Considering we paid a subscription for Content and essentially we only got a Half finished Champion system, some Daily grinds and a poorly thought out Craglorn for our money, most have a reason to feel totally ripped off. 100 crowns is rubbing our noses in the manure.
In reality with 'content' put on hold there seems little reason to continue subscribing. Wait until content comes out and then decide it you want it or not. Based on ZOS's past efforts, the likely hood is not.
PVP will still be a lag fest if you pay or not. As I largely do PVP it will make little difference it I put out the cash or go and buy a Pizza with it. Alimentary my dear Watson. (yes spelt that way on purpose)

lol again you will be quitting then I take it?

Because I don't know about you but I got to play a game that I paid for and continued to play and pay for since launch. How have I not gotten my moneys worth? I would think that its safe to say that anybody that hasn't quit or has been paying for that game has gotten there moneys worth to. Because if they haven't gotten their moneys worth they should have quit by now. I mean who continues to play and pay for a game that has failed them in their expectations.

@rynth‌ Indeed! That's exactly the case. As is it the case for most people in this thread. I would've simply wanted more crowns, or none but the 500 for buying the game. 100 seems unjustified to me and a waste of the coder's time.
Doesn't seem to do what ZOS claimed it was for, to show their appreciation to their loyal fans; giving less than a months worth of backward rewarded crowns for a year of subscription.

as I said if everybody here doesn't quit or un sub which ever it is, then really and truly it didn't bother them enough. Zos is being nice and giving those have sub'd prior to this some crowns. Bottom line is they don't have to give us any extra crowns for sub'ing prior. They are being nice and people are being greedy little cry babies about it. We all got what we paid for already game time nothing more nothing less.

People are crying and moaning before anything is in game or even experienced. Its easier for them to complain about the game and continue to sub, gives them reason and a sense of self worth

I think many people kept their subs to support the dev team develop the future content that they have already been showing us, such as Wrothgar, Murkmire, Imperial City, Justice system...

You know, the stuff that they started developing while their PC subbed players were paying their monthly salaries.

There is a very little % of people that pay a first year mmorpg sub for the content that is already there instead of the content they expect to see, at least that is my experience with the people I have met since EQ (lineage2 prelude, daoc, warhammer online, vanilla wow, star wars..) in P2P mmorpgs recently released.

You either reward them properly, or do not. Giving a reward for a full year of sub that is less than what people will get the first month of their "premium" membership is a bit backwards. There was no need for them to do it if as you say they feel no debt with their playerbase.

100 is laughable cheap, there were people who were supporting it. But honestly I don't see much that would sell for anything below 100 coins.

Like I said before, I don't want my months of subscription loyalty from launch amount in the eyes of ZoS to mean I get 5 soul gems for each month I played this game. Since launch this game also hasn't been bug free either.

I would of expect better gratitude from the people who needed our money to support their lives, especially after the game reviewers tore this game a new one and told others not bother paying for it.

But right now, what can I expect from a company that has basically milked us for all we have and decided to change a business model to stop this game from failing?

so this is the reason why they did this? Can I see where it is that they stated this, or is this just your opinion based on your own thoughts.

also I'm curious have they shown prices for items in the crown shop and all that. I mean people are getting upset at the amount so obliviously its posted by Zos somewhere what the prices are on things.

I think its actually quite easy to estimate the price when subscription will amount to 1500 coins. Given that, its quite easy to assume that such products may come up to 500 coins each.

Honestly 100 coins for $15 dollars to loyal subscribers since launch is barely charity let alone a thank you and appreciation for continued support. You don't need a company to state they only care about your money and not your loyalty when they express it with this announcement. Honestly I was hoping they would increment their loyal customers with 300 coins maximum if they were subscribed for more then 4 months

But you can go on thinking that. But don't despair when all you can get from your loyal support is maybe some weak health potions or soul gems.

If a company can't show proper appreciation for such loyal support then why would people subscribe when they will just buy DLC direct and forget the shop itself if they feel like all the game wants is more of your money?

They are upset about the comparison between 11 months pre-B2P subscription reward (1100 crowns) and a single month premium membership reward post-B2P (1500 crowns).

There is no need for them to know the stuff average price in crowns when they are upset about the comparison pre/post-B2P, so obviously, they are upset, the reward is low and you lack reading comprehension.

