No, Pino didn't prove that. Pino knows a poll, any poll on this forum is biased.
- Pino knows that the overwhelming majority of the forum-members are PC users.
- Pino knows that 70 people can't represent the opinion of 1, 2 or 3 million players.
- Pino also knows that some people created a lie in answering the poll. The question was "Do you have attached a keyboard to your console (PS4 or Xbox One)?" while some of these people don't have a console at all. lol
In short Pino is 100% sure that a poll, any poll on this forum can't be used for serious goals, but only for pleasure and amusement.
And now Tommy knows it too.

Ohhhh... so a poll is bias when it doesn't show the result you wanted... thanks for clearing that up Pino.
I get the feeling pino thought the poll would go a different way lol

Tommy, are you really believing 70 votes could represent 1 million (minimum) people?
Your homework of today:
- Study the concept statistical significance. You may even use Wiki.

Me thinks that for a poll meant to be just "for pleasure and amusement", Pino spent quite a lot of time on his own poll explaining to people what he meant by "attached keyboard" and making it very clear that he had made the poll to prove the particular point that he's not the only one not using an attached keyboard.Tommy, are you really believing 70 votes could represent 1 million (minimum) people?

Me thinks that Pino would totally overlook the concept of statistical significance if the poll had given him the results HE expected.
@pinozino you contradict yourself in soo many ways and on soo many levels it's amazing really.
In that same thread you started, a poster stats he uses the virtual keypad and you say he's the only one out of millions of PlayStation users that does so, so I'm left thinking, did you ask the millions and millions of ps users to formulate he was the only virtual keypad user or did you just pull that little factoid out of thin air?
So please apply your own logic to your own replies.

Not at all. And even if the results would be different, it wouldn't change my position.
So, you are believing too that 70 votes can represent the opinion of minimum 1 million people? lol
If you do, then you are probably not aware that even the answers in my poll are biased?
The sequence of the answers determines which will be selected more.
If the first answer would be the last option, it would get less 'yes' people.
It means, in a valid poll, you have to switch the position of the answers for several random groups of users.
But ok, if you like to use the results of a biased poll, it's fine for me.
So Anita too believes 70 votes can represent 1 million people? lol

Where did I wrote "...only one out of millions of PlayStation users that does..."?
Let us start with this.
No not at all, because I believe that the poll represented the opinions of the 70 people THAT ACTUALLY VOTED.
If YOU want a poll that represents the opinions of a million plus then maybe YOU should ask a MILLION plus people.
Get back to me when you have THAT poll finished.
However, still fighting - well, more something like struggling.
I don't get that. Why do you do that? That would be interesting to know for me. Really.

You don't need to ask 1 million people their opinion to get a solid result with a healthy fault tolerance.
But what do you know about it? If you're honest: nothing. However, still fighting - well, more something like struggling.

My wife is a lawyer. There is no way I would discuss 'the law' with her. One: she's the expert. Two: I'm the law noob.

You forgot some context as well, the picture:
I feel sorry for you that you really assumed that I would think there's only ONE virtual keyboard user.

Tommy1979AtWar wrote: »Since I've already debated this I'm just going to answer the OPs titled question "Console players how do you feel about having no txt chat?".
Ok let's see...
I feel slightly PO because it's supposedly an mmorpg yet communication is limited to local area voice chat where I'm either forced to listen to the dreggs of the gaming worlds daily goings on, which includes everything from crap music, terrible mics, family arguments, bathroom breaks to racist slurs etc or leave the channel and not interact with anyone at all while I go about my business.
Has anyone at ESO live ever noticed the distinct lack of community events from console when reading them out?.
I feel sad but unsurprised that many have left so soon after console release or that I've seen "lack of a chat box" be cited among the many reasons for quitting on many seperate occassions, a few are now wishing to transfer from console to PC but most have just left completely as a transfer wouldn't be an option for everyone even if it was made possible.
I feel let down when I watch ESO live and there's still no acknowledgement of this much called for basic feature despite the support of the majority of community members whom have taken the time to constructively add to those many dozens of threads. (seriously even PC players don't understand why we don't have text chat)
But hey at least we're all upto date on the really important issues like what time the "evening of tea tasting special blends" get together is on PC/Mac
I feel annoyed that it doesn't even seem important enough to warrant a simple yes, no or "we've heard you and we're taking another look at that as an option for you guys" answer from zos.
This helpful poll from Pino shows that a majority of console users would find a use for text chat as they either already have a keyboard attached, attach one whilst playing ESO or would indeed attach one should an optional text chat become available.

I feel embarrassed not just for Zos but also myself when I see that Rocket league (an indie game with a tiny budget and which was free on PS4) actually has a chat box whilst this AAA mmorpg title doesn't.
I feel mostly dispondant with this game these days overall, so much so that it's to the point now where I log on... I raise an eyebrow at seeing so very few people around (PS4 EU)... I do my writs and first pray to and then curse the RNG... I sigh in dispair at the stale economy... I think about crafting and then think "what's the point, they can buy it at the crownstore"... I feed my mount, I facepalm the latest ability nerfs, I pause for a moment to ponder facing the load screens... and then I log out.
And when I've done all that I log into the forums of sunshine and light here to see if there's any news on the issues important to me, sadly disappointed here too.
On a brighter note FO4 is almost here whilst it's not an mmo it really doesn't feel like ESO is at the moment so please reconsider the decision which removed text chat from the port to console.
My 2 cents.

I didn't say that.
I said that you made a poll that *looked* very serious (the way you explained people what you meant, argued with their comments, etc...) and you declared it biased and invalid after the results of the poll went against your own arguments.
If you genuinely believe that any poll and all polls on this forum are biased and invalid, I wonder why you bothered making one in the first place.
I don't believe that 70 votes represent 1 million people, I don't believe that polls are valid (even the ones with greater statistical significance), but I believe that your argumentation is weak, fragile, inconsistent and opportunistic, and lacks thoroughness in every way.
I even believe that most UI experts are needed, competent and rigourous people. I just don't believe you're one of them.
Lol you asked for proof, I provided it .
So basically you suddenly agree a poll on the ESO forum is always biased.

Only if I used it, I'm using it for serious purposes. While it's clear that I'm able to show why any poll here is biased. Ok. lol
It doesn't matter what you believe about UI experts. You will never hire one. You know it all by yourself.
It doesn't matter even more if you don't believe I'm one or not. You're not a close friend, you're not family, you're not some business relation. What you think about me, I really don't care.
With all respect, but even the opinion of my dog about me is far more important as yours. Really.
