@ZOS_JessicaFolsom if you get a chance, could you update this thread on what is going on with the issue? I know it isn't a balance/game play problem, but... it would be nice to see that it is being worked on, especially since as others have indicated the art showing showcased new content of the crown store looks like it is not.

I know a female player I group with would have bought some of the costumes/armor sets except for the fact of the model distortions. So although not a gameplay issue, it might be a financial one.

That's how I feel. I like most of the outfits, and I would buy them if it wasn't for the body distortions :(

Same, I am not happy with it and that is why none of the showcased stuff is interesting to me. It would be, if it would not look all the same on male and females. You can do nice stuff, ZOS, why not doing that for armor as well?- And that freaking nightmother's embrace chest piece is just awful, I wear a costume instead, because I hate to see my character in this crap.

I haven't tried out that many outfits and motives yet, but at the very least the chest plate looks good on the Daggerfall Covenant motif for women, in my opinion. The metal plates on the light armour is a feature/trait/detail on the alliance motives (at least DC), like how Outlaw only has hoods on all heads. I tried to test it out with a few characters of different shapes, and I think it did it well. As a female player, I was really happy that they are working on proper armour plates, and leave the boob plates. As they just recently started with this, I am going to be patient as they see how it works and fix what needs to be fixed; definetely light armour made out of fabric like Trinimac, because even if the fabric wouldn't be skin-tight in the real world, it doesn't look realistically falling anyway. It is rough around the edges and it needs working on, but honestly, just the fact that they aren't 1) boob plates anymore and 2) boob windows or boob socks, I'm willing to be relatively patient, a little depending on how Dark Brotherhood handles it.

Second, I understand wanting to look sexy. I like looking sexy in game, as long as it is my own choice of the matter. There are games that have outfits sensible for men but automatically changes to sexy and revealing for women. In many instances in ESO, I feel they try to keep it alike, and the outfits that ARE revealing are balanced by non-revealing and sensible clothing. So for the new armour costumes (like the Treasure Hunter one) having a flat chest is just good for me, as long as it doesn't look too bad because of build change. What I hope for them is that the costumes will still change depending on the torso/upper body; IIRC, it does so with male characters as well, but keep the plate properly without too much molding. At the same time, make sure arms and torso doesn't change too much.... I feel like I am contradicting myself, hahah.

TL:DR; I like them going the direction of getting rid of boob plates and I like the ratio between sexy and sensible outfits. I hope they can work around the problem with female build and boob plates in the Dark Brotherhood update.

I am with you as far as the Breton medium armor goes for example, but ... it looks good on female characters who do have a normal chest, but not on those with a bigger one, there it bulges out and looks just weird. My females have all just normal sized chests, and so most stuff looks nice on them. Furthermore they are nearly all athletic with wide shoulders and muscular arms and legs (well, archers, to draw a 75 lbs bow requires real strength), because they have to run a lot and stay agile. So my characters do not look typically sexy in an outfit like the bosmer doeskin, but like a female archer.

I repost it again, that you can see, what I mean - this is not a doll and as well not objectified, but it matches her combat style - agile, fast, avoiding direct contact with the enemy and able to outrun those. And this is better done in less clothes.

I like this type of clothes a lot - the pirate outfits - look at how feminine it looks on her, without to be specifically sexy.

But let's keep this discussion where it belongs, the bugged armor affecting mostly female and some male characters with balloon chests, hunched shoulders and distortions. This is the problem we're here to fix, any other gender differences are really outside the power of /bug :)

They didn't remove it yet, they are removing it on May 30th along with lots of other stuff. And they are not even doing a sale like last time they removed things :unamused:
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

The ankle to foot ratio looks very odd. Tiny stick ankles and if her feet matched her legs and ankles (instead of the costume warping them) she'd be wearing giant clogs for boots.

I would buy and hope to buy the Dragonborn outfit, because yes I'm a sucker for costumes, but only if it gets fixed before it goes in the store. Otherwise, pass on both.

Yeah, and the curve is exactly the same as on Trinimac and Mercenary meshes, with the same sticking out polygons.

Ah, I just assumed it was a hardened plate covering the breasts, rendering them sorta shapeless. The dragon priest just looks odd all around to me. Luckily I am not the type of man who rp's female toons, but I can sympathize with my warrior sisters.

No, it looks like cloth or thin leather. There is a metal buckle at the middle of the chest, but I dont think its an excuse for polygon edges sticking out and chars breasts moving lower.

Unfortunately I cant make better close-up screenshots since I dont wanna buy the costume, but those edges are noticeable in game and remind me of old Lara Croft's model:

What really annoys me with this is, that they show the same kind of "painfully average" as at start - some content is just fantastic and then they do something like this, what is absolute crap - and hurt their reputation with it and the feeling in me is rising again, that I support a greedy company, who is not willing to put in the effort especially when they want extra money, as if they would think "well, they are addicted anyway and have to buy, they have no choice, why not just feed them crap".
