hmmmm, yeah...i really wish folks would just stay still and let me beat them to death :p

if I recognize the name as someone whom I know can withstand multiple enemies attacking them for a long period of time - I'll usually just top off my ult and go elsewhere...

I've actually practiced a bit lately using trees, rocks and different structures to try and break LoS better...

it's not easy sometimes to avoid slipping off the rocks and ending up surrounded by enemies...

I've never tried the running around a tree technique - one of these days...

I understand why people use streak shadow image kiting around rocks etc but it doesn't mean i have to like it lol It's annoying as all get out it's cool you are working on trying to use the terrain to your advantage i'm sure it will help your gameplay i should probably do more of that sort of stuff myself honestly but i don't i just would rather fight face to face or stealth away if the situation looks bad lol

was on my magblade last night...

maybe not the "bravest" character I have - but, it's just so much fun being able to consistently cloak your way out of a bad situation...

I don't display numbers/percentages on resource bars - so, every once in a while I'll teleport strike into someone, unload on them - and, watch their health bar not even move a bit (ugh, those pesky templar and dragonknight tanks :#)...

cloak definitely helps with those "oops" situations...

thankfully, so few people slot magelight or use detect pots...it's easy most time to cloak right through a group of 10 or more players...

it seems like for the last couple of weeks i've been overly focused on AP farming...lot's of rapids and pvdooring...

last night I tried to make sure not to check my score and simply have fun fighting...

it helped...only played for an hour and made a paltry 10k during that time; but, i enjoyed not riding around chasing flagged keeps, and, simply fighting whomever was close by...

oh yeah - score wise - about 21 days left in the campaign and AD had taken the lead and stretched it out to about a 400 point advantage...

hopefully it's only a temporary bump...

always a little weird to be playing blue, head east from either glademist or aleswell and run into yellow players...

I checked in for a bit yesterday. I've been moving IRL but we finally got our internet back up and running. There are some familiar names from yellow playing on blue. That used to bother me, but c'est la vie.

I think my biggest change has been trying to use new skills and getting rid of Radiant Destruction from my bar. Trying to force myself to change it. It's been interesting. I have a dual wield bar with single target skills, and a lightning staff with aoe's. That staff bar has been amazing when defending breaches.

I've been using Rattlecage, Willpower, and Mighty Chudan (it was on sale last week). It's nice to have some buffs up where I don't have to worry about working them into the rotation. Instead I just... play. I know it's not optimal but it's been fun being able to fire off a variety of skills and not having to worry about buffing up. It helps keep the game fresh. I'm a perma-buff machine! The only thing I don't do is crit much and I've been thinking about replacing the Rattlecage with Mechanical Acuity. That way I don't have to worry about the low crit percentage and I can focus on other areas - regen, health, max magic, etc... We'll see... I have the mats, it's just overcoming my laziness to get out there and craft something.

i have no idea why that comment made me think of gene gene the dancing machine, and the gong show :)

man, they must have seriously been partying hard on that set...

i hope the moving stuff went relatively smooth and your back is still in one piece...

after a couple of years of the same stuff - it most definitely is useful to switch things up on your characters...

oh yeah...when my two wardens turned 50 - i put my stam warden in dreugh king slayer and my mag warden in rattlecage...

the rattlecage works like a charm on my mag warden - but, for some reason - the dreugh king slayer on my stam warden was a complete bust, and, had to remove it after a few days...

so it would seem as though you've now joined a very exclusive club - the tards...

woo hoo...finally had a chance to put the mighty chudan set on my stam sorc...

no question, much like it took me a long time to find the right combination of skills and gear for my stam dk - I've spent the last couple of years trying to figure out a good set up for my stam sorc...

I tried relying heavily on mobility - but, it just isn't really my style...

using chudan and switching from 7 medium to 5 medium/2 heavy has my physical and spell resistance at about 24k...my crit resistance sits at about 2k...

I had to sacrifice some weapon damage (from 4k or do down to 3k), but, it is totally worth it...

right now I have him wearing 5pc marksman on the bow, and 5pc sword singer on the 2H...

still working with adjusting my skills:

2H: bound armaments, rally, crit rush/dizzying swing, brawler, executioner, and, onslaught...

bow: bound armaments, vigor, lethal arrow, arrow barrage, caltrops, and suppression field...

still working on my rotations - but, i'm having a blast not having to run away from everyone like I used to :)

i believe there's about 19 days or so left in the campaign...AD still has a comfortable lead of around 500 points or so - but, neither DC or EP appear to be going away (population wise)...

at least during the times I've played - populations have been relatively balanced lately...a couple of times though EP only had two bars participation...

myself, I've been fighting for the queen recently...playing on my argonian mag warden at the moment...

only have rank 1 unlocked on his medicinal use...need to take some time to level it up to 50...

man, that argonian pot passive has to be one of the most useful race passives in the game...

