I may have missed parts of ESO Plus from being on an airplane but did I hear and see right that ESO plus is required or crown store purchased dyes that rotate on and off the store @ZOS_JessicaFolsom

What happened to Matt F no sub required statements with ESO plus?
Crafting bags and now this.....when are you going to fix ESO plus for Xbox one.

If you have a sub, it works exactly like armor dyeing works currently.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

I already started to sub for the crafting bag. It's a must have for me since i only play one character. I'm happy we can fully customize the dyes of our costumes with ESO+. The color palette tokens made my heart drop until they revealed the ESO+ full customization. Thanks you Zos.

Overall the update looks amazing. This MMO is still young! It will be great once it gets going. I can't wait for the pts notes, the racial balance is gonna be neat.

No one is expecting anything for free, but why do you believe it's O K to be required to subscribe (when it doesn't even work and ZOS won't/can't fix it on Xbox One?) for costumes when armor is free?

As much as I understand your point and frustration, the sub is purely optional. I believe it's right to reward those who pay monthly, for however long. Plus, they are purely cosmetic and have no bearing on gameplay

@Cazzy and Everyone Else (not to be taken as yelling)

In context this is specific to Xbox One ESO Plus still not working and Matt F saying ESO Plus wouldn't be required for future game updates. It actually does have game bearing as the dyes are unlocked by in-game achievements but now these are locking out customers only to require a sub.

That's going back on their word

Honestly, I don't think the game should be subscription-free. Free to play games attract the worst type of players.

I don't think people realize that ESO Plus was supposed to be something that provided ACTUAL benefits to players that made it a tempting loyalty subscription from the time it was conceived, but it never did that until after Dark Brotherhood came out.

In all honesty, 10% Extra Gold, Inspiration, Experience Points as well as access to all DLC was just not worth the monthly price before imho. The only people that were subbed, including myself, were subbed because we got Crowns out of it, and it pays to still be a loyal sub for a game that you like (when it works, that is) to support the dev team to continue making it better.

Now, the ability to have a Craft Bag to store all of you crafting materials automatically as well as Dye Costumes & Hats from your Collectibles menu freely from a Dye Station as an ESO Plus sub is all easily summed up as simply being a measure of providing even more convenience to loyal subs of the game. You know...the people actually paying for the game and supporting the devs to keep working on it and improving on it more?

I don't like putting things bluntly, but when we pay for a sub to a game that isn't necessary to sub to, we do expect benefits to be earned from it. It is extremely tempting for people to get a sub for ESO Plus for the convenience it offers throughout the whole game, and that's how it should be. It's not pay-to-win either. You can perfectly get by in this game without a subscription. The sub is just to make things more convenient for players so that they can get access to all of the content the game has to offer without having to devote time to resource management as much.

I really don't see the issue with that. People were responding very well on stream when we saw that we could still access Dye Stations to dye Costumes and Hats with the dyes we have already unlocked as ESO Plus subs.

These features when released in conjunction with DLC should be provided to people who buy the DLC. I paid for the game and bought all of the DLC which was about the same or more then paying for six months. Is my contribution not enough?

It wasn't my decision to put payments to ZOS dependent on delivery of more content for me.

I can see not handing out the feature to people who didn't buy the DLC but both forms of payments should be treated equally.

I don't see an issue with this.... Subs get a cosmetic perk to encourage more sales & a consistent revenue stream which is what ZoS needs to be able to forecast to shareholders etc and continue development...

Those who don't wish to or can't sub have access to one off purchases in the crown store.

Its available to all.... which is what people asked for when crafting bags were introduced! Just a little more flexible for subs, to encourage them to be bought... as it should be.

Couldn't agree more. They have a staff of artists, testers, developers, community managers, programers, writers, designers etc etc. Working on this game full time to create new content. And people think that should all just be free or a one time fee. What universe do these people come from?

You are repeating yourself. You went full complain mode about the crafting bags and you do the same with the dyes now. Get over it, just because the game is buy to play it won't mean that you are entitled to everything.
The dyes are a cosmetical thing, your game experience is hardly affected by that.
I don't see anything wrong with a business trying to make money. Actually a good idea and certainly another great incentive to sub. Which is exactly what they should have done over a year ago. Create value for subbing.

They are still following the "No sub required" model. Last I checked you don't need to be able to dye costumes to play the game. You aren't gaining a disadvantage for not being able to change the costumes colors. So stop saying things like "I thought this game was supposed to be no subscription required" because it makes you look like a fool because the game still follows that model.

The easiest way to get around that would be to release the base game update, then the expansion a month later. TBH, I'd be fine with that because it'll make troubleshooting a lot easier when the inevitable new bugs arise.

No weapon dying!!! :( WHY is this such a big deal for them to implement. They said they've had "many heated discussions" about this... why the heat?!? PLAYERS WANT IT... just because some staff at ZOS doesn't, doesn't mean it shouldn't be implemented. Since when does what ZOS want override what the MAJORITY of paying players want?!? Why is ZOS being so stubborn about this? Let players 'play how they want'!!
