I love that so many well known players are using this exploit. Now that they have outed themselves as cheaters, their entire legacy and the legacies of their guilds can be put into question.

Once a cheater always a cheater. I feel sorry for the people that used to run with these guys. They might be collateral damage even if they never cheated.

At least now the community can stop pretending a lot of these guys are actually skilled. They just cheated under cover and now they are bored and showing everyone how they got so far in this game.

All ESO guilds need to take a zero tolerance policy towards cheating of all kinds.

What are you referring to with Overload? That it has a third bar or something else? If that's what you're complaining about, it's intended and not a bug or exploit.

Ehhh ... animation cancelling can be done to a stupid extent with just a programmable mouse - lag permitting. That's fully allowed, though silly. The few times I watch videos of people performing exceptionally well, their ping and FPS are multiples of what I normally play with, so it's not farfetched for me to see them able to react to things quicker than I'd expect. Dodging is also incredibly easy to pull off, particularly with that old tap shift before dodge roll exploit. I'm sure there are people out there running this to tweak their stats and flying under the radar, but I don't think it's appropriate to chicken little it. Permaban the people blatantly abusing this, and install a protection system on ZOS' side to eliminate the issue altogether. Our community was already rampant enough with the accusations of exploiting whenever someone died, we don't need more.

I seriously hope that Zenimax has a system in place or logs to look at to be able to detect and identify each individual who took part of this and installed the third party programs and take serious action toward them by permanently banning their account.

The thing that immediately came to my mind is the guys who are dodge rolling around rocks / trees while pumping out stam based heals non stop. Always felt wrong - they usually died to 3-4 DPS in the end anway it was basically land 1 CC and bam dead - but yeah the bottom line here is that there are a ton of things these jagoffs could be doing with this program. And the idea that there are "smart cheats" is not beyond the realm of reality - using the program for 25% advantage and then 1v3'ing people who are playing legit would not seem too hard based on the other things I have seen in videos and first hand in game.

The ones ashamed - should be ZOS. The players doing it are shameful and certainly this type of advantage is not needed. However, in the end, the company should be all over this. If someone were using this in PvE it would be fixed already heh.

They are removing it because as long as its there its a constant reminder that their game has been hacked. Its bad PR for them. So they use the "name and shame" rule to remove these hoping to slow down the negativity over the whole issue.

Oh man...when I first read this I thought it was the same old lag bug that allows me to get two or sometimes three remembrance off within 8 seconds...this...is being done in a seemingly lag free environment. Wow...im ashamed for anyone doing this briefing...although I must say that it looks badass from a distance, like a meteor shower!

Actually the animation cancelling done to a stupid extent with just a programmable mouse is exploiting...

But for the rest of it... I don't know the extent of how things are being abused, I only know whispers that rarely trust me enough to tell me it all.

I can tell you one thing though... my spider sense tingles when I see certain players in combat and what they "accomplish". You can say I'm just some anonymous forum poster making baseless accusations, and you wouldn't be wrong. But... I'm probably right and the rabbit hole goes deeper than you imagine.

ZOS has never really done squat about all the cheating, and that's why we are here where we are today.

ZOS is aware, and the people you're calling out have made them aware in the past. It's just not good form to publish hacks and exploits (and against the TOS). However, I believe there's a point where if something becomes as widespread as it seemingly is right now that it's ok to be vocal about it.

Exactly. ZOS have known about this all along, and because they've done nothing about it this is what has happened. Don't blame the players for exploiting it, ZOS are basically saying it's fine to do it seeing as they've done nothing about it for so long.

This happened precisely because of players spreading the knowledge and encouraging it. ZOS never said it was ok, or that you wouldn't be banned for it. You don't know what actions ZOS has taken regarding hackers/exploiters because they don't tell you about it. The only thing ZOS is guilty of is preventing use of the program for so long, but again that's not to say they haven't done anything. It's entirely on the players. Every one of us has the option to do what you know is the right thing to do.

It's been around forever. They literally have 0 protection against this and it's been going on for just as long, just people actually cared and made sure they didn't make it obvious when they were exploiting (apart from speed hacks, pretty difficult to hide that). I mean Jagex (who are a terrible company btw) run a terrible MMO called Runescape and even they have protection against Cheat Engine with far less money, resources and staff.

Blame the players all you want... ZOS brought it upon themselves.

I don't have a way of stopping someone from shooting me. That doesn't mean if I get shot, I brought it upon myself. The person with the gun is at fault. ZOS should be preventing this because they are capable of doing it (hopefully), but that doesn't mean they're at fault for the actions of certain players or that they somehow deserved it. Get real man.

Overload costs 22 ultimate instead of the intended 64 Ult. Its been like that for a loooooong while.

However the Overload bug hes referring to was the one where ppl could slot abilities on that 3rd bar, and still have the effects of them even when they werent in Overload mode (inner light extra crit, bound aegis extra max magicka).

I've been told from multiple sources that top guilds use the vMA leaderboards to recruit for their trial/pvp groups. I've also been told from multiple sources that some of the people who are top on the vMA leaderboards achieved that by using this same hack. Therefore, most of the top guilds that can pull 45k+ dps are cheating? Wtf? I've always wondering how people pulled 46k magicka, 19k health, 4k spell dmg, 3k recovery, AND 75% crit all at the same time. I have mostly best in slot and my stats don't even compare to that. So now we're learning that the current dps and play standards set by this elite little group of cheaters is just a giant lie? You've got to be *** kidding me.

This is the first post I have ever made in these forums in the two years i have been playing ESO. I have been in ESO since closed beta. I am totally disgusted and dismayed at the cheating I am seeing. But i believe the purpose of these videos and posts are not to shame or call out certain players, guilds, or alliances, but to get your attention in order that you FIX THIS UNDERLYING ISSUE WHICH ALLOWS SUCH HACKS TO BE POSSIBLE.

Right now there is a 3rd party program which is enabling people to write and implement scripts which actually modify the way the game works. I have seen players from EVERY ALLIANCE use this type of hack. You as a company must be aware of these hacks due to posts and videos like this one. Unless you completely fix the issue in your code, the game will not be playable from anyone's standpoint. Anybody in your raid could be cheating and you dont know it, any one of the enemies could be cheating and you dont know it, only the people who are SPAMMING ultimates or gratuitously speed hacking are even noticeable. There could be many many other players who are using the ultimate spamming cheat less noticeably AND/OR scripts they have written themselves which modify other aspects of the game.

The "cheaters" right now have faithfully undermined every possible ounce of satisfaction legitimate players get from trying hard and dedicating time an energy to this game. I recently got EMP and Grand Overlord and it hurts me so much to have my achievement lessened by the people who are cheating. My good friends work incredibly hard to do PVE achievements such as Malestrom Arena or Dragonstar and these cheaters have ruined the PVE leaderboards.

The bottom line is the integrity of the entire game is ruined for everybody right now, because anyone using hacks has an unfair advantage if they are spamming it or not. What does the competition and community mean when some people have a win button?? The death of an MMO is when people dont want to play it anymore, and the more hacks and exploits tolerated by game makers the less new people will want to buy the game because its reputation as a fair system has been destroyed.

If you want players to keep paying you subscription fees and you want new customers you have to maintain a game that people have positive things to say about. Besides the lag and the issues I have experienced in the last two years, nothing has made me ever want to give up on the beautiful game you have created, except now. I cannot be a part of a game that allows cheating. Many Many Many other people feel this way and these people will make posts, put up videos, and spread the word until nobody will ever want to try this game because it is quote "filled with hacks and exploits and impossible for new players to play".