2pc troll king, 5 pc shacklebreaker (on SnB), 5 pc rattlecage has working very well on this character...pretty decent stats both offensively and defensively...

and, thankfully I have enough stamina normally to be able to break free on most occasions...

re-worked my rotations so things flow much smoother for me now...still need to practice more on my melee fighting...

resto: healing springs, corrupting pollen, combat prayer, shimmering shield, cliff racer, and enchanted forest...

SnB: deep fissure, enchanted growth, heroic slash, ice fortress, cliff racer and permafrost...

need to see about replacing cliff racer with something else...

since i finally got a target dummy - I've only used it twice :#

no doubt, yesterday when I logged on and EP was only two bars i did feel a little guilty :)

truth is - the last couple of days I played AD - DC was making strong pushes for roebeck, faregyl and alesia...

thankfully DC has been playing in force this campaign - which is the main reason this campaign has been able to stay competitive...

last week when I played EP I never made it much past sejanus and rarely was able to take chalman...

one good thing with AD is when i'm out there I run in to lots of folks from the forums...

I wanna make sure i get those champion caches with the five pieces of jewelry in them...

I already have about 9 of those caches saved in different character inventories...i'm hoping when summerset goes live I'll be able to deconstruct them when I finally open them all up...

i'm not sure though if that stuff has already been coded...

Earlier this week I decided to go finish off my "Capture Aleswell Mine" quest. I set out from Ash and figured if he dies, he dies.

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=YFFo7xz69t0

I hit the mine and rode straight up into the tower like you do. I threw down blockade, blazing spear, lit up the mage with purifying light and total dark, then jab jab jab. Take out the guard and the healer. Go downstairs to catch my breath before heading outside and... there's someone else out there killing the NPC's. Cool, help. I looked the guy over, he clearly took time on his outfit and he looked good. His name was Big Red and as expected, his armor was mostly red. He had the argonian helm that kind of looks like a crown dyed gold. Two handed sword maybe? Anyway, it was cool to have the help. It looked like he just came from the lumber mill.

I had completed my quest but rather than ride all the way back I thought I'd just take some more resources until I'm eventually killed and then respawn back at the gate. So I hit the rapids and turbo cat away to the farm, may as well resource lock this place. I raced through and up the tower again, and clear it out. Down below I see Big Red getting the rest of the NPC's. I come in on mop up duty with some aoe's and we capture the flag. I wave hello and he waves back. We both took some time checking out each other's gear. Big Red is as I described above, and me, well...Talion looks pretty good, I took some time on his outfit so I was glad to have someone look me over. I saw I had the scout Dragon Claw quest so I mounted up and took off to check that off my list too. I rode near Big Red, popped rapids and took off. I figured he could use the boost to wherever he was going and I appreciated the help.

I arrived outside Bruma, on my way north. It was currently in Covenant hands. So I thought, "if he dies, he dies". I started capturing the middle flag, the one near the dolmen. I took care of the two NPC's and saw a blue coming out of the building to the north. I saw he was CP 560 (something like that) and I figured he was questing there so I blocked, jumped, and went back to capturing the flag. I saw another flag was turning yellow - the front one with all the NPC's. I wonder if it's Big Red? The DC guy charged me though, so regretfully I had to engage. I was ok with dying because of the one quest, but I didn't really want to die as I wanted to scout Dragon Claw and I was so close. I figured if I could just stay alive long enough the NPC's will arrive and help me out or... maybe Big Red or whoever was taking flag one. Now, either I'm getting better or this guy wasn't ready for it. To be honest, he went down pretty quickly. I felt pretty good about myself. I still had my ultimate full. I did the Honor emote followed by the Bull Horns because that's how it goes. Don't mess with the bull, you'll get the horns.

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=pDzWyhXonMU

That was when Big Red showed up. We captured the flag faster with the two of us. Then we moved on together to the final empty flag. We mopped up there and I hit us both with rapids and took off. Now I took the long way because I don't know my way around Bruma -> Dragon Claw very well. I saw the lower resource being flipped whereas I just went to the castle to "scout" it. I finished that up and moved to the next resource. I'll just keep taking things until I get killed, I guess. I captured two of the three resources and just decided to siege this place from the north side because I may as well go out big. Either I take a castle solo (or possibly with Red's help) or I get swarmed. I had two standard ballistas on me so I set both up and started pinging away. I managed to get the place flagged but it was still around 45% and I was down to one ballista. So I packed up my siege and went to the resource to buy more. That's when the first Blue jumped off the wall. He charged and he was getting worked by me when his friend jumped down. I was doing ok until the third guy showed up. I finished off the first guy when the other two got me. I saw on the map that all the resources were blue already so they must have found Big Red (RIP in peace, Red)

holy cow, this never happened before - just made a 100k AP in a little under 2 hours...

