Seriously, Friday night prime time for most console gamers is tonight and tomorrow... Why do you need to apply this maintenance now ? Why can you not wait until say 6AM or even better a Sunday/Monday ? Why ? Please zos... Can you just please think sensibly or are we beyond that at this point ?

"The players" were also abusing the exploit. It's not happening because they decided Friday afternoon was a good time, it's happening because they want it fixed NOW. And so should you.

Spend the time learning to read please. As others have said, it was not scheduled.. it is to fix an exploit.

Agreed, I have zero problems with them bringing servers down to fix game breaking exploits. Wish it was done more frequently for other pressing issues, but hey... xD

They can do it better. Disable all trading until prime time is over and then take it down for fixing.

There is no good time to do the maintenance, whenever they did it, someone, somewhere would be QQing on the forums about it, so they might as well do maintenace now. BTW, postponing the hotfix for another 9 hours would pretty much put it in the middle of the Aussies primetime.

The totally poor judgement when it comes to timing server shutdown/hotfix aside - one forum thread about it should definately be enough, must agree.

Sooo battle spirit will no longer work due to a bug that hasn't even went live yet....
In other words they couldn't be ****** stopping the servers to fix this major screw up on their part buttttt as soon as players can earn a little bit extra income, this happens ov course, who would have known

If you can't figure out why stacking a limitless supply of top tier mats, and what you can get for refining said mats, would break the economy and be and overall terrible thing in general, I cannot help you. You're either new to mmo gaming or too young to understand basic supply and demand principles, as well as the affects exploits like these have on a fragile gaming economy systems.

well, it has been stated (by @ZOS_GinaBruno) that they have data about all exploiters and will take action. there were many other ways to handle this and patch it later. they simply don't want to, and not because they couldn't handle it otherwise. at least not according to her statement. No other company would simply **** on their customers in other time zones unless not avoidable. and the downtime during prime time was avoidable.

If you take a look at all the bugs currently in game and other game breaking exploits / bugs fixed earlier, you will realize that they normally don't care. and to be honest, the other bugs / exploits were worse.

This, of course in my opinion, simply looks like they don't care about their non US player base at all.
