What are the chances of seeing some sort of reply after the investigation with a report of action taken (not name and shamed just an idea of whether its something which is actually enforced). Things like this seriously discredit the game and generally the lack of information furthers the problem. Thanks.

Jessica. I know its standard procedure for ZOS in these situations to go dark regarding results of actions against players, but in this case, because your game is currently vulnerable to an easily configured and readily available third party program...

You need to make a statement to the community, stickied and visible to all, that anyone using this is going to be permabanned, and put some fear into the hearts of the people who will see a slap on the wrist behind closed doors response, and say "hey i can get away with it"

You gotta do this, because its already spreading like wildfire in Cyrodiil, and examples need to be made to curb it until your engineering/programming team can secure the client vs the hack itself.

Yeah we had to wait for the council to log in so the kick was later than Id like, but we just did it about 10 mins ago. Sad day, I love the guy, but this is over the top and we dont tolerate cheating.

If it had been up to me, B wouldnt have been in GoS. I wasnt an officer there. But in DR, I can do what needs done.

Also, in the mirror i see a guy whos never cheated, so my conscience is clear. I might be a complete jerk and a forum trashtalker/troll that a lot dont care for, but aint no one gonna say I cheat. Know what im saying.

Eh you have to admit that there is a distinct difference between what's currently the topic and most of what you listed.

I used 4 of the 5 things you said and if you knew who I was you probably wouldn't call me a cheater, because I really aren't one. Those are mostly things that are broken in game and while it's considered exploiting it's not nearly in the realm of this crap, once stuff reaches a critical mass of being used I will use it too. Using hacks though.... memory editting, I would never EVER go that far. Though I did in Diablo!!!!

This happened precisely because of players spreading the knowledge and encouraging it. ZOS never said it was ok, or that you wouldn't be banned for it. You don't know what actions ZOS has taken regarding hackers/exploiters because they don't tell you about it. The only thing ZOS is guilty of is preventing use of the program for so long, but again that's not to say they haven't done anything. It's entirely on the players. Every one of us has the option to do what you know is the right thing to do.

I also want to say thank you for responding and not removing the thread. I think it's something the players have a right to discuss including naming and shaming.

This is so stupid that we are even dealing with this, I fought the EP group last night doing it, we all know it sucks. The worst part though is that we have been losing so many great players in the pvp community this patch and tbh I don't even want to log in to NA at this point. It's unfortunate that a failed, half rate zerglord and his cronies can get away with this basically because ZOS can't figure out how to know when someone is doing it. I personally don't care about vMA people have been account sharing to do runs for awhile it's whatever, the leaderboards have always been kind of a joke because of that...but this is truly game breaking.

What are you referring to with Overload? That it has a third bar or something else? If that's what you're complaining about, it's intended and not a bug or exploit.

What are you referring to with Overload? That it has a third bar or something else? If that's what you're complaining about, it's intended and not a bug or exploit.

He's referring to the bug where you put inner light on the overload bar only and it stayed up on all bars if you switched quick enough.

The current sorc with 6 pets or more commonly 2 imps is being done in exactly the same way by abusing the overload bar.

It's been around forever. They literally have 0 protection against this and it's been going on for just as long, just people actually cared and made sure they didn't make it obvious when they were exploiting (apart from speed hacks, pretty difficult to hide that). I mean Jagex (who are a terrible company btw) run a terrible MMO called Runescape and even they have protection against Cheat Engine with far less money, resources and staff.

Blame the players all you want... ZOS brought it upon themselves.

We didn't even really start guild event today, think the called it after 10 min. This is poop and should be punished hard. I am not going to PvP until this is gone and I am personally disappointed in some people using this.
And @Rylana I agree with your guild politics of kicking that someone without questions asked. I would do the same.

Don't sound so confident if you don't know what the exploit is. It allowed you to have inner light and bound armor on your overload bar and only your overload bar and still have the effects active. This enabled the sorc to have extra skill slots free when otherwise they would have lost 4 having those two skills on both bars.

Old inner light, not the current inner light.

The old exploit was that if you put inner light on your overload bar clicked it (it was a toggle) and then bar switched immediately and used the same slot ability the toggle would stay up and you would be running inner light on your two main bars without inner light being on them.

There may be different tiers of methods, but the results are the same: an unfair advantage to the cheater. What's the practical difference between having unlimited sustain because of shift-dodge rolls and hacking memory to improve regen?

From the POV of those the cheater is competing against, it's exactly the same.

To me, it only becomes grey when bugs may be unknowingly exploited through normal gameplay or when a core function is bugged in a way that is practically unavoidable.

DR is as honest a guild you'll find in ESO. I'm not surprised their leadership acted quickly here.
