Console text chat discussion

Just FYI, never apply cold water or ice to a burn. It sounds like it would be helpful but in fact it makes the burn much worse. I see patients that do this on a daily basis almost. The issue is when you get burned your epithelial cells lose a good bit of fluid and quickly applying cold water not only restricts the blood vessels but it can also cause cells to become overly concentrated with water causing them to burst.2 -

Sure, my want is that they continue to keep text chat out of the console version, and that ppl new to this type of mmo gaming use what the devs have in place to trade, chat etc etc.
That is not every ones stance, but it's not just mine.I'm offended that ur offended....

We should have the option at least. I've been on the pc version of ESO since beta, transferred onto PS4 when given the opportunity, and have played for 2 days now since it came out and 20min into it I turned the voice chat off. I don't want to hear people breathing, eating, screaming, swearing and generally just being a nuisance instead of talking.
I would like to be able to text for help, to sell items, to recruit for a guild, to communicate with those friends who cannot hear and/or have a speech problem. This should be already built into the game.
On the pc version we can just close the text chat if we don't want to look at it, but please, at least give us the option to have one.1 -

I'm still curious as to why you feel that the inclusion of an option text chatbox will hinder your gaming experience in ESO if you simply turn the chat off and continue using Voice Chat like you have been.
I'm not baiting anything, I'm asking you a very simple question. One that you haven't actually answered yet amidst stories about your blind friend or making yourself out to be some kind of glorified console hero.
If you can't say why you think it would actually bother you to have an optional text chatbox that you just don't use, it's really very hard to take your opinion of not wanting it as anything more than just "I don't like it, so nobody can have it". : /2 -

If u haven't been able to understand by now, there is no reason to keep going round and round with u. Typing the same thing over and over hasn't helped, so feel free to assume/guess watever u like man. my stance and reasons haven't changed and they will not. I suspect the reason is that an addition of a text chat will have many people using it.
He will then either be forced to use it himself, or to shut it off and miss out on these communications..but from what he says in this thread, that would be my guess..1
