ZoS, you are the problem. You remove tools like this and many others that have existed (such as the GroupDamage addon) which helped players improve themselves.. by denying the player a way to practice and learn you make terrible players who cannot finish dungeons which then leads you (ZoS) to nerf the dungeons. By not providing the players with needed tools you cause this never ending downward spiral.

I don't understand the reason for this outburst. PC has adding to tell you your dps, and console does not. So it's useless for both pc and console. Perhaps a damage recap you can access in the menus will allow you to calculate your dps better. From what I've seen pc has this. It would be superior to damage numbers anyway.

Thread seems pointless. So does trying to rally a petition over a useless npc when there are actual legitimate concerns. Guess I'm just weird like that.

It is absolutely not pointless this npc allowed us to test and perfect our rotations solo over significantly longer times than what is capable with say running into spindle and nuking the bloodspawn down over 20 seconds and does not require a group to do so and if you have ever stepped foot in VMOL you would know that boss fights generally last well over five minutes. Nothing else in this game comes close to the sustainable dps test on those bosses. Maybe to you this is useless however for pretty much 99% of the people that have commented on this thread or anyone running end game trials this is not.

Here is a possible reason ZOS is removing... Ninglenel is a QUEST NPC, players that are using him as a test dummy may be preventing other players from completing their quests. I don't know exactly how these quest NPCs work or how the coding works, and whether such things could interfere with another player's quest completion.

Ninglanel appears in Rivenspire after completing a quest involving him in Grahtwood. As it is: Non-Vet rank players cannot even see this NPC, and he does NOTHING in his current state. He sits there with Eat-Eat, plain and simple. Until they can add a replacement they shouldn't remove the ONLY viable method in the ENTIRE game of testing your rotation. The dps testing is inaccurate absolutely, he's a low level npc with *** armor, but it helps players to test out rotations and have a source of information they can compare things with. If you pull 20k dps on him with 1 setup, 25k with another without the addition of anything external, it's a good way to see what works and what doesn't without outlying factors.

Ninglanel needs to stay, or you need to have a dummy by DB @ZOS_GinaBruno , plain and simple, if you remove this feature, your team is once again going to absolutely let down a huge group of people. Everyone who does progression raiding in this game uses this, it's a target dummy, something that has been needed since release.

Weird, I thought people were replying because it's a deltia thread. Or maybe this npc is more of a PC thing. If I want to test sustainable dps I'll go do some vmsa >.> Even if I'm wrong, and this is hugely popular on PC and everyone is doing it (I don't play pc, but I still doubt there's a long line of traffic to come kill this guy for a few minutes). Why should anyone, including myself stop what we're doing and give a crap when there's more important issues on hand. Like.. Fixing maelstrom lag. Unless you have a combat log attacking this guy does nothing in the way of helping you dps other than rotation practice. <~ and those opportunities aren't exceedingly absent from this game.

Negative, we are replying because as stated this NPC allows us to test single target dps rotations over time in a way that cannot be done anywhere else in the game. Burning a VMSA boss down in 30 seconds is not even close to the utility a dps dummy can provide.

    1. vMSA as dps test? really lol?
    2. "long line of traffic to kill this guys" - no, he's unkillable and that's what makes him such a useful tool, can have several people beating on him infinitely.
    3. More important issues at hand? could be, but this is a very important endgame tool (obviously you're not much of an endgame PvE player hence finding it difficult to understand) but what's actually outrageous is that they invested resources (however small of an amount) to remove this tool that so many of us love instead of giving us a better alternative first
    4. "not helping your dps other than rotation pratice" - lol? this pretty much has the largest impact on DPS, with a bad rotation you can literally pull half or less of the dps than someone with the exact same gear and setup who has a good rotation.

It is kinda funny that any mob over the time that has been unkillable and could be used as test dummy has been fixed or removed faster than anything. Wish they would be as determined on fixing some real issues as they are fixing these unkillable mobs. These kind of things should be far back in the backlog to fix instead of jump into top priority.

I'm a ps4 player, everyone I know uses vmsa as a gauge of sustain, and bloods pawn for dps. I've done everything but vet maw with competative leaderboard scores. :/

No. Reason being is we want them to focus on player housing, which will (confirmed?) have combat dummies in them.

This game is almost 3 years old, they haven implemented basic things like training dummies or a way to change my characters face. It's pretty unacceptable.

Now there is a bug in the game that still gives us something we need and they want to remove it. Pathetic.

Yes, Ninglenel is a bug that needs to be fixed. ... All we're asking is for them to temporarily "unfix" this bug and hold off on fixing this bug until Player Housing is released.

The crux here is that we don't want to go for months without a tool as useful as this.

Not sure what's so difficult to understand about it. Many people have wanted a test dummy to test out DPS rotations so they can improve their game. I'm sorry you are struggling to understand. Hopefully that will help.

Who knew ESO had a training dummy? I didn't until recently, only to find out it's being removed from the game (stealth like).

I find this completely unacceptable and want everyone to band together and let ZOS know we want change.

    MY IMMERSION

While I respect people's willingness to play solo and enjoy their game, it shouldn't come at the cost of other people's fun and enjoyment either. Some people like me and many others LOVE testing DPS. I'm not the best at it nor anywhere close but constantly seeking improvement in this game combats is what keeps me coming back, its definitely not Cyrodiil lag.

PLEASE if you agree with this, leave a comment even /sign, share on Facebook, Twitter, the public bathroom at Seven Eleven anywhere. We need either this back in the game or an alternative solution for solo DPS testing.

I'm tired of dragging 3 friends to Blood Spawn for hours at a time, help me ZOS you're my only hope.

(PS I'm willing to pay crowns for this time of thing in game, I don't care just give me something similar or put it back)

Although it would be useful to keep him in his immortal self-state, (I have enjoyed many a pleasant evening chewing the fat with him and then hammering at him until my fingers are raw) it is an obvious bug and he was never intended to be an "attackable" NPC. I will miss him (and his little dog too).

I suspect by your recent mentioning of this is that you have only just discovered this in the game (as you always go to Blood Spawn or the Croc in Wayrest). You better make quick use of it for you various build videos before he is allowed to live the rest of his life in peace.
