FIX THE GAME, ZOS!

I do feel like we need to pull our subscriptions because money talks but it won't make much of a difference if only a handful of us do it. People are passionate about this game, I was so excited about it after getting hooked on Elder Scrolls with Morrowind but it's just frustrating trying to play the game now. There are certain things we know to expect with online games but this is just getting out of hand when the game crashes constantly and skills/abilities don't work as they should, etc., when customer service is "too busy" to help you out. Yet, here we are, second day with this thread and not a single peep out of any dev or community manager on any of the issues we're venting about.

People have said that, too. About unsubbing when it was sub-only. About ditching ESO+ after the game went B2P. Never worked. ZOS sees threads like this as a way for customers to vent. You won't get enough people to stop buying the game, dropping ESO+, or boycotting the Crown Store to make a difference. This is how ESO/ZOS has been all along. They are happy with their product overall, make good sales, and even started getting decent press.

If the way they operate isn't good enough for you, just understand it isn't going to change. They are what they are, and claim to be doing the best they can. This is it. Problems will get fixed on the same schedule they always have. It isn't going to suddenly be a case where customer service, communication with the players, and bug fixes suddenly become improved to another entirely different level of quality. Like it or not (and many players like it/love it), what you see is what you will continue to get.

This is where I am at. I stopped playing ESO and started playing a few other MMOs because they..... to put it simply..... WORK!
I became sooooooo frustrated with Cyrodiil and IC being laggy, unchecked cheats and exploits, gap closer lockdowns that freeze your character, and the list goes on. At least in games like WoW the PvP works. When I fire off an ability it does what it is suppose to and without lag.

The problem again isnt their ability to balance or fix things, its more of their break neck DLC release schedule IMHO..... A new one what, every quarter? You dont have the time to test ANYTHING, be it PTR or internally testing it, it will eventually cause the entire game to crash.

Slow down on the DLC release, do bigger ones less frequently, and allow your developers to actually test your content @ZOS. This isnt a single player RPG, you dont need to put out a crap ton of smaller DLCs just to make your players happy. You'd be surprised just by releasing a good quality DLC how loyal your player base could be. Just don't go down the WoW route and actually support your content

Exactly. ZOS have operated this way since the beginning, but people keep throwing money at them despite this, so of course they will continue to operate this way. It's not rocket surgery.

For me, dropping my sub is not about "sending a message." I'm too small of a blip on the radar screen to get ZOS' attention (and the copy/paste reply from support confirmed that for me). Dropping my sub is about me. I refuse to spend money on a defective product. It may not be defective for everybody, but I feel like I bought a lemon.

Honestly? I'm just counting how many Dlc it will take until the game is finally completely and utterly unplayable. DB is already doing a great job of doing so, and it's only the matter of time before the game finally blows up in Zos's face.

They can use that smoke and mirror trick for so long, and players have had enough, especially with all the PR stunt going on. I promise you guys, if you think Dark brotherhood gave us horrible lag and all that, we haven't seen the worse of it yet.

I think you're right... wait until One Tamriel "hits the stands". If they don't fix the base game issues, it's going to be completely unplayable.

ZOS is not the parent company. Zenimax Media is the parent company. Zenimax Online Studios was created to make ESO. ZOS is just a subsidiary of Zenimax Media and they are supported by Bethesda

I think you're right... wait until One Tamriel "hits the stands". If they don't fix the base game issues, it's going to be completely unplayable.

Will be interesting to see how the game performs in Japan after their launch. It almost seems like they are just trying to get it out in as many areas and as many platforms as possible to get that initial $$ before everyone realizes how much "fixen" the game needs!

I've filled out tickets, complained on the forums, sent in my XBOX console ID, crashed endlessly, and finally, just now, terminated my ESO+ subscription. I do hope that they sort out all the issues, but I cannot in good conscience continue to pay this company for a reliable service that it seems they will never provide.

Look at WOW and tell me I shouldn't be. I left that game a while ago because it was time consuming, not because of the game.

Now I pay ESO $15 a month for crap service, zero answers and no help when it's needed. Meanwhile, they keep throwing stuff to add to a broken game.

I have played this game since launch on the x1. Hundreds and hundreds of hours. Never seen one gamemaster nor have I heard anyone else mention that they have seen a gamemaster online.

The crashes and disconnects are (in most cases) not due to some ones specs on their rig. In many cases it is the result of ZOS server response or bad coding. In many cases it is a result of Cyrodiil or IC play. If you are a casual player that just explores the PvE world without venturing into Trials or PvP you will not notice some of the issues... that said I have had friends in my gaming group that have reported horrible lag and latency issues since DB even while fishing.

All I'm hearing right now from friends is about the ESOplus subscription not working. I've been off the game for a few days and I'm afraid that I'll be a victim of the same problem when I get back on. People call ZOS, they're told to call Xbox who tells them it's a ZOS problem and to call them... Yep, this is what we're paying for folks with our ESOplus subscription.

Have zos not replied to any of this yet? This is the latest I've played this game on a Friday and it's getting stupid. Took me 7 pages to get out of Hews Bane, 4 from Shatul to Writ drop off and 3 to get back. Is this meant to be fun zos? Going out to get drunk for the night now, screw this shite.

Nope, they will leave it until we get fed up posting and the thread works its way down the forum list. See the broken speed movement thread as an example. Until people starting voting with their wallets and withholding purchases and subs, nothing will change.
