Maybe we're doing this all wrong. Maybe we need to add some sweetness to the bitterness? Stroke their egos? Wait, let me think... nope. I just can't do it. Like I said originally, I love this game. When it works, it's the best game on the planet... operative words are "when it works". Glitches are part of a game, I don't really mind those as long as they're not game-breaking... but everything else that's going on? For real? They're blaming user end internet connections, consoles, user end hardware... funny how all of the problems are EXACTLY the same across both consoles and PCs/Macs... Coincidence? Only common denominator is ZOS.

So yesterday wasn't a bad day in ESO land... I only crashed to dashboard 6 times while playing for about 8 hours. Wonder if it was because people were out celebrating the 4th of July? Though, there was still lag everywhere. I even managed to trek from the Wayrest wayshrine to the Undaunted area without DCing and had only 1 load screen.

It does feel that way. I see you're on PC @bottleofsyrup ... I thought they'd "fixed" all the load screens and DC'ing. I take it they didn't?

It's unfortunate, but I don't think things are going to get any better, if anything things are just going to get worse. And it really is a damn shame, I quite literally waited two years to play this game after it launched (my previous computer always crashed when I tried to run the game, and I didn't get a new PC until a couple months ago) and I'm already un-subbing. For a little while I loved this game, but now I see how unbalanced things are and how buggy everything is, and it just isn't fun for me anymore.

It is unfortunate @Stovahkiin . The game has such promise ... if only they'd fix the base game problems first before doing stuff like "One Tamriel"... more like "One Giant Lagfest with glitches galore!" But, you know, I guess I'm whiny and can't see the beauty of Barbershop or the other shiny distractions that just break the game more and more.

Xbox One experience play over last few months.

• Private story questing instances-getting attacked by mobs that are not there, show 10-15 seconds later.
• Quests taking 10-15 seconds to show up on maps.
• Broken lfg tool at any time of day/night, class/role, grouped or not, random or specific dungeon...1hour+ queue times no pops.
• Dark Brotherhood daily rewards gifting an item already equipped. Receive no said item, removes equipped item into inventory, doesn't replace said item with character level and repaired.
• Login disconnect back to console os.
• Grouping chat disconnects
• Wayshrine disconnects.
• Multiple sharding loading screens, blacked out players and buildings.
• Huge lag spikes when using a finishing ability on mobs, bosses.

etc...and I have yet to try out the pvp yet!

Who's running the show in this game? I canceled ESO plus after a month+ of waiting. Already looking towards h1z1, Tera, and revamped STO not because I like the ip, or think they are better games....but if they at least work 50% of the time I'm already sold.

Exactly, Zeni tries to get more people to play by adding new content, meanwhile they are loosing players because of their neglect to the things that actually need to be fixed.

I've already unsubbed since my previous post, hopefully Zeni will figure out how their own game works soon and fix some stuff so I can come back someday and play with my guildies.

I came back to this game because some of my original complaints were fixed. But I have to say, I'm really losing faith.

I encountered a progression stopping bug at the Molag Bal fight that wasn't fixed for several weeks.

I ran into the group bug which caused me to be unable to join a group.

The group finder has only ever worked for me once.

The lag in Cyrodiil is so unbearably bad, I stopped playing for a while (plus I can't join a group, so what's the point).

I've run into infinite load screens several times. One time it hard locked my computer and deleted all my in game settings. (Probably corrupted my config file or something).

I've gotten stuck in wardrobes and other decorations when using the blade of woe, forcing me to use the awful stuck command that forces me to go to a way shrine and then sneak all the way back to where I was before.

The house cat pet I bought in the crown store always runs in place. It probably has some cute idle animations I'll never see, and this will probably never get fixed under the mountain of horrible higher priority bugs.

Personalities look bad and unpolished. They'd don't transition smoothly between animations, making them feel cheap and unfinished.

Several costumes I've purchased or bought look bad on female characters. Stuff like gaps in the armor so the knee pads, hips, and shoulders are floating several inches off my character's body. Or the weird squished, flat, distorted chest look that some armors have. Looks like male armor that someone just stretched the texture of the chest out a little and the waist in a bit rather than having to create an actual female version.

And to top it all off, I convinced my boyfriend to give the game another chance too. Well, he has it on xbox one, so you can imagine how that went. I felt embarrassed at the state of unplayable it was on xbox. I found myself saying, "it's not this bad on PC!" constantly.

All this has happened to me and I only play a few hours a day. I can't imagine how bad it is for more hardcore players.

Edit: oh, yeah. I forgot to mention the time I had to uninstall and re-download the entire game after a patch. -_-

I had 70 fps ish average, even with streaming before on a 4 year old computer. Took a long break when CP launched.. Came back after half a year, my fps was cut in half and my game stuttered and froze ever 3 seconds. And yeah the endless loading screens that is still in the game today.