last campaign I kept my EP characters out of the war...partly because I only participated in the war a little over a week's time, but, also because the previous month I just didn't have that much fun playing red...

different story this month...been having a good time on my magplar (just equipped 2pc troll king), stam sorc (just equipped 2pc chudan), and, mag dk who just collected a bunch of quick AP...

got lucky mostly - within the first thirty minutes I actually completed all five war quests...i was kind of amazed...

before turning all the quests in made sure to visit kingscrest caverns to pick up the delve boss bonus...

still have a few characters to get to tier 3...

16 days left...DC has been making a push lately, and, has pulled to within 150 points of AD...

blue gets hot for a short while everyday, then fizzles out for the next 22 hours.

I went to the IC on my one yellow toon for telvar. Grouped up with this guy. He couldn’t control himself and had to kill a couple blues. I got 4K telvar from it. Felt awful. He kicked me for not helping. For me to get that much, they must have had like 20 or 30k on them.

Don't do that. If you're committed to being on an alliance you are inclined to help out regardless if you're fighting old teammates. It's highly disrespectful to both parties.

    howdy @kylewwefan , hi @Takes-No-Prisoner ...

i just wanted to tell you how much i appreciate your sincerity...it really means a lot to me...

after having grown up in new york, i remember it took me a while of living in california to adjust to certain differences...

one of them communicating with others...

in new york - if you ask someone how they are doing - you'll normally get an earful of both good and bad, and, in many cases -just a little too much information...once you've heard enough, there'll usually be a quick end to the conversation, and, folks will go about their way...

here in california, ask someone how they're doing - and, usually it's fairly impersonal, and, not too deep...but, the conversation itself might drag on for quite awhile...many, times, it just doesn't seem as though folks know how to "politely" end it...

for myself - i really value knowing what someone truly feels or thinks...whether i agree or not with them...i really appreciate folks whom sincerely share those feelings and thoughts...the honesty of it...

saturday when i logged in during the morning, i saw a good buddy of mine was playing in cyrodiil, they were red, so, i logged on to one of my EP characters and went to go fight with them ...

side note - holy crap is life in cyrodiil so much easier when you're talking and coordinating fights within a group - even if it's just a group of two...so much easier to stay alive and kill folks...

we played for a couple of hours, then i took a break...

later on that night i got back on and saw he was playing, so, we grouped up again...let him know i wanted to go back in to cyrodiil, however - i wanted to play my mag sorc whom happens to be in the dominion...

i asked him if he had any problems about switching alliances in the same day - his immediate response - "it's only a game"...

granted my buddy, much like myself, tends to be a bit of an "independent" thinker...who - doesn't really have that large of a social circle, nor, feel particularly committed to any specific alliance, or, any folks within that alliance...

i understand this isn't some CoD, or even fortnite situation where you're thrown in with random people all the time to go "fight it out"...

for myself - my feeling is if you're "competing" the right way (loyal to your color, little to no mercy for anyone not wearing your color), it's all good...

i understand though that not everyone looks at cyrodiil that way...

if i recognize a name (not a color) - if it's a "friendly" name - i may avoid that person...however, in the course of playing - if we come into combat - it's all good...may the better player, or whatever the circumstances dictate, win...

in most situations i'd like to think i'm a fairly empathetic and sympathetic person - but, when it comes to playing in cyrodiil - it's really only a game to me...compete fairly, follow the rules, and - it' all good...

granted - i may be missing out on a deeper, emotional experience in terms of gameplay - but, for me it's about builds, mechanics, scores, and, most importantly - dead enemy bodies around my feet :)

i didn't always think this way - i'd be lying if i said i never experienced some conflicting emotions regarding attacking certain alliance players at different times...thankfully though - that stuff has worked itself out a long time ago...

For me it is about it being so much better playing in a group in this case my guild mates who are all EP.
I could never switch sides and feel good about fighting against them.
I feel guilty playing on DC on Kyne even though it is a different server. lol
Bottom line it is guild and friend loyalty which keeps me from switching not just alliance loyalty.

    For me it's the experience.

I use to run with UCantCMoi and A|3ortion. Since I went back to yellow, I always make a point to give them a good fight. These are two people who aren't married to a particular alliance, but they ally themselves with good people.

So from my perspective, it would be disrespectful to not engage and fight them. Under certain circumstances, like them getting zerged down, I wouldn't attack.

Outside of that I want to give them some great fights so they can see how I play. Nothing on ESO PvP communicates that better then fighting the guy you once grouped with. Gives you a ton of insight as to how they think.
