They made this game ridiculously easy in the months just before and after launch that leveling became a boring grind with no challenge.

PS. For everyone saying, "I'm just here because there's nothing better out" *cough* Black Desert Online *cough*.

This is why most MMOs recently (past 5 years) have been nothing but mediocre. They are all too easy to level through quickly, and then people complain about having nothing to do because they hit level cap in a couple weeks and all the best gear was thrown at them.

    this is so true

I've played 2098 hours on my 1 sorc. and I can say I would not buy another Zos game. I want to pvp and that simply isn't an option. Bugs take way to long to fix, and im sick and tired of having to compensate for the server...which kills my immersion. I have to slot different skills when the server starts lagging. I have to remove interrupts from my bar because the vma arena 7 boss is bugs out and kills you if you don't. I've fallen through the earth idk how many times, and the game just simply feels unfinished. and that is unlikly to ever change.

The fact is wherever your at... if it's end game it is broken somewhere some how. I don't understand why.

I don't think they've done terribly with this game as I enjoy it quite a bit, and even if they're not the best company in the world we don't always know what's going on behind the curtains, and we've seen worse from other companies.

I think they cocked this one up, it's too many things in one and too many things to maintain but their combat system is awesome. A fantasy (like ES) MOBA with this combat system would be awesome. A 4v4v4 capture the flag, yes please. Their dungeons are also awesome.

The way this company managed to screw every single aspect of this game, rendering it unplayable and totaly broken is definately the decisive factor for me. If this game was developed by some other company we would probably be talkin about the MMO of the century. But it had to be the incompetent ZOS. After 2 years in beta mode (we are celebrating today with a bugged cake, dont you forget!) this game only has to offer misery, frustration and anger cause it actualy got more bugs than content. Servers are totaly unstable, lag, crashes, disconnects everywhere. pvp is unplayable for that reason. Classes are unbalanced as no other MMO has ever managed. The game suffers from optimization issues. FPS issues. Loading screens issues. "You name it" issues. Everything is broken, seriously, I strongly recomend to anyone who consider himself a dedicated player not to play this one. You gonna be spending alot of time for a game that will never recover from the ultra bad management of ZOS. This game is totaly crown store orriented, the only reason they make new DLCs is so they got a background to sell more pets and mounts through the crown store, cause anyone can clearly see that their DLCs are 3 hours of new content and limitless hours of extreme bugs and lags. I have never ever before experienced such lvls of incompetence by a gaming company. I would never in my life trust these greedy people again in any other future game. And to be honest the only reason I still play this one is because i've invested alot of time so far in it and i'm w8ing for a future title that will catch my attention. As soon as that title appear in the market, I'm out of this shithole for good. Seriously newcomers...leave as far away as you possibly can from this game. Its not worth it. Zenimax is not a good company, they only care about stealing your money through their precious crown store with their unbelievable prices. They sell vanity items in prices of new games..."Best MMO of 2015"...What a [snip] joke. This is insulting to every veteran that really know whats happening ingame. it should be "Worst MMO of 2015". "Investigating, no ETA" the only 2 things you gonna hear them say about every single problem that should already be fixed... hell, comparing to other MMOs these problems should never even exist in the first place. ESO is doom. Stay away from it.
My spider senses tell me that you should probably be playing something else...

As far as what I've bolded from your post: Those items are either patently not true (i.e. you're lying your ass off), or are disproved by millions of people logging in to play every day.

I understand you might be unhappy with the state of the game, but if you're going to try to lie to make a point; at least make sure they are intelligent lies.

Yeah ESO makes me grumble sometimes, but in the end, best PvP experience I've ever had with a game in a genre that I love. You no votes aren't being honest.

Some of us still play for one simple reason....lack of better options. We have played many others, spent our time there, and are done. Some of us are here simply killing time until a better option is released. When that happens, I think you'll see the impact.

This game has amazing potential, but I truly don't think it will ever be completely realized with the current dev team. It seems it's always one step forward, three steps back. When another "successful" MMO is released, we'll see where the rubber meets the road.

I've enjoyed playing ESO, but with a lot of frustration. More than any other MMO, and I started playing MMOs back in March of 1999 when the original Everquest was released, and I've played quite a few of them. So please don't be arrogant enough to presume to say who's not being honest.
    So...

RIFT, FFXIV: ARR, LotRO, SWtOR, GW2... none of those are better options than ESO?

How then can ESO be such a disaster that, not only are you still playing it, but it's still "better" than any other MMO on the market right now?

    The truthful answer is simple.

ESO is one of the best MMO's on the market right now. However; the game has made changes that are not specifically the changes that you might have made, so you're posting out of misplaced frustration.

To be honest my first thought was NO!
When you look at the broader picture thou and the fact they were new when they started ESO, it's not that bad.
A lot of other companies doing MMO's still have game breaking bugs almost weekly and the drivel that's actually being launched these days as "new AAA MMO" then ESO is probably up there with the big boys.
Sure they don't listen....but then since we the players cannot agree with each other, how could they decide who's right??

Being a professional Beta game tester let me tell you, there is nothing on the horizon for the next year or so. The next big MMO will in my view be Virtual reality and then it will also need years to perfect.
God I hope they make Fallout Online a VR game

This is actually a good idea and made me rethink my vote. I do love the combat system in this game and when PvP worked right it was amazing.

If they built a competitive game, I might give it a try. I think a lot of their poor balance and game design decisions with PvP were a result of trying to balance too many interests.