Bought new computer, gtx1070 with an overclocked i5. Super excited to run ESO without performance issues. I run battlefield 4 with 150 fps on ultra. In ESO I drop all the way down to 17 fps in PvP and 25 in trials.

It is getting on my nerves. I love the game, but the perfomance is worse every single patch. And now the group bugs

Agree with OP, FIX IT. I wanna enjoy it even more!

Best bet at this point is to just switch to a different game, it's highly unlikely that the biggest problems will be fixed, not in a timely manner at least. Instead we'll just get hand fed new dungeons from time to time and Zeni will just hope that we don't notice that there isn't actually much improvement going on.

Right now it's an "internal server error" that won't give me the crowns I purchased and won't let me log in again after seeing if that would update my crown total.

Been playing other games for a couple months now.

It is sad that ESO is in this state.

I log once a week to check it out.

Nothing has improved.

I really really hope they get this figured out. Maybe hire on some engineers by temporary contract if that's what it takes. It sucks that we the players can't see a company's process, so we're just left in the dark wondering if they are ever going to fix it.

Are the cosmetic items I bought from the crown store ever going to be worth it, or are they going to continue to be disappointing forever?

Fix my cat and outfits. I know they're not game breaking, but I spent my hard earned money on them.


Oh yeah, I thought of another one. This one seriously needs fixing. Sorcerer pets will often get stuck around corners or on boxes or whatever, but they'll still aggro enemies. Since the enemies can't reach their target, they become unkillable and reset, even if I'm standing right on top of them. So frustrating when it's a harder enemy or a group and I basically have to kill them four times before my stupid pet becomes unstuck!

It's not easy to unsummon pets on a controller either. I'm tempted to just drop my pet off my second bar so I can switch weapons whenever it gets stuck, but then I might as well just stop using a pet all together.

Console players need to stop the money train through the crown store and eso plus, otherwise this will just be accepted as the norm glossed over by hype-train dlc's and dress-up cash shop content.

Granted any mmo player would understand growing pains after a initial dlc/xpac release...but a company also needs to realize when they have failed at a project also.

and I'm reading/hearing this has been like this since dark brotherhood dlc? Unacceptable. I rather they just remove that whole update from consoles.

Mmmm...nothing like missing the 16k O-tick at Nikel last night cuz I got dumped to login screen when I flipped blue.
I suppose that I should be merely satisfied that the nearly two hours I spent (interrupted only by 1 game crash due to bug, a logout/login after 5 minute load screen on port between keeps, a 2+ minute port between keeps, and the oops...no frickin clue dump you out of port after 3+ minutes of loading screen into Wayrest and oh btw...u are now 21st in Q for a pop-locked PvP server (10+ minutes later was finally back in Cyro with my group) was our faction actually prevailed.

Yeah, I'm a little scared they're going to lose me for good with the new console update this coming week. I want to stay playing this game but it's just getting more and more ridiculous.

Reinstate Direct X 9 Support.

I guarentee it would be more stable than the current render engine.

PS4 is total rubbish right now. Lag, lag and more lag. NPC's lag, PvP is completely unplayable. Framerate drop, loading screens, more loading screens. UI bugs, disconnects, slow responding guild traders, just to name a few. Yea I'm no longer subbing for this total disregard for the players. This is just unacceptable ZOS.

Nothing to add really. ESO always seemed a bit like Frankenstein's monster, stitched together with stuff constantly breaking on one end or another, and Zenimax blindly doctoring around. However, before B2P the game got really better and things seemed to work. I had to stop playing for 7 months (a new addition to the family :-)) and started again after the DB DLC dropped. At first I thought that in my time away ESO was updated or reworked or something because my PC seemed to be incapable of running it properly. Lag everywhere, crashes, disconnects, slow loading assets (I hate seeing players as mere shadows when porting to a new location, never even had that in BETA), loading-screen-of-death ... the whole game seems to be more broken than right after beta?!?!? I'm not even talking about weird things like when I wasn't able to delete my ingame mails two days ago. I love the game but I think I will go back to Star Wars or The Divison for now until they fix some stuff.

Yep, if Zeni isn't going to do anything / or sometimes even acknowledge that there is a problem, then I'm just going back to SWTOR or something, at least that game works.

Not to dampen spirits or discourage people from voicing their frustration, but as a reality check. Either you think ZOS is doing everything it can and that their best is more or less good enough, or you don't/it isn't. The forums are primarily for chatting/connecting, sharing ideas, bug reporting, and venting. The venting is well and good and has sometimes been helpful on specific issues, but, accept that general complaints about quality or harping on performance doesn't cause major panic at the ZOS studios.

In other words, say what you need to say as loud or as as often as you want but without any particular expectation of a response from the company.
