If you actually "However your mouse arrow" on the Blue line it will show you the date. The Date at the bottom is only a legend, the far end of the chart goes as far as May 7th of 2017 which is current.
I am not manipulating any data, and I know how to read the charts.
The Trends show:
1. A BIG spike from March 30-April 4 of 2014
2. Followed by a continual decline from April 12th to July 19th of 2014
3. Followed by staying Steady from July 2014 till November 2014
4. A small dip further down in December of 2014
5. A small rise from Jan-March of 2015
6. A HUGE spike from June 5-June 13th of 2015
7. A steady decline from June 20th to December 26th 2015 (Post IC release)
8. A small uptake from December 27th to Jan 9th 2016
9. A decline from Jan 2016 to May2016
10. A small uptake from June-July 2016
11. Held steady from July to December 2016
12. A small uptake from Jan-Feb 2017
13. April 2017 small uptake (F2P weekend)
14. Small decline, holding steady in May 2017
If you actually hover your mouse over the blue line it gives you more precise dates
Thats how the data is read.
If these small up and down spikes are the normal, im not sure where they go from here. Skyrim a 2011 game has better trends...They need to find a way to bring in more people somehow.
the game won't survive longterm with these kinda trends.
I want ESO to be around for a long time...they need to figure it out somehow...via marketing whatever...they need to get more people playing the game somehow.
We have never recovered from the HUGE loss of players shortly after Imperial City release. This is the crux...this was the straw that broke the camels back.
Luckily for ZOS its not a game changer yet, they have time to fix it, but they best not wait around too long to do it...even if that means having more F2P weeks, or giving discounts, or bonus items, or something to get more people to buy the game and try it...they need to do something.
It is hilarious, all those ppl QQing, but they keep coming back and spam the forum.
Do not like the game? Then leave instead of whining like a little kiddo about it for *** weeks.
To continue what @Crafts_Many_Boxes says, here is the trending data for "ESO"
Doesn't look dead to me. You can look for yourself here: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?q=ESO
Note that all of the related topics are video game/mmo related

Actually @Alcast that is not my intent.
My intent is to hopefully convince ZOS to find new ways to get more people playing.
Burying our heads in the sand and saying there isn't an issue will get us no where and does more harm then it does good. A problem must first always be acknowledged before it can be corrected....discounting everyone who says something they don't agree with as some sort of troll does nothing but hurt us all.
i still play ESO at times for FFS!
Simply put, ZOS needs to market some freebies, toss in some codes with Skyrim SE purchases and ongoing game codes with folks buying the TES games off steam and give people more opportunities to try ESO
Let them throw in a week free of Gametime for anyone who purchases a Bethesda game...get people a free week....get them in the game...get them to try it...hopefully 25% of them stay, if they do BOOM we have a big winner!!!!
Google Trends goes back up to a good solid level, ZOS makes more money, we have more players, and everyone wins.
This is what this thread is shooting for
Putting such a code inside of Prey boxes, and giving such a code with Steam purchases of Prey woulda have been a winner....
We need to get easy access in front of more people....just giving away a free week with purchase of another game..it will do ESO well to do something like this...it will get more people to try it. thats the entire goal of this post.

I'll bite.
Please give me an estimated date in which ESO will go from dying to dead.

if you actually "read" you would see the two photos at the very bottom of the post are the Google Trends all the way up to May of 2017 which is current which shows ZERO change from the orginal article whihc proves the point.
Furthermore, searches for ESO are actually worse then The Elder Scrolls Online, showing the same exact nosedive after Imperial City release(June of 2015)

You must be so embarrassed!

What?
You do realise that ZOS know exactly how many people are playing, how long the subscriptions are, how many hours they play, in what zones. ZOS knows every single detail they care about, they'd probably be able to tell you the average gold per hour earned by level 15 Daggerfall Covenant players.
I am sure ZOS has more detailed statisics and that if they cared they'd get it from google as well.

How so?
See May 2015
See that downward slope? if you track that with your mouse, all the way down you see it taking a nosedive that it never recovers from. Trends never gets that high again. The only time it ever got close to being that high was back in April of 2014 show on the left slighty to the right of Nov 2013.
