Honestly, I know you're not responsible Gina, but the absolute racial injust and bias is just really unfair.
You guys at Zenimax, whoever makes the choices regarding the homes, sincerely need to stop his blatant Breton and Daggerfall favoritism. It is really disappointing to see these DC homes like Daggerfall Overlook and Hundings Palatial having the far better features of any other home, when you guys leave the Ebonheart Chateau as a boring Dunmer manor, without any additional features like all other manors have.
I will list the list of features in a spoiler tag, to spare everyone else the scroll-time.- Serenity Falls (AD Manor)
1. River
2. Pool
3. Waterfall
4. Additional Servant House
5. Stables
6. Balconies from the main building AND second.
7. Large Two Story Building
8. Yard
- Daggerfall Overlook (DC Manor)
4. MASSIVE Overlook over the Iliac Bay
5. Fountain
6. Stable
7. Big Barn
8. Castle has fitting room separation, 3 stories including the Cellar.
9. Unique special hideaway entrance to the sea below from the cellar.
10. Yard
11. Now with a brilliant Watchtower too.
- Ebonheart Chateau (EP Manor)
1. Yard
2. Four Trees
3. One Big 3 story House with only one seperate room in the cellar (Essentially all commen Dunmer manors.)
4. A Barn
5. Fountain
The Ebonheart Chateau does NOT have a functional watchtower as the description claims, and the entire view of the house out over the lava lakes, ash grounds and sea is completely blocked off by rocks that cannot be adjusted with the housing editor.
I honestly hope you will share word to the responsible people in charge, Gina, for the Ebonheart Chateau is quite literally the most expensive manor, but just as it is expensive at nearly 4 million gold, it is but equally disappointing.
So a proper weave with a staff vs. dual wielding was already fairly close in terms of raw DPS for a magicka character.
Now we have nerf'd dual wield vs. a buffed staff.
Sounds like we're being pigeon holed into a staff build if you want to build properly.
Losing a main-hand items requires a complete build rework. I cant' just take off two swords and throw on a staff.
Guess it's back to farming. Great.
For magicka users, you'll be losing only around 30 spell damage with this change--it's not really significant.
I do think that magicka users should be using staves, that dual-wield for magicka is an aberration, and that it's good that magicka DPS migrate to using staves. That having been said, the loss of 30 SD really is just a drop in the bucket that should not--and would not--change the staff-vs-DW equation. The changes to the fire and lightning staff passives, on the other hand, are far more significant than this change.

Interesting change to Dual Wield. I wonder if that will further dissuade magicka classes from running Dual Wield.
@dpencil
No it wont..... the only reason i use dual wield as magicka, its for the 2 set bonus it provides... so i can wear 2 sets and a monster helm with its shoulder.... if i use a 2 handed i can only use 1 set and a monster helm or 2 sets with no monster helm...
I guess this is not part of the balance

Lol lesson learned. Never make these kind of purchases before a big update goes live.

Hi @ZOS_GinaBruno,
I see that the prices in the master writ voucher store have been updated already in this patch, up from the 1 voucher of last week. Does your comment mean that there are further price changes coming in v2.7.2? I really hope so, because for anyone without 9 trait research complete (to be able to finish the 100+ voucher master writs), the prices are probably too high on the attunable crafting stations.
250 vouchers is something like 3 gold weapon hand ins, which amounts to something like 280-300k
Way, way, way, way too much for something that might save you a 5 minute trip to Craglorn.
Generally, these voucher prices are much too high comparing to how many vouchers you get from the writs. I we need to hand in stuff that requires 8 gold tempers, it sure as heck gotta be worth more than that.

Could not 2H been buffed instead?
That might have been the better approach. Outside of PvP, or solo questing, half the time my characters are now dual weiders, both magicka and stamina builds.
i doubt anything raising burst damage is on the agenda without counter-reductions included - so reducing the DW vs raising the 2h makes sense to me.
i like this change. One of the often bemoaned "everything dw" complaints was the less wpndam/spldam when you 2H. this is a step to making them more numerically base level on par while maintaining their functional differences.

lol, NB have concealed weapon, templar have jabs, dks have whip. The only one that is forced to use Force Pulse is the sorc.
Holy ^%&*@!.
Imagine if you were one of those Muppets that bought 2 elegant sharpen swords for your mag sorc LOLOLOL

Ouch. I knew the attunement stations weren't going to be cheap, but 250 vouchers?!
That depends how many vouchers in average we will get.
I had to craft a gold 2h ancient orc battle axe from imperial city and got 21 vouchers, for an example.
Holy ^%&*@!.

Psst! The nerf is only like 40 SD, dual wield sorcs will still work fine if that's how you want to play. Staff is just a more viable DPS option now.
GIT HOOKED ON MATHS!

39 WD difference with Major Brut up + 5 medium armor passive.
Without Major Brut I have 2823 WD on live and on 2789 PTS. So yeah, it is being affected by buffs. Maximum of 51 WD lost if you're a sorc with Major/Minor brut and Flawless main barred (altho, not sure why you'd do that)
The 6% bonus passive, Dual Wield Expert, is also no longer granting Spell Damage. This was a bugged passive and was only retaining it's bonuses if you did something unintended with them, which is being fixed
This is less than 100 DPS lost for min/maxed situations. The world is not ending, calm down.
Tnx Zos you are still keep going to destroy my DW MagSorc it is like u are saying me we dont want you in this game anymore...Cuz i only play PVP and only play with My DW MAG SORC ... pls keep going like that ...eventually i will say enough and stop playing ESO ..
Thank you...

@ZOS_RichLambert
I am sorry but I cannot agree this is destroying the magsorc, all you did was look a little different with dual wield it does not mean you used the weapons, now things are more balanced with 2h, and the staff got a nice increase, I really do not see the big deal, if anything I thought it was lame you cannot actually use the swords and be effective anyways being magicka thats the real problem.
