I personally would not buy another ZOS game in the future. After seeing how they've treated the Elder Scrolls franchise, and treated the concerns of the play base? I can honestly say that I'd rather save my money. It just isn't worth it to me to support a company that doesn't really appear to be caring about my best interests.

They put a bad taste in my mouth the second they announced they were going back on their word and moving forward with a F2P/cash shop model. Since then it's gone about exactly as I expected.

That and the lack of focus on PvP fixes and updates(the whole reason I bought the game), and I just don't have trust in them.

I bought the game because it is Elder Scrolls, and I like the game.

I am not a fan of the studio and I would not buy the game for that reason. They have not proven that they can build, and maintain, a game with a long term commitment. I know they are working on lag, and other bugs, but they behave like a single player game studio that is wrapping up things and cranking out a few DLC before moving on to another project.

If they can demonstrate otherwise, I might change my mind.

I think it is not easy to make a MMO such TESO, and after 2 years, after many nice quests and many epic fights in Cyrodiil, I can say I had a lot of fun, despite of bugs. I'm a TES fan and i was awaiting this game, overall i'm satisfied even if staff's opacity (mostly about the french community, i remind we do not have any CM...) make us feel alone & abandoned sometimes.

It is always a risk when you hop on a new MMO that it will be a hit and run. Them''s the risk you take. Backed by Zenimax Media and Bethesda Softworks, this should be a stable and low risk game. I seriously feel that they would not let it fail, but they may have a different definition of fail.

    So, yeah, fool me once...

I completely agree. It's always a risk. And I definitely think ZOS has a different definition of the word "fail/failure" in mind.

And what's even more disturbing? We the consumers have been trying to assist them, and steer them on the "correct path" (opinionated and subjective)... But, they tend to just disregard a lot of the things which make the most logical sense — and lean more towards the illogical and irrational. Wasn't it the purpose of a PTS to identify certain issues/problems, and test things? Then report feedback to the developers? What good is the point of a PTS, when the versions of the released content is entirely different than that experienced in the PTS? Makes you wonder...

I would depend. I imagine if they DO do another, it would be based on Fallout, which I have never gotten in to and probably wouldn't buy it. BUT, if it was based on a game series that I liked in the first place, I would consider checking it out in MMO form by Zenimax. ESO isn't perfect, and I would change a lot of things myself, but, I realize you can't please everyone, all the time, and, I have spent several entertaining hours playing ESO, and even made a friend or two along the way, so, I think I would at least consider it.

Yes. I think they could trick me into buying another game, if they used some clever tricks. Matt Firor seems to be very good at that, he can e.g. talk about how subs are the way and then flip a switch and announce P2W, without so much as blinking. And I am really vulnerable to such callous, predatory tactics!!!

Though the company was likely established just to make and run ESO, i.e. will disband once it runs out of mounts.

Nope, 2 years of trying to get this game to work on pc and eventually on console, and to this day I still run into problems that prevent me from making any significant progress. There is almost always something going wrong. I moved to console as I believed that maybe it was my pc causing it, but nope getting different but just as game breaking problems continuously happening on console.

So yup I wont be supporting any future endeavors by this company, including any dlc they have yet to launch for ESO.
I think I've shown enough support in the last couple of years by way of subscription and buying the dlc for console., but haven't seen any significant improvement. If anything it feels like it's getting worse.

It is the most impressive game I have ever played.

Based on my experience with TESO since launch thus far: abso-friggin'-lutely I would! B)

Granted, it would depend on the genre and theme of the new MMO, but I'm usually open to most of them anyway.

In fact, with a few tweaks here and there, the TESO engine would work and look great for an MMO like Lost Continents, a pulp-adventure themed MMO that was being developed circa 2000-2001 but was unfortunately shelved by 2002 before it got to see the light of day. :(

While there's plenty to complain about when it comes to ESO, it's not enough for me to swear off the studio entirely. Managing settlers in Fallout 4 sucks hard, but does that mean that I'll never buy another Bethesda title? Of course not.

When I think about how much fun I've had over the last two years in ESO then it seems like an easy decision to drop $60 on the next title from ZOS and at least try it out.

The direction the game is going in depresses me, single player dlc's, the things discussed on eso live, band aid fixes, a rediculous amount of bugs. I want new dungeons and for them to do something with imperial city. I don't even want new dungeons I just want veteran versions of the 7 or so dungeons they have with only a normal mode.

I love it but I hate it at the same time. ZOS is feeding on my addiction.