My first premium month will grant me almost 50% more crowns than my previous 11 months subbed to this game waiting for Wrothgar, Murkmire, Imperial City, Spellcrafting...

LOL really!?! Honestly this is all people are upset about? that is funny.

Bottom line is this people have two choices right now. A: they can continue to play the game or not. And B: if they are going to continue to play are they going to sub or not. That is all there is to it cry and bitching and moaning over couple of hundred crowns difference wont matter or anything. Again if you are going to continue to play why ***? Obviously this new direction the game is going can't bother you that much if you are going to stay and play. If it bothers you then you are going to leave. But staying and still crying bloody murder about how unfairly you as a gamer and sub is treated is just ***. lol all you frothing at the mouth over couple of hundred crowns that have no meaning in real life.

@rynth‌ You ask about the majority of people, how @Mithe‌ is able to say the majority of people wished for more crowns.
Yet ZOS is using the same argument during their ESO Live for the amount of players asking for a F2P/B2P business model and not a P2P. Those numbers must come from the forums, because I have never seen a poll or survey to ask every single player the same information.

And yes @rynth‌ it is about the comparison of the amount of crowns everyone is getting for subscribing for a year versus the amount a new player will receive for paying ESO Plus one month regardless of crowns vs prices in store ratio. If you would've read all of the posts, you would've known this.

Yeah I think they must have been talking about people who aren't playing the game, as I can say for a FACT most people who were subbed didn't want the model to change. There are polls on the forums that support this.

Whilst I was also in that group, finally getting cosmetics, pets and mounts that I've been craving for month's now almost makes me look forward to the change.

It's also a way for me to get my fiance back on eso at least occasionally.

However, I do feel that zos has not been honest at all when talking about the reason for this change, and the amount of crowns we get for previous time subscribed is honestly disgusting.

I feel this could have all been handled MUCH better.

Honestly its the way people feel treated by ZoS at the moment and blind zealotry while telling everyone they should be grateful and kiss ZoS feet for the 100 crowns per month loyalty makes you look like a blind fanboy.

This is a business and they need to keep their customers. I do think ZoS will actually add a more fairer amount for those who subscribed if they want to attract former subscription. There are plenty of MMO's who seem to provide better quality they would of gone back to.

I don't think people who left are going to look back at this game if all they are going to get 100 coins for each month they put up with this game from what they can obviously see is going to be 1500 subscription coin reward and decide to subscribe back. Judging by that its easy for others to estimate whether items will be 300 or more.

That is the point, trying to get former players to come back and support the game. That's hard when the company you have loyally supported since launch seems not to give a damn about it.

I didn't want the model to change either, I was happy with the subscription and the future that would've been included with that.

When I heard about the news it was quite disappointing, but after watching the ESO Live and seeing what kind of items would be in the store I got more excited about it as well. Still the subscription going away is a disappointment, I wouldn't have minded the store in addition to the mandatory subscription.

@Digiman‌ The way we are treated is indeed the problem. It doesn't mean because we aren't treated right in our eyes that we would stop playing a game we like. We would simply be rewarded more, or not at all in the form of crowns, for the loyalty and support we have been giving ZOS.
And @Digiman‌ I believe you are correct in your statement about @rynth‌, it can be seen in his started discussion on how everyone needs to calm down.

It seems that the "fans" that ZOS listened to when making the decision to remove the subscription requirement (since they said they did it because the fans wanted it) were the facebook fans. That's where every. single. post. had people yelling "WHEN F2P?!?!!!?"...

So, I think that might be where those of us that think 100 Crowns per month is insultingly low need to post our thoughts.

It seems like you need to be logged in to facebook to see the page.

    What's Facebook?
How can they listen to people on a Facebook page where any random person can post, even those that do not have access or ever played the game.
Meaning people who might want to play the game, if it was F2P, or just random trolls trying to bash on any MMORPG that isn't Call of Duty... Oh wait, that's no MMORPG.

I think the same... The game was and is good. I understand that some people feel abused for beta testing the game... but it wasnt that bad. I just kinda feel abused for getting 100 crowns (thats total about a half of one new month [1500 crowns]) for each played month. I also think that 1500 for each played is too much... it would be to much advantage for us compared to new players... but 500-800 would be good enough and it would "appreciate our beta testing", like some people are feeling^^
