I'm not defending anything. I'm just sick of people flat-out lying about "ZOS lied". Like I've said many times in this thread, I don't see how increasing the cap makes sense if you're going to remove VR entirely, so obviously I don't agree with their plan. I'm not going to make up complete lies about them because I don't agree with their plan, though. That's the difference between you and me. I prefer to talk about what is and isn't a good idea rather than just smear those I disagree with.Gandrhulf_Harbard wrote: »

By having a proper business plan, confidence in the competence of their employees and a genuine passion for their game.
SWTOR announced FE at E3.
To all intents and purposes that release date is now set in stone, 4 months from now.
If they can do it, Zeni should be able to do it.
That they can't is quite worrying.
It suggests:
1) No clear road-map for the game ahead, so that resources are pulled between conflicting deadlines.
2) A lack of confidence in their staff to be able to deliver on what was promised.
3) Taken together that indicates that a) they have no idea what is actually involved in delivering this game and b) they have no idea what they are doing.
Now, is there anything in those three points I have just made that DOESN'T fit with the known facts about the last 12 months of ESO?
All The Best
You can have a proper business plan, you can have confidence, competence and a truckload of passion, and you still won't be able to guarantee that what you planned half a year ago will be possible today.
Because you cannot possibly anticipate everything that happens in those six months that will influence your plans.
Plans are plans, not contracts written in stone and signed with blood. They are a statement of intent, nothing more.
(Next up in 'explaining the obvious': Water is wet, and the pope is catholic. Stay tuned!)

This "people" doesn't mind VR levels. Just saying.

This is the second time they have increased Veteran Ranks since they started talking about removing the Veteran System and Veteran Ranks.
The first time was to allow advancement in Upper Craglorn for the players who were already at the top Veteran Rank.
ZOS is obviously not ready with all of the level and itemization changes necessary to remove Veteran Ranks. They very clearly stated that it is still a goal, although still a long term goal. They also stated that they would not just be replacing Veteran Ranks with new levels, which is a popular theory in the forum.
Once again we are on the eve of a content update like Upper Craglorn with no place for Veteran Rank 14 players expand. Since Veteran Ranks are going to part of the game when these areas are opened, there needs to be character advancement in the Veteran System. Enter Veteran Ranks 15 and 16.
Players will be advancing in both Veteran System and Champion System with the new content, just as they do today with the existing content.

Dude, you're the only one shaking your head.
Rylana is exactly right, when you do something directly contrary to your stated intention, it makes you that much more untrustworthy and your word more hallow.
And stop with the boldface and CAPS lock with the whole right now nonsense. They announced their intention almost a year ago.

6 pages and counting and why am I not surprised the only ZOS interaction is a standard reminder to be nice
I for one am taking this as an indication of more content coming with the increase. Also try not to spread misinformation while true the origanal content got you from 1 to v10 lower craglorn was released with enough to get to v12 and upper had enough to get to v14. Dont know about you guys but seems like a pattern to me.

2. Oct 2014- Defended VR14 (ZOS said- We are introducing new zone so its needed)
3. Jan 2015- Defended Champion Point & Removal of Veteran Rank (Champion system gave player more choice and after champion system no need to VR)
4. Feb 2015- Defended B2P
5. Feb 2015- Defended new Champion points allotment (We are tracking players points but we want to treat all equal so giving 70 to all)
6. March 2015- Defended delay of DLC (coming soon after Console launch)
7. July 215- Preparing a speech to defend VR16
Dear ZOS can you plz concentrate fixing the game and stop lying to us.

Speak for yourself. I, for one, am glad that they are expanding the veteran ranks.
Removing veteran ranks was never a possibility. Absolutely everything in the entire game depends on it.
For those who don't want it, sorry. Earn the veteran ranks just like everyone else has.

Yes a linear patern which forces players to follow a narrow path instead of actualy exploring the game in a true Elderscrolls fashionable way.
Removing the VR rank would be very beneficial for the game for a couple of reasons :
1) Removing VR lvls would open Cadwell's Silver/Gold content to none linear exploration.
2) Give acces to a higher variety of gear sets which are currently unusable because those are exclusive to certain VR caps.
3) Make PvP more accessible to players because they wouldn't be forced to grind their way up to VR14 (or 16 whatever) to even get a chance to beat other max level players in PvP.
By increasing the VR cap, ZOS is just adding a new time barrier to players already up to VR14 and making all the progression spend previously toward ressources and gear a complete waste of time.
ZOS is basicaly wasting time to waste players time for something they will eventualy remove from the game in the future... Which I believe, in my honest oppinion, is just pathetic!
