Doesn't this just make it worse?
Maybe for players who are too lazy to earn the veteran ranks or champion points.2 -

Seriously though I'm new to ESO being on Console and all, but I'm VR1 and don't see much issue. I wasn't there for the great 12 month content drought many talk about but you weathered through that so honestly how is 2 VR all that bad?

Veteran levels were meant to be taken out and the champion system was meant to take over this is just going to keep widening a gap.7 -

Funny enough mods were closing down VR15 threads the other day saying that there were no plans to increase Vet levels.
Hopefully new regions won't require us to complete Craglorn. At the point in giving up trying to solo it (because no one wants to group there...).House Nyssara (NA)

✭✭✭✭✭I don't understand Eric Wrobel when he talked. What was the exactly reason for VR 16? Can somebody who understands Eric better explain that to me again?
@Chufu How I understood it - it was that due to itemization being so tightly knit with VR ranks - in order to add better gear to the game - they had to add VR ranks.
To OP.. remember... they are adding 2 veteran ranks - and at the same time are increasing Caldwell questing XP by 50%, doubling xp from public dungeons, raising xp in Crag (quests and mobs) by 20% and making VR take 15% LESS xp.

You have to get new gear either way. This is true with expansion level cap raising in ANY game. The numbers are purely cosmetic; it literally means NOTHING whether it is level 75 or Veteran 16 or Taco 43. It is a meaningless designation of rank.
People obsessed over the removal of veteran ranks have yet to give me a single decent argument as to why.
The best I can think of is that they want cross-faction zones where you can flag as PVP and each faction has its own UNIQUE quest hubs, instead of the Cadwell Time Warp, and I would like this too. I just don't think ZOS wants to invest the money in that sort of overhaul.
Not when people are willing to throw money at mount skins to "support the company." Where is the incentive to EARN out loyalty?

It's more the point that the last thing we heard from ZOS a few months back was that they were planning on literally phasing out the VR. Now we hear they are increasing the VR cap. Just another lie. Another betrayal...8 -

Been here since day 1 and multiple VR14 characters. The whines are coming from those who don't want to grind out the ranks and champion points. They want to be on an even playing field as soon as they install the game.4 -

The two different level formats are just silly. Every new additional Veteran Rank just makes levels 1-50 more and more pointless. so far its 2 mln xp points. And all the quests and mobs give you xp of lvl 50
If you like that kind of games its good for you. I dont. They say now they will reduce this and rise that, eh we will see.0