Hell, if they released a competitive Arena PvP update that didn't require me to play ANY of their PvE content, I would purchase it and still play.

I'm just done with their crappy gear treadmill and boring shallow quests and dungeons.

So ya, release a well balanced PvP focused competitive multiplayer game and/or add-on with no gear or leveling requirements outside of that closed system and you'll have my interest.

    Sadly not gonna happen.

My friends and I play MMO's together. We've been playing ESO for about 5 months, and are already tired of the bugs, laggyness of the game in general, devs unable to fix bugs, inability to fix broken mechanics for years, making only male armor wireframes now because its easier to do, devs pretty much patching and balancing once per quarter or less, devs using primary focus to crank out DLCs and crown store items for sale, the list goes on and on and on. I will say that ESO has the best quest lines that I've ever played in MMO's, so kudos to them for that.

You're the very definition of white knight. It's really a maybe, but for now it will looks like it will have to be no because they snuck a few things that can't be discussed on the forums I can't agree on, and they decided to make it politically correct. Legitimate criticisms for the most part are ignored.

And they are willing to sell a buggy DLC when they haven't even fixed the lag issue.

    The truthful answer is simple.

ESO is one of the best MMO's on the market right now. However; the game has made changes that are not specifically the changes that you might have made, so you're posting out of misplaced frustration.

I'm 50 years old. I started playing MMO's 17 years ago in March of 1999 when the original Everquest was released. Even before then, I played Ultima Online for almost a year, so I guess that gives me almost 18 years of MMOing. How long have you been playing MMO's?

    Rift - played it
Dark Age of Camelot - Played it
FFXIV - Dont like the franchise
ARR - Not sure what that is.
LotRO - Played it, but really didnt like the LOTR atmosphere
    SWTOR - Played it
GW2 - Played it, was disappointed with the expansion
Everquest - played it for 6 years
    WoW - Played it
    TERA - Played it
    BDO - Not interested
ArchAge - Messed with it a little, and my buddies and I are actually contemplating going to that now.

    What else you got?

My friends and I play MMO's together. We've been playing ESO for about 5 months, and are already tired of the bugs, laggyness of the game in general, devs unable to fix bugs, inability to fix broken mechanics for years, making only male armor wireframes now because its easier to do, devs pretty much patching and balancing once per quarter or less, devs using primary focus to crank out DLCs and crown store items for sale, the list goes on and on and on. I will say that ESO has the best quest lines that I've ever played in MMO's, so kudos to them for that.

You're the very definition of white knight. No matter what happens, you'll defend it with your dying breath, and tell other players how wrong they are and how they feel, when you have not a clue, and are extremely arrogant to even presume saying such things. You keep saying that I think ESO is the best MMO on the market right now, but I've said no such thing. We've played it heavy for 5 months, and are already getting ready to move on for various reasons stated above. We played GW2 for 2 years. WoW for 6 years. The lesser titles for much less time. If another good AAA MMO had been released sooner, we'd be gone now. We unsubbed from ESO two days ago. No more money for them.

You're arrogant enough to lecture me that my (our) unhappiness is "misplaced frustration". Keep on fighting the good fight Sir Knight. They definitely need players like you.

Damn, you're a true OG (original gamer). It always makes me smile seeing the elders enjoying themselves with games. Especially MMO's and my goodness you have quite the background/resume. Much positivity and respect to you, sir. It's men like you, which make me not feel bad for being as heavy into gaming as I am. I salute you.

Ive played MMOs since Kesami where I had to pay per hour. I beta tested Ultima Online. I was there when Lord British was killed. I love this game. So Im def more of an OG than the guy you quoted so my opinion means more than his right? :)

No, I would not buy another ZOS title.
I find it hard to take someone serious when they on one hand say the game doesnt work and on the other have 8 VR16 AVA lvl 50 characters.

Just out of curiosity... How many crowns are they sliding you on the side? I really gotta know. Because, the way you defend this game's flaws, and ZOS (from what I've seen) is incredible.

I know lots of people who've come to literally HATE this game, and they have 8 VR16 characters as well. And yes, they're at the champion point cap. In fact, I am similar to those people. EXCEPT! I don't exactly "hate" the game. I just hate the direction it's headed in, as well as hate lots of the decisions the developers made.

Would I purchase another ZOS title? No. Absolutely not. I've been playing this game since beta days, and have played it on both PC/Mac and PS4. So yes, I'm a veteran of ESO. And it's taken me quite some time for my eyes to open, and see what what's truly going on. Give it some time, and you too will "get it". You'll understand the feelings of these numerous people who complain day in and day out about ZOS, and the decisions they make. You'll understand the complaints of unbalanced classes, and the struggle that is occurring in PVP, IF you don't understand these things already. It took me years.

I would buy another ZOS title because when ESO came out it was glorious! That shows they are capable of making a great game.

i want to see a poll for "i qq about teso but still play and here is why" i doubt i would buy another game from zos, possible depending on what the theme is i guess. regardless of the company and their shady decision making teso is still one of the better games out in its category right now. <-- good and bad. BUT even with all the flaws, bugs, and indecision/swapping of ideas and employees, as a whole it is still a good game, why else would most of us still be playing it?

i devoted too much time? bull....quit before you devote too much more.

either your too addicted to quit or you still enjoy the game enough to launch it. either way complaining to a corporation that is based around making money (like all businesses) and expecting it to change in your favor is like leaving your head in a toilet and expecting to live without flushing every once in a while. well i guess you could develop gills at some point.
