 300% damage where as at 50% hp executioner might only be giving 60% extra (don't quote my #s)

I'm sitting outside of Glade in stealth watching AD and EP trade it back and forth for AP right now. A group of 8ish EP rides in, takes the keep, then leaves to take resources without repairing the doors. When they leave, a group of 4-5 AD comes in, takes the keep, then leaves to take resources without repairing the doors. Real classy, guys.

HAHAHA I wonder what guild, or more to the point, what person this is? :D Jokes I don't wonder, I know. Sot his is how you farm your AP to get back to top of the ladder for emp, and stay there. Got all your sheep helping you. What happened to you going over to EP permanently so you could 'make sure we never emp on any campaign ever'? Good to see you back with your tail between your legs. I dont know why you always keep hinting towards me, it is very obvious lol. I'll have your know i make all my AP from killing people (2k each as solo) + resource flipping with 1 other maybe 2 if im lucky and going to any tick at a keep thats flipping. I also never once said i was going to EP permanently so that is also false news. I go on EP to play with my guild when PVP is dead on AD otherwise im on my AD just doing nothing. I am still pushing Grand Overlord on my AD and my main is on AD of course i'll play that character still.

I dont need to flip keeps to make my AP just like how most players nowadays need to flip keeps on dead campaigns to get EMP. And if you still dont believe me you can ask any AD that has seen me running around the entire cyrodil map.

Here is a valid question.. If you guys dislike people flipping keeps on sotha sil, what about all the other dead campaigns? Why is sotha sil the only campaign that this bothers you on? Obviously no one is batting an eye towards emp trading, ap farming on dead campaigns.

I haven't named or shamed anyone. If you want to assume I'm talking about you go ahead. Guilty conscience maybe? :D

Clearly it's not just AD that are over it. I hope that player grows up one day and realises that when their own guild mates have had enough of *** behaviour, it's time to change said behaviour.

Not mentioning any names, of course.

Should mention that I saw the above behaviour with my own characters eyes. Would love to share the screenshots but, you know, that's right up there with the naming and shaming. Feel free to join our discord for viewing purposes tho. Just don't forget to lurk in the shadows for a day thinking we can't see you, then change your name and profile pic at the last minute before making a post and leaving like you were doing something super clever :D

Clearly I haven't been banned when I've been posting consistently the past year. And neither was anyone else. Did your cries at people speaking the truth fall on deaf ears?

Honestly the most obnoxious thing lately has been the DC/AD transfers complaining in EP zone chat about EP being in the same position they're usually in because that makes the transfers realize they are irrelevant.

Overall guilds reshuffling has at least made the evenings more entertaining when all the different crews are out raiding.

As someone who is playing the other side this campaign, EP instead of AD, I'm liking the switch. It's fun to play against your old faction and fight new people. DC has more of a presence this campaign which is also helping keep things lively. It's interesting to see and play against the new AD zerg that formed last campaign and good to see they're getting some pushback from my group and some larger ones on the server. Some night capping and the usual, but much healthier than last campaign. Now if we could just keep personal matters out of this thread. I've been thinking of starting a discord for sotha where such discussions can be had to keep them out of the forums and would like to advertise it on here but don't know if that would be ok and would appreciate a mod letting me known.

I am not sure I can say this on the forums or not but usually EP zone chat is pretty ok. However, last night it died because of all the yuck going on in zone & guilds that normally communicate in zone were communicating via tells. Please do us all a favor on EP in Sotha, keep the yuck out of it so we can all have fun without having to communicate via tells.
